Burnetpaw is tired of not knowing a thing.
So, she's gonna learn something today.
She's just gotta look for a warrior.
Hunting should be a good start.

Hmmm...
That one works.

Burnetpaw made her way over to the russet colored cat "You! Fluff-cat!" She says boldly "You should teach me to hunt!"
She says it like it's an order and a request at the same time.
She knows bot to boss around warriors, her tone of voice is just naturally aggressive.

squirrelrise has just barely woken up from a rare nap, sitting wearily outside of the warrior's den when all of a sudden a very spiky apprentice – burnetpaw – pads up. she's had her fair share of nicknames but she never expected to be called fluff-cat. and she's demanding to be taught how to hunt ..er,maybe asking? it's a little hard to tell, she thinks with a small frown, ear twitching.

"s-sure, burnetpaw..come on," the warrior agrees, taking a brief second to stretch her limbs before heading off towards the exit of the camp. she's taught pigeonpaw how to hunt, and that was pretty easy, so she's hoping this time is the same.

after a bit of walking, she stops in a small clearing, the shrubbery around the edges providing enough cover for any nearby prey. "..first.." squirrelrise starts, turning to face burnetpaw. "s-show me..your hunter's..crouch. I'll..c-correct any..mistakes."

Fluff-cat agreed!

Burnetpaw followed her quickly, though trying mot to get to close as to be annoying.

They soon stopped.
Burnetpaw analyzed the place they were at for a moment, before Fluff-cat spoke again.

Hunter's crouch?
Easy!

The chimera crouched, trying to do what she assumed was the hunter's crouch.
It was definitely off. Her tail was high, her paws were off, and she had done it a bit awkwardly due to the leg she was born without.

inspecting burnetpaw's hunters crouch, she steps closer to gently adjust the apprentice's stance if the younger molly allows her. "try to..keep you tail..low to the..ground. belly, too. n-not...too low, though.." she explains, taking a step back. she hopes it isn't too hard for burnetpaw to balance, seeing as the molly only has one hind leg. she frowns. maybe she'll have to adjust the lesson slightly if there proves to be difficulties.

"and..remember to make s-sure...that your s-stance isn't..too narrow. it'll be..easier for you to..fall." she informs before giving an approving nod. looking around the clearing, she spots a pinecone and pads over, picking it up and bringing it back to where the apprentice was. she places it a tail length or so away, then backs up away from it. she'll use it in a moment after she explains a bit more. she's glad mistlewhisker used a pinecone during her training, now she knows just how useful they are for demonstrations.

"when it..comes to h-hunting..s-stealth is what you want..to focus on. as long as..you can s-sneak up on your..prey..you won't have to..run as - as much." she pauses, russet ears swiveling to hear any concerning noises - better to be safe than sorry. "keep..your p-pawsteps..light. you don't..have to rush but..you don't want..to go..too s-slow either. how about..you try..?" surprisingly, this is less stressful than the first time she taught somebody. she supposes it's because it's something simple like hunting which is generally stress-free anyway.

Fluff-cat was correcting her a bit, which is fine. She lowered her tail some and widened her stance a little.

Burnetpaw listened to the next instructions.
Sneak up on a pine cone? Well, pretend it's prey, but whatever.
And that wasn't even exactly what Fluff-cat said, but it seemed to be the basis of it.

She could do that.
Paw steps light. Easy enough, right?

Burnetpaw began to move slowly toward the pine cone, trying to make her steps as light as possible.

She was a little wobbly, but she managed, successfully getting close.

Was she supposed to poince on the pine cone or were they waiting to do that or...
