Newtbelly often looks down on younger cats (especially those how disrespect authority), however I don't think there'd be any friction between them considering Silentpaw is pretty quiet and serious (but friction might be fun if there wassss a way for them to have some).
Newtbelly is also pretty quiet, often anxious and trying to look good in front of his superiors. Newtbelly's main skills include stealth and tactic based fighting. He has more of a thought out approach to battle than brute force, due to his stature lending itself to that.

Darkleaf

Darkleaf is super sweet and would spend a lot of time trying very hard to get Silentpaw out of his shell. If you want him to develop into a less quiet cat this might work, but if you want him to stay super quiet maybe not lol. She cares a lot about chores and patrolling, but she doesn't take herself too seriously.
Her skills are pretty average, but she struggles with fighting - she's fine teaching a cat how to fight, putting it into practice is her problem.

I may have a slight preference towards Newtbelly as apparently he also mentors Stempaw? And I was planning a sort of enemies to friends type of thing with Stempaw and Silentpaw :]

I can toss in Wispypaw as a strong enemy, their bio is in my sig. They're the kind of cat to instantly say something snarky to someone at first meeting and not regret it. They'd also grow irritated when they learn that Silentpaw doesn't like to do clan duties. @Starphobia
