Though this is a plot finder, I'm very loose with specific roles! I'd like the plot to form around everyone's characters and not be all about leafie <3
Essentially, the only thing necessary for this plot, is a group of outsiders! But other roles would be super cool.
Darkleaf is a 59 moon old ShadowClan warrior.
+ Responsible, friendly
= Hopeless romantic, chatty, perfectionist
-- Workaholic, cowardly
Context for Darkleaf:
After the death of their father [npc], and his final words to them, Darkleaf is left bewildered and questioning their place in the clan. After moons of being pushed, she's essentially told to... Do whatever she wants. Rockheart tells her that he wants her to be happy, and that, maybe, that might mean leaving clan life behind.
This is a huge condensation, but I'm gonna post a full piece of writing for this at some point ^
Outsider A:
Outsider A can be from any faction - loner, kittypet, street cat, anything!
Very open to any personality, I just ask that they aren't super hostile or battle hungry.
Hunting around the territory, Darkleaf encounters an outsider (A). They have a conversation - Darkleaf doesn't become hostile. Normally, they'd challenge the cat, but right now? Their brain's too scrambled. The outsider makes life outside the clans sound appetising - peaceful. They'll start meeting more regularly, and Darkleaf eventually chooses to leave the clans, and join them.
I would love for these two to develop a romantic relationship, Darkleaf is a proper hopeless romantic. But this is not a necessity! Platonic is absolutely fine too.
Other outsiders:
If A already has a group of friends, Darkleaf will join them. Otherwise, the two will begin to collate a small group. Coming from the clans, Darkleaf believes it'll be easier to survive with a group - however, she doesn't want this to be anything like a clan. Just a small group that live together.
ShadowClan witnesses
Possibly, Darkleaf will tell a friend or acquaintance they're leaving. Or, maybe someone sees her sneak off with an outsider?
Darkleaf would not tell Dawnstar, of course, however, said witnesses are free to report to Dawnstar if they so choose.
Other roles
If you have any extra ideas throw them my way! (:
Moreeee
If you want to know more about Darkleaf's personality, there's a ramble below. My aim with this plot is for them to actually figure out what their values are, and stop running from how they truly feel.
More often than not, they can be seen flitting about camp, doing as many little chores and duties as possible. Despite her dedication to her duties, she finds herself shy of conflict - cowardly. They're a mediocre fighter at best, unable to keep up with others - they barely stand a chance on the battlefield. So, they hang back whenever they can. This fact is often hidden away with talk of peace, but it still remains - she's too scared.
This doesn't actually take up much of their thought. To be honest, they believe their own lies at this point, buried deep into their subconscious. They think themselves a loyal and dedicated cat, which for the most part, they are. They're far more concerned with other duties, hunting, patrolling, maintaining the camp. In pushing themselves, they've become a bit of a workaholic - chatty whilst they work - but still, a workaholic. Keeping still can be a hard task for them, it always feels like something needs to be done, even sleeping's become troublesome lately. But, they persist. That's just what it's like to live in the clan, right?
Besides this, Darkleaf is a true hopeless romantic. They believe in love above all else (well, most of them time). Of course, they have an idealised view of romance and what it would be like to have a mate - but they're also a romantic in how they view the world and the clans. Maybe in growing past her fear of conflict, she could learn the actual beauty of peace, instead of using it as a scapegoat?
Recently, she let go of one romantic ideal - for better or for worse. That she can always help. In an argument with previous apprentice, Owlthroat, they finally decided that he chose his own path, and that she didn't make him 'the way he is'. Is this true? Not entirely. She was there during his formative years, she could have tried harder, and she could have helped. But she didn't. After moons of hoping he'd changed, they gave up. Their view of the world is finally soured, at least a little. However, this isn't for the better, at least not entirely. She certainly won't try to interfere with another cat's life - after all, in her opinion, the path they choose is their choice alone.
I just finished designed a new loner named Sprig! They’re a pretty chill, go with the flow type that might be able to fill one of those outsider roles.
I also have Embercloud in ShadowClan who would be a good sounding board!
Just a lil update to let you guys know I'm still planning on going through w this plot !! Just waiting on a compatible love interest or group of friends, even if that takes foreverr lol
