It took a lot for the calico to leave her nest nowadays, with the loss of her mother. But today seemed better than usual. She was able to open her eyes and had the energy to stand and groom her messy pelt. Grief still weighed down her paws, but it was lighter today. She could move them of her own free will. And so, Timberpaw, feeling more alive today than in the past moon, decided she needed to take advantage of it. She approached a tall, orange tabby, and put on a small smile. "Hey! Would you--" a small cough. Her throat was scratchy, not used to talking. Yikes. "Could you take me training? Please? I want to learn to hunt, if that's okay."

cliffjumper sat in the clearing slowly blinking his green eyes the day was good it was sunny and had a nice breeze he shuffled his front legs when he heard a small hoarse voice talk to him he looked over to see a small calico apprentice "Oh hello timberpaw" he meowed kindly the warrior tilted his head slightly when timberpaw asked him to teach her to hunt "Oh sure thing i can teach you how to hunt its no problem." he meowed standing up "Ready to go?" the tom asked

Oh, thank the Stars! "Yes please!" Some of the weight on her chest dissipated just a bit and she felt her smile turn from artificial to genuine. She turned to face the entrance, then turned back to find the warrior... gone. "Oh." Her smile dropped. But y'know what, she still wanted to go out. Which meant it was time to approach another warrior and not turn her back on them, nope. It didn't take her long to find one she vaguely recognized as Risingstorm. "Hey, uh, can you teach me to hunt? I tried to ask some other guy and he just... vanished?"

risingstorm licked his maw after his small meal the hornet rose form the ground shaking his long fur turning around nearly bumping into an apprentice the hornet stepped back " err sorry...Oh, sure I'll teach ya hunting" he meowed with a smile " Lets go! he purred leading the way out of camp

Thank the Stars... again! Not that Timberpaw truly thought she'd be denied, but there was always the idea that someone would tell her to ask her real mentor. And there was no way in hell she was doing that. As the tom purred and left camp, so did she. "Where are we headed?" she asked with a curious little mrrp.

the hornet limped forward turning his his head back slightly to answer the apprentices question " Hmmm...well I say we go to the territory its a bit more open he meowed it didn't take them long to get to the destination " here we go " he meowed turning around and stepping back slightly to keep the sun out of his green eyes. risingstorm looked at timberpaw " Why dont we get started now? he half asked

Oooh, this was nice. "Yes! I know how to uhhh, hunting crouch. I think..." She dropped into her best crouch, though she was sure it probably wasn't perfect. Timberpaw looked up at Risingstorm as she did so, tilting her head as she silently awaited approval or help.

risingstorm watched the apprentice drop into an okay hunting crouch the hornet walked over " Its good but you're a bit to close to the ground and try to keep your tail lower so prey wont see it he informed with a smile getting into his own crouch to demonstrate

Too close to the ground, hm? The calico lifted herself up a little bit, feeling unsteady. "Can I adjust my legs?" By the Stars, she kinda felt like she was gonna fall over! But ooh, her tail, too? She lowered it down, making sure not to let it touch the ground. Oh! She looked over at Risingstorm's crouch. She was... pretty similar, she thought? She adjusted herself to try to mirror him. "How's this?"
