Palepaw padded up to the group of apprentice in the clearing where it was being held. He excitedly looked around for familiar cats, but none were there. Everyone just seemed so so new to him. But that wasn't going to stop him from asking around. The pale diluted calico approached another kitten, one with gray points and bright green eyes.

"Um hiya! I'm Palepaw, what's your name?" The eager apprentice had asked, curious and wanting to make a friend. It would be nice to train, but it's also better to start getting to know your clanmates.

Oh goody, a chance to improve her skills. Though Quietpaw doubted that this random warrior could teach her anything her mother didn't already, it was an opportunity and if she wanted to become a warrior this moon then she'd take it for her own good. Not that she had a choice.

Stalking over, she sat a good distance away from the huddle of apprentices and waited to be led to soem place. This was dull. Why did so many of her denmayes have to come? This was sure to be torture. The dark splotched molly's mood had worsened from the poor state it had already had been, obvious from her overall unhappy appearance.

Mosquitopaw's back straightens for a moment before he relaxes with an ear-to-ear grin, realizing who it is. Oh! "Shadepaw! Hello! Uh, yeah, I was—I figured—I mean, it sounds fun, I think. Also useful, too." He's still not sure what all might be covered, but any training is good training, and he trusts Foggymask to have something good lined up.

"Hey, this is...this is like, we're training together," he points out, cautious—he's delighted by the concept, but he doesn't want to appear overly enthused. That'd probably be weird. So, he keeps it (hopefully) casual: "Wh-Which is cool. Um. Good luck!" He doesn't think she needs it, but he'll offer it anyhow. Like training, there's no such thing as too much luck, right?

Mintpaw turned around, excitement rushing through her veins. The small apprentice could barely suppress her energy—Woah! He wants to talk to me!—she grinned. ”Hi! I’m Mintpaw! Wow, Palepaw is a real cool name! What do you want your Warrior name to be? Me maybe Mintleaf, Mintswirl, Mintwater! Mintpaw began to bounce. ”Who’s your mentor? Mine’s Hemlockleaf, he’s so cool. I bet your mentor is cool too! Oh no. I’m asking too many questions, aren’t I? I do that a lot. Is it annoying? My mother always thought that it’s why I don’t have no friends. ‘Cause I talk to much.” she lost her composure for a second, but quickly recovered her happiness.

”your fur is really pretty.” Mintpaw said, then shut her mouth so hard she almost bit her tongue. She could feel a small bit of a blush—the red dread—creeping up her neck. Thank StarClan he can’t see it under my fur! she looked down at her paws and waited for Palepaw to grimace and walk away, off to look for a cat who wouldn’t drown him in words.

Noticing Quietpaw´s sullen appearance and expression, Pondpaw got to her paws and padded over to her denmate. ´´Hi, Quietpaw,´´ She mewed, blue eyes fixing on the other apprentice. ´´You seem upset. Is everything alright?´´

Palepaw's blue eyes had lit up upon seeing the other apprentice's enthusiasm. Rarely does he see a cat around these days with much enthusiasm, and he was more than glad there was someone who match his jittery and curious nature. He did a skip around Mintpaw before settling down himself, with his fur sticking out in all sort of weird directions from the burst of momentum he just had.

He did a little delighted gasp when Mintpaw brought up warrior names. He'd never really thought of it himself. But it was definitely cool how Mintpaw was looking ahead. "Woahhh! Mintleaf! That's awesome!! I've, i've never thought of it before. Pale..pale...hmm."

After a moment, he'd decided he couldn't think of anything on the top of his head. Palepaw did a little shake of the head, before presenting a little disappointed half grin. Though that was quickly covered by a more confident one. "I can't think of any yet. But I trust Dawnstar will give me a really cool one too!"

And when the other apprentice had compliment her fur, he was a little surprised. No one had ever complimented him on that. It had brought a small sparkle of joy in his eyes. He did a little check of his own, which he found nothing special. Maybe because he lived with it his whole life. But Mintpaw's, now that was cool. It had a interesting fade that starts from the pads of the paws. With a small soft chuckle and bright eyes, he had replied genuinely, "Oh! Thank you! Yours is too!"

Shadepaw's fur rippled when she felt Silentpaw looking at her, but the feeling quickly passed. Don't look at him, she thought. Besides, she was with Mosquitopaw now. And... He was talking. She blinked. Right. They were having a conversation. And conversations required both people... As far as she knew. She managed a nod, acutely aware of Silentpaw in the group of cats who had arrived. She felt faint amusement at Mosquitopaw's stuttering. Training together. The words hit her like a bucket of icy water slamming her face, snapping her out of her distractedness. She'd... never thought about training with somebody else. Of course she knew that she had to train with her mentor, and knew that it was a possibility... But somehow that hadn't registered with her until now. She didn't know how to feel about that. "Yes, I guess so," she said, almost reluctantly. Then her brain registered the other words he'd spoken. She blinked. Good luck. That shocked her almost as much as realizing that training together was a thing. Why would Mosquitopaw say that? There was no point. Either she succeeded, or she didn't. You can't count for luck. You can only count how much knowledge you have, what you know about the situation. Hard facts. Luck was so vague. Though, she didn't want to hurt Mosquitopaw's feelings, which was a first. She usually didn't care... She didn't want to dwell on that right now. "Uh, thanks?" she said, then started over, trying to remove her doubtful tone. "I mean... Thanks. And... You too?" She looked at Mosquitopaw, almost like she was seeking reassurance that this was the right thing to say.
