Patrols..! Wisteriawren hadn't been expecting to be sent on one - considering she wasn't that useful - but to hear that she'd been assigned to one had the ex-kittypet getting to her paws within moments and hurrying over. She couldn't be late or last to appear, not like last time. Pausing briefly to pluck a dandelion, the grey tabby slowed at Dusklion's side to offer her friend(?) a small, grateful smile along with the plucked flower before moving on.
Thankfully, only one of the cats she'd been assigned to was here. Wisteriawren knew Goldfish - from afar because of her distinct markings - to know that this wasn't the Lionheart. Which meant... "Honey..sucklebloom..?" Wisteriawren asked tentatively as she paused beside the fluffy, sunshine tabby molly. A hopeful smile spread over her face. "Uh, I'm Wisteriawren." She probably already knew that... em, but it was good to introduce oneself, right?
"I... I like your name." When had she gotten so horrible with giving compliments?
Seabreeze blinked his eyes open as he heard his name called, he had been half listening to the deputy after the original call, but honestly he hadn't been expecting to get a patrol. Especially not leading one. Not after his utter failure of the last one. A chance, huh? The lionheart didn't really speak, pulling himself to his paws and made his way over promptly enough. At least considering he rather just... not. Strange, how just a moon or so ago he would be thinking the opposite and questioning oh anyone could be so irresponsible to just not do their job. Ironic even.
Wavebreaker was already gathered up and Seabreeze offered the tom a small dip of his head though again no words. He wasn't in the mood for words, and they weren't necessary yet. Salamanderpaw wasn't one that was on Seabreeze's radar for inability to do their job but it wasn't like Seabreeze has been the most checked in feline recently. He was actually quite the opposite for that matter. Whatever, he'll give a bit more time and then call out for the apprentice He settled down to wait for the apprentice.
"I'm here!!" Oh yeah, she is—coming in last to the round-up by bowling up to Seabreeze and Wavebreaker with a grin so wide it's more of a snarl. Realizing she's the last to get where she needs to be the cobby calico skids to a halt, rocking her weight back and glancing around idly. "Not...that it was a race, or anything," Salamanderpaw mutters, failing to downplay her disappointment. She's quick to find something to perk up about again soon enough, though:
"Hey, you think there's enemies there right now?? Haven Springs I mean. Like a...wouldn't it be cool if there was foxes? Like...little ones, I mean." Salamanderpaw's pretty convinced that she could take a baby fox. Since it's a baby, anyone could do it. The hardest part would probably be the moral dilemma (is it okay to kill a baby?), but luckily those kinds of things tend to be super easy for Salamanderpaw (yes, if it's ugly!). She looks to the two older cats for their take.

As Wavebreaker waited as patiently as he could, he watched patrol after patrol leaving. Two or three had already gone out. He clicked his teeth impatiently, his long mostly black tail twitching ever so slightly through the dirty earth. At some point after he had added a new coat of brown to his tail that did not exist prior, he noticed Seabreeze padding his direction. The multifaceted grey blue of his fur intermittently interrupted by sandy patches overlaid by smatterings of white freckles. The unique look of the youthful Lionheart was hard to miss. As he came forward, the young tom threw in a simple nod. His blue eyes were glazed with a slightly beleaguered look. Not even an apology for being late?
The dark pelted warrior stiffened a little then nodded back, the brown spots covering his fur rippling with the sudden motion. The large tomcat felt slightly put off by Seabreeze's lackadaisical approach to being called up for patrol, after already having missed the previous one... But, he has been training multiple apprentices lately. Wavebreaker reasoned. He fixed his own dark blue eyes briefly on his clanmate, before letting them flutter away pretending to scan his surroundings. Perhaps he is simply a little tired, Wavebreaker reassured himself noting again the tired look in his pupils. Dusklion's announcement that their patrol had swapped a member brought him back to his surroundings. I hope Dewpaw is feeling okay? The little white cat had been through a few tough scraps recently. Perhaps Dusklion was simply taking precautions?
Wavebreakers ears perked up, swiveling as he heard a set of pawpads thundering toward the pair. As he turned to face the newcomer who was skidding to a halt, he was blasted by a wave of dust. He quickly began to cough, shielding his eyes with one of his forelegs. His hacking was fairly heavy, so much so that it surprised him a little and he missed most of Salamanderpaw's initial statements. He recovered just in time to hear the stocky calico apprentice ask about Havensprings. Or rather, ask about Foxes in Havenspring. Great StarClan...she has only just become an apprentice alongside Fadingstars kits and she wants to fight a fox?"Salamanderpaw, first off I would appreciate it if you could exercise a little restraint next time when you approach. I'm not too fond of getting blasted in the face with dirt."
Wavebreaker cleared his throat again. "And second you only just became an apprentice...And even if you hadn't the last thing RiverClan needs is to go looking for meaningless fights." He normally wasn't the lecturing type, but Salamanderpaw had caught him off guard with both her actions and words. He turned to Seabreeze hoping he might share in the sentiment, or at least get this patrol underway.

Goldfish's head rose up from her paws, ear perked, as she heard her name called for patrols. The tortoiseshell felt relatively upbeat about going on a patrol.. even though it was on the Shadowclan border. The thought of sliding into normal clan life routine felt like sunlight peeking through the clouds on a rainy day, promising better to come. Promising peace.. If only the other clans- and her own clanmates apparently- could see how stable Riverclan was as long as they didn't cause problems. A grin formed on her muzzle as Goldfish padded over to her patrolmates. It seemed she was the last one to be present, and as sober as that felt, she did show up! And The Ace of Spades wouldn't be missing any other patrols, either. She was keen on being present to every single patrol she was called for. A brief tail-flick of greeting to Dusklion, then a nod to her patrolmates. "Ready?" she mewed. And with a pause for a response she turned to the enterance of the den. "I'm not that superstitious, but cross your paws and bite your tongues in hopes for peace."

It didn’t take too long for her patrolmates to arrive, much to the sunshine tabby’s surprise. Given she never truly interacted with the duo, the molly found herself quietly observing the both of them before giving them a small smile. After everything that has occurred since RiverClan’s exile, the most that Honeysucklebloom wanted to experience was some peace and tranquility, and hopefully, this border patrol wouldn’t enhance any sort of trouble. The large feline swerved her tufted ears, flexing her paws before preparing to leave. Wisteriawren’s introduction hadn’t gone unnoticed, the molly craning her head to rest her amber eyes onto Wisteriawren’s pretty teal blue, noting the tentative gesture coming off the fellow feline. Most of what she gave her was a small, one-sided smile towards her name being used, a subtle nod being given. Sometimes, she felt embarrassed for having such a long and lackluster name, given her kittypet roots. Then again, it wasn’t like she wasn’t used to having such a long name, her old name had been Clementine—even though it is just merely a faint memory to her now. She never really thought of her old life as much as she used to. Whiskers twitching, a lip curled upwards as Honeysucklebloom retorted to Wisteriawren’s introduction, a chuckle escaping her lips. “Hello, Wisteriawren. I can profoundly say that I equally like your name as well, it fits you quite nicely.” The gentle-hearted molly briefly rested her black-tipped tail on the other molly’s shoulders, a quiet gesture of gratitude for the compliment she received.
Hearing Goldfish pad up behind herself, the molly nodded in return, her amber eyes clouding with a brief moment of determination. In all complete fairness, she despised the ShadowClan border. All the other clan did was naturally try to cause trouble and make it difficult for her clan to try to make anything seem sensible nowadays. All the molly could hope for was some peace and serenity; perhaps even something more than that if they weren’t to run into any trouble. “Agreed.” Honeysucklebloom murmured, glancing towards the bicolored feline. “The most we can warrant out of this is no trouble uprising, but with how ShadowClan is… sometimes peace isn’t exactly something we can get all the time.” No matter how much she hated saying it, her words were true. The most Honeysucklebloom could hope for is that nothing would stand in her or her patrolmates' way.

Caveclaw was glad to see no further conversation was initiated at the border, and that Splashleap and Rainpaw were both following her.
Soon, they were back at camp, and Caveclaw approached Dusklion.
"Everything was alright at the border." The lykoi mix reported "It was marked easily, though we did encounter a WindClan patrol. But, nothing happened. They only asked about something in the river. I simply shook my head and we moved on."

Caveclaw seemed to have the whole reporting thing handled, which Splashleap was quite grateful for. She was just...sort of there, in case Dusklion needed more details that she wouldn't relish giving, and to make sure the deputy was aware she had actually done the patrol and whatnot. Yes indeed, Splashleap had been responsible and kept the peace and all that, and not lost her damn mind when Deadmoon popped up for no reason except, apparently, to make her life difficult. Whatever. Ah the day was pretty late now but at least there was still light. Adderstrike wasn't actually sure if this was going to be seen as a bad thing since both her and Rosehawk had collected a TON of prey but she was ready for the capriciousness of the high ranks of this clan. Well, expect the medkitten but Adderstrike knew NOTHING about them so who knows! Maybe she was being a bit tough on the Berrypaw but was it a bad thing that she didn't know anything about them at all or was it a good thing? No news is good news type of deal? Or, its good that she hadn't had to meet them since she was in too good of health? Alright now Adderstrike was just confused.
With that spinning of her head unsolved, Adderstrike dropped her prey down and gave Dusklion a wide grin and purr. "Look at this! We basically fed the entire clan, maybe we should keep our eyes out on more rats. They certainly are getting into something before greenleaf is over, and they will not be getting it soon enough I think." Adderstrike said as she pawed at the overfed rat. She really wasn't going to blame any animal for getting fat on their bones, not even kittypets. Exploit the advantage while you had it, it was the smartest thing you could actually do. It was just unfortunate that the rats luck streak ended with her. Which made her ponder if this was the end of her own streak too. She did have trouble finding these mice after all.
Adderstrike shook her head with a soft chuckle. "Sorry I got distracted by my thoughts, but I do have something important to say." Adderstrike said as her smile faded away and she dawned a more serious look before walking up next to Dusklion and whispered to her. "I didn't see any of that kid after we left. Which thankfully is the only bad thing that happened out there but it is disappointing none the less." With that Adderstrike backed up to give Dusklion back her personal space, she only needed to borrow it for a few fleeting moments. "And uh, I think that's it? Unless there's something else I need to do?" Adderstrike said with big curious eyes like a kitten. She was so happy to have finally been a patrol lead, but did this mean anything more than just saying what happened?

Rosehawk followed suit, dropping her three mice and two squirrels beside Adderstrike´s prey. ´´Adding onto Adderstrike´s report of the apprentice, Dusklion,´´ She mewed, blue eyes flashing with irritation. ´´Whenever we got to Sleepy Thicket, Marshpaw was no where to be found. We don´t know whether or not she didn´t follow us out of camp or just wandered off by herself.´´ The dark-cream-and-white Bengal she-cat shrugged. ´´But it pissed me off and worried me at the same time. No one knows where she is.´´
