Just as he was returning, Birchcloud looks over at Shadeclaw and then towards the nursery, as if sensing the other warriors lingering concerns. The tom approaches the entrance to the nursery, taking a moment to think things out, and then looks back over at Shadeclaw. "We should cover up the entrance, just to be safe." He meows confidentally. "We're still not sure how the disease is spreading, but we should try to keep all that bad air out anyways." He adds, already scoping out thick vines to use. "The kits and everyone are depending on us to build something safe for them. we cant risk hesitation."
Dawnpaw nodded in agreement with the warrior and went to look for bigger sticks to use for the door that they could still push open and closed but keep the bad air out. She smiled at them and continued building
Alpinepaw nodded and quickly went to work. She walked to a nearby tree and found some wide sturdy bark next to it. Alpinepaw tipped it over to see if it was rotten. Apparently, it wasn't. So she lowered her head and carried the thick piece to the where the new temporary medicine cat den would be.

What was with her and sticking him in healing situations. Yes, he had a miniscule bit of training, but c'mon now. This was getting a little excessive. With a huff of a heave, Spiderthroat scooted around where this makeshift sick camp was. He'd gotten poisoned last time...he'd be smarter this time around.
The Calico looked over at his former apprentice, a snirk coming from him as he kept the worry unasnwered. The imagination will expand.
Hopefully. He'd pray to any God that existed out there to make sure he kept healthy this time around. "Alright you two. Let's figure out where we're wantin this built." he hummed, his pawsteps heavy and rhythmic on the dirt floor of the forest. Once there he mapped out what exactly he was planning.
Eventually, eyes landed on a tucked away area, not too far from the entrance which was nice. Slanted rocks made out the entry way while a little hole was further within. It would have to be dug out. But, it was a good start. Sturdy. Reliable.
"I'm thinkin that. Any concerns will be ignored unless it's somethin usefull. Let's get to diggin and makin it bigger." he stated, stepping towards the den. Poking his head in, if he were to guess it was just scarcely large enough for barely under half of the herbs that could be held at camp. That wouldn't do.
"Wantin more storage space. Maybe enough room for one or two nests. Don't think we're needin much space for those sleepin in here unless they're passin since this camp itself is for the sick." he stated thoughtlessly, paws pulling at the moist dirt. The further he got the wetter the dirt, at one point it became mud. Perfect. His tiny little hole he was making was decent. This was turning out perfectly.
"Alpinepaw. I'm wantin you to focus on makin lil uhhh shelves to hold herbs. Or even makin flat surfaces. Nab whatever was brought in by the two patrols. I'm trustin you to make enough storage for what we're needin." he said to the apprentice.
Next he turned to Treetiger. "You're focusin on makin that restin room. Make it big, enough for cats to roll in their sleep if they had to. And for me to scoot around sick cats to help when needed if needed without worry. Same goes for you, grab what's needed from the pile." he said.
With that. He himself made his own job to actually enlarge the entire den itself. His coat swiftly being covered with dirt and mud. The wall slowly expanding , doing his best to make select 'rooms' . As good as a cat with no opposable thumbs could do. 'walls' seperating the rest room and the entry way where the herbs would hopefully be kept. He wasn't going crazy with this. It would be left forgotten soon, as soon as everyone get's healthy once more.
He was estimating, by the time Treetiger and Alpinepaw were finished with their tasks, he himself should be done as well.
Treetiger was given her instructions and gathered up with both Alpinepaw and Spiderthroat. It appeared her former mentor couldn't escape her yet. She stared at the deputy, eagerly awaiting orders. She wasn't sure what to expect or do during this process, but it would be fine since her much older companion would know.
Right, so making restin' spots. She could do that, yes. Treetiger turned on her toes silently, getting to work with moving the dirt around to make shallow holes she'd make nests in. They were spaced enough that a cat could walk between them if needed, but large enough anyone could roll around if needed.
Next, the warrior would go grab some supplies. She'd return with some moss and feathers and get to positioning them in the shallow holes, creating nests for the sick to sleep in. With the limited supplies, she couldn't make them super cushy, but she -- or anyone -- could add more cushion to them as supplies came in.
