Ashkit looked at Whislekit, then at Freezekit, then back at Whislekit, then Freezekit again.Well that’s… wierd, thought Ashkit. Who can forget someone like that? Surely Whislekit will talk to Freezekit afterwards, right? Or maybe not…
The kit to one step towards the now left alone Freezekit. “Uh… Wierd. Anyways,” At that word he sat down. “I think Whislekit acted like that at your words because she isn’t used to being treated… let’s say normally. And her way to stop being treated like that is… to completely ignore the one that can be insulting — to her point of view, not mine — and then talk to someone who treats her specially. That’s my guess.” As Ashkit was older, he thought he ought to make things clear for both sides. It could help with stopping them from being enemies.

Ashkit turned around towards the kit who spoke. “Huh? Oh um…” Ashkit looked briefly at Freezekit and Whislekit that was standing a small distance away talking with a Warrior. What would he answer to this pretty nosy kit? “Nothing much,” he answered with a smile. “I was talking about Whislekit over there, as he was a bit angry.” Ashkit had lowered his voice when saying that. Whislekit would look perfectly fine from Lavenderkit’s eyes, even happy, but she was definitely angry a minute ago. “But please don’t tell her I said that” he added quickly. He didn’t want any trouble.
Heathernose tentatively padded into the nursery. She never would've expected to be here so soon, but here she was. The usually wiry she-cat was filling out, she was starting to show her pregnancy. And her apprentice had been reassigned. Heathernose couldn't help heaving a sigh, moving into the nursery in some ways felt like she was giving up a part of herself. But you're having kits with the tom you love. She tried to remind herself. Heathernose was a notorious over-thinker though, and she just couldn't shake it.
The new queen glanced around, trying to find a clear space to set up her nest. In her mouth, she gingerly carried the feather Lionscar had given her earlier. Hoping to keep it with her in her new nest. She was starting to feel overwhelmed, unsure of where her place was and even where to put her paws. Feeling helpless, like a newly made apprentice, she looked around. Hoping to catch the eye of one of the other queens for help.

Fallenkit's tail twitched, and she toppled out of her nest. She opened her eyes, startled. Shakily, she glanced around the room, meeting the gaze of Heathernose.

Freezekit didn't get a response. He could smell Whistlekit retreating, and he could hear her now talking excitedly to a queen nearby. What? That just made him angrier. As if he didn't even exist! He looked at Ashkit, who had begun talking. "So she's a spoiled brat," he summarized, with more sharpness than he had intended. He turned his head at the approach of another kit. He was not in the mood to chat. "Nothing," he snapped, at the same time as when Ash started talking. He fell silent, listening to the rest of Ashkit's words. "Angry?" he said. "She wasn't angry. She was-" he stopped himself. Did he have to explain himself? No. No, he didn't. He fell silent, glaring at the ground.

Heathernose blinked down at the kit, her gaze softening. She bent her neck to set her feather down so she could speak to the kit properly. "Well, hello there." She purred. "My name is Heathernose. I'm moving into this den today." She added in a gentle tone. "What's your name?"

“She was” Ashkit stated. “But go on, what were you going to say?” Ashkit didn’t say this in a provocative tone, he was simply curious of Freezekit’s point of view.
