She gave Weepingwillow a friendly nod back, accompanying it with a roll of her eyes as if to ask "What is he like?" She decided in that moment that she liked Nightwhisper's mate a lot more than she liked the tom himself, but didn't dwell on the conflict any longer. Looking over at Burnedpaw and Maplekit her smile widened into a genuine one, amusement flickering across her features as she watched them interact from a distance. They still seemed to be working through their tasks and she flicked her tail brusquely, "Maybe give them a little longer."

Nightwhisper gave a small nod of agreement. "I suppose." he mewed as he sat to wait. Weepingwillow snorted in amusement, padding over as the cats waited. "Sorry for this furball, he's strict over the litteslist things. But trust me, he was worse before we had our first litter." Weepingwillow snorted, ignoring Nightwhisper's annoyed glance, it wasn't a glare, the Tom knew if he glared.... he probably wouldn't have eyes the next second. "I'm Weepingwillow." the queen introduced gently

Maplekit had puffed out her chest at Burnedpaw’s tail flick,
and replied, obviously proud of herself for being a good helper.

”I think we gotta check where the dampest twigs are cause those are totally flexible,
and they’d work perfectly!
Let’s find a mossy place!”

She strutted over to a darker area, where it would probably be damper. Who knows?

maybe he was making an ass of himself, but quite frankly the fact cats were completely disregarding his desire to be let be was pissing him off. he had wiggled away for a reason, damn it! he was in no one's way and if they wanted to report to him it'd be pretty easy without getting too close. it wasn't like he was doing the work, just.. overseeing. in some way.

firmly, he stared at violetfreckle. "No." he refused to go there for sick-related reasons, not again. not ever. violetfreckle's paws were dangerously close to him and he was considering giving her a warning nip to back off. ".. only thing.. killing me... is having... to tell.. others to back.. off." why did they keep getting up in his business!! his part was done!! buzz off. ".. touch me, .. see what happens." he'd do it. he'd mean nip. try him.

wolfhive just wanted to wait until bumba's den was fixed, then he'd crawl in and take a nap. a long nap, like he always did.

Burnedpaw nodded, seemed like sound logic. He followed Maplekit a couple pawsteps, but quickly overtook her with his longer legs. He didn't meant to cut her off or anything, but he did know they were in a hurry. Burnedpaw reached the moss place first, and set to searching for the twigs Maplekit spoke of.

Burnedpaw found some twigs that seemed like they would work. "Over here." He mewed, waving his tail for Maplekit. He picked up one and tested it, it seemed supple but strong enough to use. The reddish-brown apprentice grabbed a jawful of the twigs and scampered back over to where they were working, setting them down before rushing back and grabbing some more.

Now to work these materials together to fix this... Burnedpaw carefully set to weaving the bracken and twigs together to cover the holes. Periodically glancing at Maplekit as he worked to make sure the kit was either helping or staying out of trouble. She seemed reliable, so he didn't doubt her work ethic. Mainly just checking on her.

Nightwhisper blinked gently. Watching the apprentice, "Good job, bend the end of the stick behind the nursery wall, so on the outside like this." Nightwhisper mewed, using oddly long claw to pull the end out as it stuck there. "When we patch it on the inside, it'll be stuck there." Nightwhispered mewed.

Knowing she would be expected to help with this part of the repair work too, Skylark finally finished weaving in the bracken wad she had been devoting her attention to, giving the patch a satisfied pat with her paw before moving over to aid Burnedpaw with his weaving work. Picking up another branch and weaving it into one of the holes she offered the other end to one of the other cats, "Look here, if I hold it down here and you get hold of the other end you can weave it through even better. Somebody give it a go, see how it works."

"Papa isn't a crabapple." Shockhoney reminded Lumpyhive for like the millionth time ever. "I forgive you for having a melty mind and forgetting, though. And for being poisoned. If you die it'd be not cool, though." Maybe Mrs. Star would be even angrier if that happened. How was one supposed to feel if their kin died? Shockhoney didn't know... all her siblings had gone missing. All she felt was... nothing? Empty?

Lost in thought for a moment, Shockhoney wrinkled her muzzle as so many cats came over. Hey, this was her job! She was right here! And then Mrs. Star's ... Shockhoney didn't understand relations ... something came to collect the Head Hornet. Theeeeen this was kinda not Shockhoney's business anymore. Cuz it wasn't like she was related to any of these guys and had to worry about 'em. Meltyhive was totally invincible, or so she assumed, if this was normal for him.

So all she did in the end was... nothing. Except sit there, turquoise gaze darting between the numerous cats. Hey... "Hey, you never gave me anything to do! You can't sleep yet!"

Still wound up about his run-in with Breezepool, Creepingpaw wandered silently towards the congregation of his fellow denmates and clanmates gathered to fix the apprentice den which had been left in shambles. His paws weighed heavily as he padded into the den. The silver and black spotted apprentice shuddered at the image of him dangling like a helpless kit from Breezepool's jaws as he was dragged out of the disintegrating den earlier. And for no reason too! He didn't need any interference and because of that there was no telling in what condition his nest was left in now. Shaking the feeling of embarrassment off of his pelt, Creepingpaw's striking green eyes widened at the state of his nest. Just as he feared, ruined. And it had taken him moons to find bird feathers to make his nest extra comfy! Shaking his head and muttering choice words under his breath, the 11 moon tom begrudgingly began heading over to the collection of materials to begin building his new nest.

Peachpaw's gone a while after his curt little nod to gather supplies. Much of this is largely because he didn't know how to carry the mud.

Though finding it is wasy enough, he spends a frustrating amount of time trying to figure out how best to move it. Should he...roll around in it and have the other two scrape it off? Ew, no! Then maybe he could...carry it in his mouth like prey?? Gross! Then, uh...umm...

The answer eventually comes to him—right! Nightgaze had needed leaves, too!

At long last, the tom comes trotting back with his mouth stuffed with mud-smeared leaves. He'd very quickly realized that the act of using the leaves to carry the mud didn't keep him nearly as clean as he thought it might, given that the amount of dirty leaves wedged haphazardly into his mouth by the time he made it back was such that there was no way out of this with a clean face. Or chest. Or paws. He's filthy, but he's back with those leaves and that mud. It looks like Nightgaze has much of the same, and Alpinepaw had found some moss.

"So do we just stick those holes full of this stuff?" He asks, too tempted to try it out to wait—Peachpaw's already curiously wedging a crack in the log full just to see if the material will stick there.
