Waspmeadow sat, listening intently to Fadingstar's announcements. The soon-to-be new apprentices began to step up one by one, and the golden-patched molly felt a strong sense of pride in her clan

Willowtail watched with pride on her face from beside Stagheart. Weepingpaw watching from the medicine den.

Sweetsap watched with a gentle purr

Rainpaw felt relief wash over her. She took once last inhale of Floodsight's scent before moving to sit next to her, laying down with her paws tucked under her. Rainpaw stuck close to Floodsight as the meeting continued, still tense that fighting might break out although for now at least things seemed to be moving along... She, like Floodsight, was relieved that an actual fight hadn't broken out, or that more demands for blood weren't being made. The whole ordeal was just...tense. It was a lot. Rainpaw's ears twitched nervously as Fadingstar continued, but she kept her eyes focused on him as he announced the reassignments and moved on to more...neutral topics.

"I wonder if I'll be reassigned at the next meeting..." She murmured thoughtfully, realizing that her current mentor, Swanberry, would be kitting soon.

Ravenpaw nodded to Redmire, not getting much more in before she stormed off. Ravenpaw heaved a heavy sigh as she watched her walking away. I hope she's alright. Ravenpaw turned her attention back to Fadingstar, listening quietly although her mind was elsewhere.

Floodsight

Reassignments. Again. She's glad she still had Aspenpaw. She hadn't done too terribly for Fadingstar to reassign him to someone else...yet. And she hoped to keep it that way. News on reassignment does drain Floodsight's mood a little. It's a little worrisome and concerning. The little ones would be more anxious, of course. Afterall, it affected their apprenticeship and delays them from becoming a warrior in some cases.

The little black and white kitten by her side had made a small small comment. One that Floodsight knew of since the last time they've spoken. Her mentor. And her concerns. "I'm sure, Swanberry would bounce back soon. If not, Fadingstar's sure to notice very soon. Meanwhile, you could always ask a Lionheart for extra help. They're plenty helpful~ I'm always available as well"

She'd given the little one a soothing lick on the head. The little one had plenty of time to catch up, and the silver warrior knows she's a quick learner. Her and Ravenpaw, both.

Foxleap's paw steps felt heavier than usual as he padded towards the clearing where the clan gathered for reassignments. The energy surrounding him was upbeat and positive, but he couldn't help feeling guilty and melancholic that his apprentice, Bluebellpaw, was nowhere to be found. The russet tom took a deep, exasperated breath as his long and luscious pelt rose and fell. Not only was he worried for his apprentice's well-being, but he had been so excited to start training. Having an apprentice was basically on par to having a kit in Foxleap's eyes; he was looking forward to passing down his teachings and helping raise the next generation of Riverclan warriors. His brown tipped ears flatted against his skull as his body betrayed his forced smile spread across his muzzle as he gazed at the newly appointed apprentices with a faint glimmer of longing in his honey hued eyes.

Shellpaw

Neither of them turned to him, so he gulped awkwardly and gazed back up at Fadingstar. The whole fiasco was over, and to be honest, he hadn't listened at all. What could be more important than his mother returning? All the basic meeting stuff resumed. Reassignments and that. Boring!
But, Beastflame was getting a reminder? Salamanderpaw's mentor? No way. He flicked his tail in irritation - Shellpaw didn't have much of a sour tongue, but if that warrior was abandoning their ever important sister's training, they'd have to have words.
Then, onto apprenticeships - wow - he'd been an apprentice for one whole moon? That's pretty cool, he thought, as a small smile spread across his lips. Oh, and Shellkit was coming up this time. Guilt pressed him a little - hopefully Shellkit wouldn't have to change prefixes again. If he did, maybe they could go visit Fadingstar to swap over. They'd never spoken to the other Shell, but he seemed super sweet.

Nutkit, Shellkit, and Daisykit all showed. Not too many kits to name as apprentices this time around, but at least they had a few.

"From this moment forward, until you complete your apprentice training, you shall be known as Nutpaw, Shellpaw, and Daisypaw. I know we already have another Shellpaw in RiverClan; that Shellpaw (sleepyyjax) has agreed to take the name of Seapaw instead. Seapaw, I appreciate your willingness to take on a new name so that your Clanmate can keep theirs. If you want the Shell- prefix back when you're a warrior, let me know.

"Nutpaw, you'll be trained by Willowtail. She's been a warrior for some time now, so I trust that she has enough experience to train you properly. Shellpaw, you'll be trained by Goldfish per request. Goldfish is a fantastic Lionheart, and I know you'll do great with her. Finally, Daisypaw, Stagheart will be training you.

"Unfortunately, due to your physical condition, you aren't going to be able to train as a warrior. It's simply too dangerous. But that doesn't mean that you'll be doing nothing as an apprentice; rather, you'll be training as a Caretaker. Your job will be to support the Clan in many different ways; by helping with the kits, and the apprentices once you're older, assisting Berrypaw in the medicine den, keeping the camp safe and tidy, and offering advice to your fellow Clanmates when they want or need it. I want you and Stagheart to visit me in my den after this meeting so that we can go over a training plan."

He knew this wasn't as exciting as training as a warrior, but Daisypaw would at least have a purpose in life with this role.

Amberwing watched carefully. She still wished she'd gotten to be up there, pressing her nose to that of her new apprentice, instead of them going missing almost instantly. She didn't know why she was surprised though, this was par for the course in her life.

Newly named Daisypaw looked around, spotting Stagheart her eyes lit up, she raced over and waited to bump noses with him, blue eyes gleaming as she looked up to him. Yay! Stag was her mentor!! Daisypaw listened to Fadingstar as he spoke about her new position in the clan. Caretaker? So she wouldn't have to hurt other cats!! Yay!! Daisypaw had been through so much pain as a little kit she'd grown fond of caring for others, but she'd never really had a knack for medical interest. This caretaker job was perfect for her!

Sweetsap cheered along with Softpaw and Summerbird. Weepingpaw gave a gentle purr from the medicine den.

Willowtail licked Stagheart's ear, her eyes wide and excited, matching her sister Daisypaw's as she ran up, "I'm a mentor!" Willowtail purred. Looking around for Nutpaw. Willowtail listened to her sister's new position, "Well look at you fancy" Willowtail teased her sister.

SHELLPAW
He/Him | RC Apprentice | 6 Moons

He was finally becoming an apprentice!!! He ran up to his mom, who was his mentor- did Mr. Fadingstar even know she was his mom?- and stretched up to touch noses with her. "I'm so glad you're my mentor, Mama!" he purred, snuggling against her.
