They...won? The dogs ran away? And none of them were killed! The dogs weren't killed off either, they survived too. No one died? Just a bit tired. Maybe more than just a bit tired. A smile crept up their face ever so slightly. This is...probably the best outcome they could've asked for even if...some of them were slightly wounded. No casualties. Their blue hues shifted back down to their foreleg, the smile dropped back down into a neutral face. They...don't exactly need to go to the medicine den right now..maybe they should get it checked out? It'll probably start stinging more later. And they didn't need the possibility of it getting infected..maybe just a small check up and after that they'll go back to whatever.

After recovering from being kicked back, Fadingstar tried to charge forward again. He was quite out of breath, however, so he was sluggish in his movement as he leapt at the dog once more, claws attempting to rake down its side.

Group 1 results: The dog rolled a 17!

The dog was fast on its feet, allowing it to evade both Sunsetgleam and Willowtail's attacks. As it saw Rowanmane lashing out at its underbelly, it arched its back to avoid the worst of the attack. Rowanmane's claws still connected with its underbelly, however.

Fadingstar, in his sluggishness, wasn't able to strike the dog in time. As a result, the dog leapt back and evaded the strike.

Group 2 results: The dog rolled a 1!

Irisdream and Dusklion's attacks were viciously successful; blood began to pour from two wide, severe gashes in the dog's hind leg and neck. It stumbled forward, eyes becoming glassy. No longer caring about the cats around it, it began to panic. Its attempt to flee didn't succeed; it quickly slumped to the ground and stilled.

Group 3 results: The dog rolled a 12!

Silentstrike's teeth sank painfully deep into the dog's neck, causing it to howl and begin thrashing about. Its thrashing allowed it to avoid Rosehawk and Irisfrost's attempted blows, but that didn't mean it was faring particularly well. The wound from Silentstrike was painful and significant; with one last, pained snarl, the dog began to flee. It didn't try too hard to shake Silentstrike off of it, its focus being on getting the heck out of there.

Group 4 results: The dog rolled a 6!

The dog howled as pain shot through its body from multiple angles. Four different cats, all striking it at the same time. The level of pain it was experiencing in that moment, combined with the feeling of blood running down multiple parts of its body, was enough to convince it that this fight wasn't worth continuing. It attempted to swing one last, heavy blow at Pristinerose; regardless of whether it succeed or not, the dog would flee.

Group 5 results: The dog rolled a 10!

The dog managed to throw its head back in time to avoid Primrosepaw's attack, but it didn't successfully evade Heroneye and Caveclaw. Snarling as it felt claws tear into its leg and latch on to its side, its eyes drifted up enough to catch its fellow dogs fleeing. It also saw one of its packmates lying dead on the ground. Only one of the dogs remained.

The sight was enough to convince the dog that the fight was lost. It kicked out with its hind legs one last time, not aiming at anyone in particular, and then fled.

Noticing that all of its fellow dogs were either fleeing or dead, the first dog decided to follow suit. With its departure, the new camp was secure.

This event is finished, and RiverClan has secured their new camp! Thank you to everyone for your help and participation in this event; you may go ahead and begin roleplaying in the regular den/clearing threads once more. If you're interested in details about how the new camp is set up, I'll be including them in my final meeting post for the September meeting in a couple of days!

As soon as she noticed the dog starting to retreat, Caveclaw unlatched her claws from it and landed on the ground, barely managing to avoid landing on her broken leg.

She looked to the cats who had fought with her.
"Is everyone alright?" They asked, limping over.

Primrosepaw´s blow may have missed, but it sent it straight into the attacks of Caveclaw and Heroneye. Watching it flee through narrowed emerald eyes, the apprentice dropped to all fours.

She whipped around at the sound of Caveclaw´s voice. ´´I´m fine,´´ Primrosepaw mewed, shaking out her pelt. Parts of it had been stained crimson with dog blood, though she hadn´t been injured herself. ´´Not a scratch. This is all dog blood.´´ The RiverClanner turned a worried gaze on Caveclaw´s leg. ´´Are you alright?´´

Rosehawk saw Silentstrike faint out of the corner of her eye. ´´Silentstrike!´´ She yelped, slipping beneath him to let him topple on top of her and soften his fall. ´´Duskleaf, help me get Silentstrike on my back. QUICKLY! We need to get him to Berrypaw.´´

Heroneye watched as the dog--and each of the other dogs, for that matter--each turned tail and fled. They had won the fight, and, what's more was that they had finally found a place to settle back into. After how many moons had passed, it felt almost unreal. She took a moment to allow her gaze to settle upon the clearing. Home. She would have to get used to calling it that.

She turned to each of her patrolmates, in turn: a silent thank you. Without them and the rest of her Clanmates working in tandem, none of it would have been possible. StarClan only knew where they'd wind up then. Rotting in the abandoned Twoleg den for a few more moons, perhaps.

At Caveclaw's question, Heroneye gave a nod before wrinkling her brow slightly, the side of her gaze turning towards her shoulder as she felt a trickle of blood come down her leg. How irritating. Apparently, the adrenaline had kept that wound from aching during the battle, but that wouldn't last forever. She supposed she would have to do something about that. Later.

Dusklion - RiverClan Deputy

As the dog went still underneath her, the deputy leapt off and landed next to it, claws still unsheathed incase it was just playing around. But after it didn't move for a bit, she finally drew her claws back in. "Caveclaw [ @Idiotic.Bean ], I want you headin' back to camp to get that leg checked out." She turned to look at the tom, then down at his leg. Yeah, that looked like it hurt. Parting her jaws to say something else, she was cut off by a loud yowl. Her head snapped over to see Silentstrike falling onto the ground.

There was no time now as the warrior was lying limp on Rosehawk's back. The deputy bounded over, noticing the blood coming from his head. "Careful of his head - don't jostle him around much," she ordered, claws tearing up some of the moss underpaw. Carefully she used it to dab lightly at the head wound, soaking up as much blood as she could. Head injuries were difficult, and hard to come back from. If they had lost a Clanmate here today...

Since there were no orders given after the dogs fled, Dusklion looked up. "Rosehawk
[ @paedyn ], Duskleaf [ @Concorde ], 'n Irisfrost [ @kittycatburmise ], I want you three takin' Silentstrike back to camp." That was already handled well and good. Looking around for those who were injured, she knew of Caveclaw with a nasty looking leg. Sunsetgleam, too, could use a check up. Redmire seemed in good enough shape... "Redmire [ @dino. ]," she called to the warrior, "I want you leadin' those who're injured back to camp. Rowanmane [ @Rowan ], Heroneye [ @Fits ], Goldfish [ @Blaaze ] - you go with her to start roundin' up those back at camp. Make sure warriors stick with 'paws 'n queens with kits. I don't want anyone strayin' from the group so keep an eye on them." Two Lionhearts would be good to help keep the group organized, she was sure.

"Cats who're injured, listen up!" Dusklion lifted her voice above the groups. "Head back to the temporary camp with Redmire, Rowanmane, Heroneye, 'n Goldfish. See Berrypaw if you need to - 'n I mean it. If I find out you let an injury go untreated, you won't like what happens." After having numerous situations in which cats didn't go and get their wounds looked at, the deputy wasn't taking anymore chances.

With that out of the way, she turned to glance at her brother [ @occultation ]. He looked worse for wear, that she was sure of. "...I want you goin' back to camp, too," she grunted, and though it was an order there wasn't as much bite to it as usual. "Can't have you droppin' dead as we reach the new camp. Go back with Redmire's group, get checked out, 'n then help them bring the rest of the Clan. I'll take those who're uninjured here to the new camp."

Looking back over the group now, Dusklion lifted her tail. "Every cat who isn't injured! I need you at my paws." There was a lot of work that needed to be done. The dogs that were dead needed to be dragged off the territory first so they wouldn't attract predators, and then the camp would likely need to be cleaned out as well.

cats who are injured have been instructed to follow redmire, rowanmane, heroneye, and goldfish back to the temporary camp!

cats who are not injured need to post their cat coming to join dusklion!

Giving Heroneye, Caveclaw, and Lilyglide a warm blink of her eyes, Primrose approached Dusklion in a couple of swift bounds. She had been the only apprentice within the fighting. Her name had been the only name with paw in it that Fadingstar had called before the battle.

And Primrosepaw had survived.

Not only that, she had managed to get out of that fight unharmed.

Primrosepaw´s emerald eyes were wide with shock at the fact she was uninjured. To be fair, Caveclaw had gotten the most of it.

And you failed to protect her.

No, NO. No, the RiverClanner didn´t. Primrosepaw did not fail to protect Caveclaw. Her tail swaying behind her, the apprentice sat back on her haunches beside Dusklion, a haunted expression on her face.

As she is about to reply to her current patrol she overhears dusklions call, giving a swift nod to her patrol members and a smile as a wish for the best. she padded over to the deputy. she is one of the unharmed cats so she must gather around. the small mostly white she pads over and places herself down. her yellow gaze now on the ground below awaiting further instructions.
