[ generalised thread in case we ever need it again lol. this should be set in the past since the patrols happened 2 or 3 weeks ago but just wrapped up ]

it was not like rookfire had forgotten, his roleplayer just got hit by a huge load of being eepy sleepy and put it off for one too many days, so now that rookfire finally approached mistlewhisker, politely asked her for a more private conversation, (in the corner of the clearing, just outside camp, he didnt mind where so he gave mistlewhisker the option to decide,) he felt like he was a little late with his report. quietly clearing his throat the enforcer curled his striped tail around cool toned white tipped paws, "'s nothing urgent or anythin', just wanted to let you know that when i was at saltmeadow marsh i met both an outsider and dusklion. it appears riverclan is back to patrolling like before. otherwise nothing out of the ordinary on that regard, dusklion stayed where she was supposed to be and the outsider didnt put up much of a fight in leaving." a brief pause to give the deputy a opportunity to think more than a second about the words she just heard, before rook continued
"i was also at evergreen grotto where i found a kit, say three or so moons old, that didnt appear to hear or see very well, also didnt speak, i put up with it for a while but once i was sure they wouldnt survive in a clan, being deaf and blind, i put them into the outskirts. rookfire bit his tongue to avoid putting a 'i hope this was correct' or any other way of saying this same thing at the end of his explaination, yet knowing that most cats would see that as the very insecurity it was, he couldnt bring himself to do so.

Rookfire had been pulling his weight and then some, it seemed. He made up for the slacking exhibited by other Enforcers, and perhaps that was the only reason they hadn't been booted from the elites yet. Mistlewhisker had fully accepted Rookfire as an essential member of the Enforcers, any hesitation she felt about his presence dissipated in the light of his effort. So the Deputy dipped her head slightly in greeting as Rookfire approached her, a report on the tip of his tongue. She hummed as he finished, considering his words. RiverClan was indeed back, as the scents suggested. With the full moon a night away, she imagined they would be there as well. His second report earned a thoughtful narrowing of her eye. A deaf and blind kit? Her internal, guarded heart twinged at the thought of leaving a defenseless kit in the territory to die, but it wouldn't survive in ShadowClan, either. Rookfire's insecurity was reasonable, and the Deputy nodded to dispel it. "Thank you, Rookfire. I will report the kit to Dawnstar, but I do not think it will trouble us." She sent a small prayer to StarClan to wish a quick, easy death upon the young one if it had to happen. "Dismissed."
