Cardinalsong watched and listened idly to the chatter of the nursery, keeping somewhat of an eye on his own two girls. He did his best not to worry too much about his only son, their littermate. His lovely Petrelstorm had taken Grousekit to the medicine den — he had the sniffles, and she was worried about it being whitecough.

He sighed to himself. For that he knew Petrel could be a bit unnecessarily cautious, the kittens had only been born a moon before, Grouse being the smallest of the three. He couldn't help but worry.

A whining mew pulled him from his own mind. There was little Robinkit at his feet, peering up at him. "Daddy," she wheedled, "When's Grousey coming back? Kite's not being any fun!"

Cardinalsong found himself amused in spite of his worries, and that wave of gratefulness that was becoming so common these days rolled over him. He grinned down at his daughter. "Your mother brought Grousekit to the medicine den for a reason — he's too sick to be any fun himself."

Robinkit gave a long and dramatic groan, then fell to the floor limply. She lay there making the most heartwrenchingly miserable face at him — it might be more effective if she weren't so wonderfully adorable. "What am I supposed to do then?!" she demanded. "I'm SOOOOOOOOO boredddd."

Cardinalsong glanced around for Kitekit, who seemed completely unaware of her sister's distress, occupied as she seemed to be with a pile of little trinkets. We ought to have named her Magpiekit, the way she collects those things, he thought to himself wryly. He turned back to his problem child. He bent over to say in a conspiratorial whisper, "She seems pretty proud of her collection. Imagine how annoyed you'd get her if you found something way cooler."

With an excited gasp, Robinkit leaped to her feet. "I bet I'll find something WAY WAY COOLERER than Kite will EVER see in her WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!" she announced to the entire den. She then bounded clumsily off, fur puffed up with the excitement of showing up her sister.

Cardinalsong laughed heartily at her antics. He doubted Kitekit would give a rat's tail how cool of a treasure Robinkit found, but it would keep her occupied... for now.

Weepingwillow watched fondly at the father daughter interaction, it was sweet. The Forever Queen noticed Robinkit complaining about Kitekit, deciding to jot down names and interactions in her head. She figured this father'd gotten it under control. Kitekit she shouldn't have to worry about....Robinkit... maybe. Weepingwillow gave a gentle. "No no no" As Robinkit's noise woke up Emberkit, making the small black furred Tom look up, eyes gleaming with confusion and slowly waking and looking at Robinkit.

"Wow." Twelve siblings seemed like a lot. Being born as a kittypet, the brown she-cat was separated from her mother and siblings when she was quite young. She didn't really have a concept of what having siblings was like, but it sounded like fun!

"Oh, me? Leader?" Weevilkit looked panicked for a moment. What did leaders even do? In her short time in ThunderClan, she hadn't seen too much. To her, a leader mostly just had a strong, commanding energy and always seemed to be busy talking to some cat. But she didn't wanna ruin this kit's game by refusing to play the role she had just been assigned. "Uh, okay. I'm the leader!" She puffed out her fluffy chest as if to emphasize how in-charge she was. "Deputy Butterflykit! Um, we need to... make sure all our warriors are strong!" Yeesh. Weevilkit really wasn't used to stuff like this. "Strong enough to fight, uhh... the bad cats!"

She tried to whisper, "Sorry sorry sorry!" to the queen, then said to the kit: "Shhhhh, you can go back to sleep I didn't mean to be loud, sorry—" Unfortunately for anyone that had lived in the nursery for the past moon, however, Robinkit had trouble with volume regulation, and the whisper came out more like a hiss.

Weepingwillow mewed, "Just in the future, be care of your tone ok? Remind yourself there's other kits in the nursery and such, and sleeping cats don't like to be woken or startled, so be mindful alright little one?" Weepingwillow purred, watching Emberkit stretch his long black limbs as his navy blue eyes scanned Robinkit, Emberkit was shy but loved to play, so he mustered his courage and mewed, "Do you..... wanna play?"

Butterflykit got even more excited when Weevilkit got fully into her role in the game.

"Okay! We'll fight the bad cats from EvilClan!" She decided that was where the bad cats were from "They'll face the epicness of ThunderClan!"
She glanced around.
They need warriors for the game!
Butterflykit seemed to be thinking, working her tomy brain at the max.

"Yes, I'm hunting for treasures!" she informed the other kit. "You should help me — it needs to be SUPER SUPER cool so Kiteykit can never find one better, okay?" She turned to continue her search, making sure the other kit would follow. "Oh, I'm Robinkit. What's your name?"

Cardinalsong had been watching consideringly, but as the situation smoothed itself over, he decided intervention wasn't necessary. Nevertheless, he made his way over to the queen — Weepingwillow, he thought — just to make sure Robinkit really hadn't been a bother. "I hope she isn't too much of a nuisance for you two," he said conversationally. "She's so full of energy already, and she's only got the nursery to run around in." A warm smile crept up on his face as he watched his little ones playing. Kitekit was still oblivious to the whole kerfuffle, carefully organizing her little stones and feathers in her own corner.

Weepingwillow purred to the kit, tunring to whom had approached her with a gentle blink. "She's a wonderful kit." Weepingwillow reassured him. Her eyes watching them in a careful, motherly way. "Who's Robinkit's mother?" Weepingwillow asked. "Kits will be kits, energy is there middle name and sleep is there last." Weepingwillow purred. Watching as Emberkit cautiously looked at Robinkit, looking back to Weepingwillow who nodded her permission to go. "I'm Emberkit" He mewed.

Weepingwillow padded in to the nursery, her tail flicking as she beckoned Softdaisy to her, "Softdaisy.... Bumblestar has let me try out being a Forever queen. I was wondering.... for the first few days, until I get the hang of it..... or maybe forever if you wish. You could help me watch the kits? I just need to learn there antics, and with this huge litter here it's a bit difficult." Weepingwillow murmured. "I was planning on watching groups of siblings in turn for the first few days, learning what they like to do, where they go ectra to learn where they might run off to..... Bumblestar trusts me.... and I hope I can trust you to." Weepingwillow meowed earnstly, her eyes glittering in hope and trust for the fellow she-cat

The kit managed to weasel away from the sibling pile He was buried beneath. With all the fur he had, he'd turned out to be the go to cuddle pile base. Fur fluffing up as she saw someone she barely recognized talking with his caretaker. Not mama. She was not his mama. He had no mama mama died and he had a papa. A grumpy papa. He wanted to trade.

Nose wrinkling Beetlekit sauntered as much as a kit could saunter, up towards the new potential forever queen, tail lashing behind him. "I don't like you." he said bluntly to the molly he'd never interacted with before.
