Hawkthorn felt the heat rise to his cheeks. "Well of course she is! I wasn't saying that!" He hissed and narrowed his eyes. "I was saying how your momma says that she is the prettiest cat." He meowed and grinned. "Need your ears cleaned or something?" Hawkthorn teased.
His eyes glinted. "And, Flowernose is pregnant again." He whispered.

She's... what?
Now that fact struck Antpaw like a monster on the Thunderpath. His mom. Pregnant. With kits? He was going to be an older brother?
"How many?" He whispers, then pauses, "Do we even know? Are you sure?"

Maggotpaw lights up like sunlight when Antpaw appears to oblige, nodding quickly as if to agree with the compliments that it had been demanding to hear in the first place, only...only then the grouchy acornbrain goes and ruins it by being rude again. Maggotpaw gasps, slips a strangled laugh out, feigns a look of horror to compensate, and is getting ready to dig this hole that much deeper—but an older cat intervenes and apologizes on Antpaw's behalf, which then prompts the younger cat to apologize, too.
Maggotpaw goes silent, staring at Hawkthorn like some dead-eyed shark in the water. "It's okay. I was making—Antpaw—feel better. We're friends now," it lies because it can; story of Maggotpaw's life. It'd keep the fib rolling but the two are heading off, now, finding some other place to sit. Maggotpaw doesn't follow this time. The game only works when it's another apprentice; warriors are no fun. So, they leave the pair alone and go back to sitting up straight and looking all polite and darling (one hell of a feat, seeing as Maggotpaw's always been a tad unfortunate looking, overall).
All it has to do now is just stay very still, pay good attention to the important cats when they start to talk, and wait very very patiently, but that...well, who knows if that's really going to happen.

WOW. Riverclan cats were a lot. She couldn't help but wonder if every day was this chaotic in their camp. That was probably a question she should keep to herself. She expression changed as she listened to Salamanderpaw talk. What a fox heart! You can't just call cat's heads dented when you first meet them! It wasn't nice! She flattened her ears and stuck her tongue out at Salamanderpaw. "My head's not dented! I've never even climbed up a tree before I was just giving out relevant information. There's no need to be such a meanie Mcgrumpygrouch! Plus Mistyheart would never drop me! She's the smartest bestest mentor ever! Sorry if your Riverclan mentors aren't the same." She huffed. She wasn't yelling, but her voice was doused with a healthy amount of annoyance. Were all Riverclanners this rude? What got stuck under her paws? In fact now that she was closer to them, they all seemed on edge. One of them even jumped when their friend came to say hi. Were they ok? Why are they looking at me like I'm about to bite their heads off? Am I not being friendly enough?
Poor Rainpaw looked so lost. She couldn't blame her! The poor molly just walked into a crazy situation! Shellpaw didn't seem to know what to do with himself either. She couldn't help but feel bad for them. She gave them a bright smile. "It's nice to meet you! I'm Slugpaw!" She turned away for Salamanderpaw and towards Rainpaw and Shellpaw. She had so many questions! She didn't want to give up now! "Do all Riverclanners have cool water names? Thunderclan doesn't have insect names, that's just me! Which name's your favorite? Oh Oh! If you could choose your warrior name what would it be?" Her squeaky voice, got a little squeaker with her excitement. She wouldn't let Riverclan's jabs get the best of her good time!
Heroneye blinked at Softpaw, being snapped back to reality by her apprentice's voice. She silently followed the other cat's gaze, and she was hit with a pang of sympathy as she recalled Willowtail's past. To be honest, she wasn't entirely sure how she could answer Softpaw's question without sounding like she was dismissing her cousin's feelings. It was only natural to be angry, to be sad, to want revenge, but one just couldn't. In order to coexist with the other Clans, one would have to put all those emotions aside, difficult as it may be.
"I don't know," Heroneye replied quietly, "but we'll all have to do our best to keep the peace. None of us are particularly happy with the other Clans right now, but we can't be having another war now, right?" She didn't really have any concerns with Softpaw causing trouble; this was just as much of a reminder to herself as to the apprentice. It really was so difficult to pretend like nothing had ever happened, but she'd do it a hundred times over if it meant staying in her birthplace. In any case, she'd have to keep a close eye on Willowtail to make sure she didn't do anything she'd regret.
Heroneye's head tilted upwards as she noticed the other Clans trickling in. Time to actually interact with another Clan, preferably without causing a massive, forest-wide war.
"Why don't you try talking to one of them?" Heroneye prompted gently, flicking a tail tip at the other groups. She wanted the apprentice to get used to handling herself during a Gathering, including having positive (or neutral, at the very least) interactions with them.
"Oh, and remember what Fadingstar said," she added in a low voice. She didn't expect Softpaw to go around sharing Clan secrets or anything, but she really didn't want her winding up executed. So she gave a small reminder, just in case.
Now that fact struck Antpaw like a truck. His mom. Pregnant. With kits? He was going to be an older brother?
"How many?" He whispers, then pauses, "Do we even know? Are you sure?"
Hawkthorn shook his head. "She went to the medicine den earlier for her stomachaches and Wolfhive told her she was pregnant." He explained and frowned. "They didn't tell her how many." He meowed.
Hawkthorn sighed. "I should've noticed the scent. I guess I just got too used to it." He muttered.

Her first gathering! How exciting! Despite an innate sense to feel sorta betrayed by the other clans, she didn't want that to ruin her night. None of the other clans had seemed to arrived, and really, many of the Riverclan cats weren't too happy with the other clans.
Cricket'Paw gazed at the surrounding area, it was open enough to where the clans could easily fit in. Not much else stood out to the energetic apprentice.
"I guess I'll just sit over here." Her mumble was halfhearted, and she shifted her dainty paws to move to an open spot, not crowded by Riverclan cats. It wasn't that she didn't want to be around them, it was the fact she had been anticipating some sort of excitement.
The journey wasn't something she remembered all that great, so it wouldn't be hard to stay quiet about it, or the other stuff either. Well, Cricket'Paw was known to be a chatterbox, so some stuff might be difficult, but she'd be fine... Right?

First he had been nervous coming along to this Gathering, then it just so happened that his sister disappeared to who knows where like the extrovert she was, to talk to all the other clan cats. She was a whirlwind of energy, his sister, and Bouncepaw had no idea how she was making friends so easily; but that was just how she was, unlike Bouncepaw. He was left alone. In this gigantic crowd of fur and tails, not knowing where to sit or where to go.
"I'm so tired already," Bouncepaw mumbles, cautiously walking around, trying not to accidently step on anyone and cause a fight. Some of the warriors looked really big and scary, as if they could swallow him up in one bite if he disturbed them. Bouncepaw gulps.
He soon finds a decent spot that not's too crowded. No big, scary cats nearby, either, or at least from what he could see. Some Riverclan cats were mixed in, but it was better than being absolutely surrounded by cats. The smell was... unique, but he could ignore it.
"Hello?" He meows hesitantly to an apprentice he sees nearby. Riverclan? He didn't recognize them. "Is it okay if I sit here? I'm Bouncepaw."

Softpaw blinked at Willowtail, Willowtail was just ahead, shuffling her paws. "I guess so....... I just feel bad I know about everything.... I was there. But I couldn't do anything." Softpaw murmured, as her mentor mentioned talking to another cat her eyes widened. "U-uh. I don't think I'm cut out for that......" Softpaw murmured her eyes rounded. She looked around to see if Sweetsap was there, dang it. Back at "camp" with Seakit. Softpaw shifted her paws, her white pelt sticking out, though she was a bit calm being beside her mentor.
Softpaw watched as Willowtail glared at Windclan, "That Tom, right there." Softpaw whispered to her mentor, flicking her tail to a large, grey and brown tom, his markings matching Willowtail's though his eyes were amber as Willowtail's were blue. "That's Watertail, Willowtail's father... and killing of Summerbird s mother. Soo..... that trio's got lots of problems." Softpaw mewed quietly, her eyes observing. She could see Watertail glancing at Willowtail. Softpaw watched as Willowtail go up, going farther away from Windclan and settling beside her mate Nightshadepelt.

Treetiger moved silently with her clanmates, following closely behind Spiderthroat to the Gathering. Her pawsteps were never far behind the deputy when given the chance. Her eyes would scan the area, only to meet the lingering figures and gazes of RiverClan. [ @Starfall - Spider mention so you know his shadow is still lurking ahah ]
Well, well, well... look who showed up... I know...
The young warrior would have the typical mental conversation with her shadowy friend. The figure lingering on her back like a tick that wouldn't let go, no matter how much life force it sucked from her. Treetiger would break away from the deputy as he took his position with the other deputies, though she wouldn't go far. She sat towards the edge of the crowd, able to overhear anything that seemed important. Her whiskers merely twitching when she'd overhear Dusklion and Spiderthroat's comments. Funny.
Can't let them know...
Treetiger wouldn't dare look at the two, her gaze sweeping the area around her: cautious, calculating. Her ears would twitch to eavesdrop, but it was easily drowned out by the chattering of others. She didn't want bothered, but there wasn't any avoiding that in a large group of cats, huh.

Ghostflicker - dark grey tabby with vitiligo on their left ear, nose bridge and underbelly, has a mangled tail and right ear.
The phantom (this is a nickname, they're not actually dead) was silently watching the gathering unfold, zoning out a few times, when a ThunderClan warrior was staring at them. Whoever that were, they seemed troubled with something. "Hey, there." Their creaky voice was similar to a crow's, but it was clear whom Ghostflicker was referring to. "Is something the matter?" Their voice feigned concern, however false concern or not, Ghostflicker was hoping that the brown cat would at least cheer up a little. Whatever animosity had been occurring between ThunderClan and Ghostflicker's own clan of RiverClan, Ghostflicker honestly couldn't care less, as it was the same old list of problems. They couldn't even remember. The leader's beef wasn't theirs.

Aspnepaw felt as if claws had just plunged through his skin and impaled his lungs. The scent that flooded into nose was one he hadn't smelled so strongly since-- his ears pinned back against his head and his claws usnk into the ground beneath his paws. Thunderclap was here. Sure he knew he'd see the other clans but maybe he wasn't as mentally prepared as he thought he'd been. Calm down Aspen, they can't do crap here. It's a gathering, peace.
He thought his anger would be the only thing to worry about, and stars above was he angry! But maybe he had over looked what else he would feel like fear. He was petrified. He didn't like it at all, forget talking to other apprentices he was going to find Floodsight and camp out this whole gathering with his mentor instead. Rising to his paws, he retreated from the spot he had originally chosen to sit. He hadn't gotten quite far before he had stopped in his tracks. What was he doing? Wasn't this the equivalent to fleeing during the raid. It basically was. He was being a coward! For what!? Squirrels! They aren't even that scary. As if trying to prove this to himself he approached the closest thunderclan cat near his age, just to talk and not to fight. He would have to remind himself that slot wouldn't he.
"heya squirrel, aren't you too young to be out of your nest alone? Wheres your parent, bet some queen gonna be real angry to find out you aren't in the nursery where you belong. That or your just incredibly short but that wouldn't surprise me. Most thunderclan's are just that dissapointing" He greeted as he approached the assumed apprentice who looked too young to be 6 moons old. Did thunderclan make kits apprentices? No but seriously, why were they bringing kits to gatherings.
His nice, quiet and peaceful gathering just had to be rudely interrupted and turned into a yap-fest, didn't it? One of the gross smelling cats walked right over to him, and Hollowpaw made no effort to hide his retching at the stench. Seriously, those cats lived in water, did they not know how to bathe properly? And then the apprentice opened his mouth and oh great StarClan, shut up.
"I'll have you know I'm a warrior apprentice, fish breath - not that I have to justify myself to the likes of you. Say, how was exile? Did you have a nice and cushy time away from where there are real problems?" He taunts, long tail bouncing up and down behind him. "It's too bad you came back, wouldn't want to be chased out again now would we?"
Fleetsmoke nodded her agreement, blue eyes flickering with grief. She had been born in leaf-bare, and her youngest littermate had froze to death. ´´Leaf-bare will be tough, I´m sure. It´ll make the Clans dangerous. Hungry Clans make angry Clans, you know.´´ She mewed, sympathizing with the RiverClan warrior. ´´And angry Clans make dangerous Clans.´´
