"Good morning, baby." Lostspark murmured, settling in further as a quiet purr began to vibrate through her. Alright then, she supposed they weren't moving. Aiming to wrap her arms around her son and cuddle him to her chest, Lostspark dipped her head in an attempt to lap at his sleep-mussed fur into submission.
"No, nothing's the matter..." Lostspark peered at him, smiling hesitantly. "I just missed you. Got used to you being in my nest, I think." She murmured softly. "Now it feels empty." Another reason why she'd never moved into the warrior's den after moving out of the Medicine Den. She'd just established her perch - sleeping in the tree overlooking camp. She missed all her kits. Hadn't spent enough time with them, but she didn't know how to fix it anymore.
She'd tried with Sleepysunrise, but her eldest daughter had never returned to the Medicine Den even after Lostspark had spoken to her on that fateful day. Sorrelkit and Daykit were stolen. Howling had chosen the path she wished to walk on. Mirepaw was gone. Birdpaw... Lostspark needed to try harder with that one, and with Cinderpaw and Wispypaw. Maybe they still wanted her around. Moonpaw she was unsure where he'd gone. She feared Quillpaw and Quietpaw hated her completely, and the few times she had attempted to offer an olive branch had not brought fruition in the least. Her remaining kits were either missing or dead.
But to move on from depressing topics... "You've gotten taller."
Bleedingpaw
Shadowclan Apprentice | He/Him | 7 Moons
Just a Scratch | Shadow Fiend
Oh yes cuddles Bleedingpaw always loved cuddles. Still not fully awake and not one to be ashamed of affection anyways the tom took advantage of being curled around to snuggle into Lostsparks check, burrowing into her fur like he'd done when he was still a tiny helpless kitten, desperate for the first love he'd ever seen in his life.
He was older now, maturing quickly but really the golden bengal didnt feel any different to how he was at that time, purring happily as golden paws settled into the (still) larger molly, kneading lightly. Bleedingpaw was forever a professional mother baker after all!
"I missed you too Mama." He mumbled sleepily, words a little muddled through his purring. "I like being big and able to do apprentice stuff like my siblings but it is lonely here sometimes. Quietpaw doesnt snuggle like Sleepysunrise did and she doesnt snuggle like you. When I become a warrior one day we can share nests again though!" It was a light, dreamy thought and the pretty tom smiled into Lostsparks fur. "Or maybe you can sneak into the apprentices den when its cold. Ill always share my nest with you and youre so sneaky no one would be able to catch you!"
Bleedingpaw forever thought his mother hung the moon though so he firmly believed she could kill a mountain lion, fight off a clan, or sneak into an enemy camp without being caught so maybe his idea was a bit of a reach though.
The tom did wiggle a bit in place, flipping onto his back still in her paws to beam up at his mother, chirping an excited little "Yeah! Im getting suuuuuuper tall though Mr Pats teases me that my legs being so long makes me more wobbly. I say I just got more reach now and can bap him better, though I do hope something other then my legs grow soon, I feel like a deer sometimes. I wanna be big and strong like you instead because I know no way am I gonna be as big as Miss Tiger."
Alas, with Bleedingpaws bengal/oriental genetics he'd forever look like a cat stretched like laffy taffy. Sure he may bulk a bit later but in his awkward teenage years especially all he'd have was height and length.

Magpiepaw sat in the den with her head angled towards the entrance. She picked absently at her mossbed. (Open activity post! Would be longer, but I have to leave for school soon)

"Yes," she purred, gaze warm. Lostspark couldn't help but play along. "You can sneak me in here and nobody will notice at all." She chuckled, a smile tilting her maw upward as she made herself comfortable beside him, twisting to lay her forehead against the ground too, so they were both facing up. Her front limbs reached out to latch around him, to pull him closer to her chest.
"Or you can always sleep in my nest with me. It's... usually empty." Nobody for her to sleep with anymore. Her old nest was probably stale by now. Returning back to reality, the lithe grey Enforcer sighed softly. "You tell him, love." Mr. Pats? She didn't quite know - or maybe her roleplayer was just missing the memory as usual of Lostspark IC knowing Hawkbite's alternate moniker - who that was, but that was alright. "You know, Bleedingpaw? You don't need to be big or strong. You'll be perfect however you turn out, alright? I couldn't be a prouder mother. I love you, I'm so proud of you."
[ Weeee are only a couple posts in but we can end this here :sweats: and just say they spent the day in? ]
Large ears twirled towards the other apprentice, her eyes narrowing. Right, the once finned fish was flabbing their thin mouth at her in an attempt at conversation, eh? Magpiepaw merely blinked at the apprentice, her lips curling downwards in a sneer. Bleh, oh well, she was apart of Shadowclan now whether she liked it or not (and she DEFINITELY didn't like it). What was up with Riverclan and dragging their flanks to HER HOME!? She could stand outsiders but Riverclan was basically a band or rouges, barely a clan. At least Pondpaw managed to save her fur, the stars certainly wouldn't be able to spare her.
"Yeah, that's my name, don't wear it out," Magpiepaw flashed a toothy smile at her fellow apprentice, her tone tired and laced with malice. How long had the former fish even been here? At least a moon, right? It didn't matter, Magpiepaw didn't care. "Whatcha need? Unless you just wanted to spout out a TOTALLY mediocre greeting."

Pondpaw frowned at the sneer on Magpiepaw's face and the malice in her voice.
Okay, rude fluffball, She thought irritably. She'd need to report this to Mistlewhisker - or even Dawnstar, at that. "Oh, I'm sorry that I'm living up to Dawnstar's standards and not yours," Pondpaw need harsly, blue eyes ice cold as she glared daggers at Magpiepaw. " I was trying to be nice, but I guess I'll need to dumb it down to your language - sparrow-brain. Have you seen Hawkbite anywhere? He's supposed to be taking me out for extra training, and not you. "

"
Fluffball? Ha! That was a new one, but lacked creativity. Magpiepaw straightened herself up in her mossbed as she watched a frown flicker across Pondpaw's features, dark shadows dancing across her once joyful face. Something that Magpiepaw didn't take note of. She wasn't great at reading expressions or tones, infact she was HORRIBLE. For all she knew, Pondpaw's demeanor didn't change from when she first addressed her to now.
Caramel eyes looked the she-cat up and down. Then Pondpaw spoke. And oh oh the absolute SLOP she spoke of. Magpiepaw pulled back her lips in a sharp snarl, her brow furrowing. Gosh, it looked like she had another Quietpaw on her hands. Her first comment came out of NOWHERE. Magpiepaw barely knew this idiot and anycat could live up to Dawnstar's standards as they basically aligned with the common morals of loyalty and not being completely stupid. A kit could follow those rules, so Magpiepaw let out a soft scoff.
Nice? Nothing about this interaction seemed nice. Magpiepaw honestly felt as though her greeting was just how every Shadowclan cat talked to one another with some oddly hidden gruff hatred, so she molded her voice that way. Plus, Pondpaw came from Riverclan the absolute WORST of the four clans, so she believed Pondpaw deserved the malice. Could this simply be the case of Pondpaw matching her energy? Perhaps, but Magpiepaw refused to acknowledge that.
Regardless of how Magpiepaw felt or her lack of grace when it came to socializing, those last few words cut through her like an iron claw. Magpiepaw flicked her round ears before they pinned back, trying to disguise her hurt. "I'll have you know that extra training doesn't make you special," Magpiepaw sneered, an edge lacing her tone. "And why would you ask me where Hawkbite is? I thought I was a sparrow brain, you might as well be talking to herbs cuz I'm too UNBELIEVABLY STUPID apparently. Plus, If he really cared, would he be that hard to find?"
Yeah, she had a feeling she wasn't the only cat with squids for brains.
Still, Magpiepaw pushed her small body from her bed and stifled a yawn. If she ended fighting this crazy she need to be ready. Plus, she was always open for a scavenger hunt. She flicked her gaze to the apprentice and smiled maliciously. "I'll help you if you stay outta my fur for the rest of the evening." Whether she took the offer or not Magpiepaw honestly didn't care. She needed time to think about Gracklepaw's welcome home gift anyways.

Fine then, as previously stated she really didn't care. The small cat slunk back into her mossbed and lowered her head to rest on her paws. She stared up at Pondpaw, wondering why the heck she hadn't moved yet. It had already been established that she didn't want The Great Magpiepaw's ™ help, so the smaller apprentice would just move on with her day, no big deal. She had plenty other fish to fry, plenty. Her caramel eyes strained to see in the clearing as she picked meat from her teeth, her tail swishing in irritation.
If Gracklpaw came back, no, when, she'd have to kill him first. Then she'd revive him to ask tons of questions and then shower him in gifts. In truth, she was worried, worried sick. He'd been gone for at least two moons now and she missed his gullible antics. It... Pained her. Why in the world things turned out this way was something she'd understand soon enough. But when he came back she'd show him just how great Shadowclan is so that he wouldn't dare run off again.
If he came back...
