The calico warrior hummed in thought for a moment "mm, fair. It's been pretty quiet in Shadowclan as of late" She said plainly in response to Salmon's first sentence.

Her ears perked up at the follow-up question "hm-" She paused for a moment in thought "Nothing I can think of has been going on- My apprentice has been skipping his training sessions again. I feel like it's because of that Wormpaw and his little circle of trouble makers" She grumbled, motioning her paw in a distasteful circular motion. That group of cats was definitely up to no good.

She sighed, glancing back towards her half-sister. Cherrywood nodded in response "mhm" Cherrywood said, in a rather flat tone "I haven't seen this much prey ANYWHERE in moons- It's nice to see though- with all the new mouths to feed. It feels like every moon there's a whole new wave of squealing mouths to feed"

A scowl crossed her face at the thought of the bratty Shadowclan kits, but she quickly tried to cover it. The last remark caught the she-cat off guard. She'd always been an independent cat. A pang of guilt stabbed into her side as she realized they hadn't talked much because of herself.

The Shadowclan warrior let out a heavy sigh "yeah- I'd like that" She said, a small smile gracing her features, though disappearing as quickly as it appeared. She swallowed looking on at her younger sister.

The next words she spoke surprised her more than anyone else likely "I'm uh- I'm sorry about how I've treated you in the past" She said glancing down at her paws, he usual better than you attitude gone, at least for the mean time.

Oh. That's new. A apology from her sister? Cherrywood was the one cat she least expected an apology from. "Hey. It's okay. I know it was hard for you when I came into your life. I really don't blame you. I was always rude too." She shifted her paws awkwardly. " I'm just happy our relationship is better now." That last line. Salmonshade always wanted her relationship with her sister to be better. It was finally happening. @seeingstars

Cherrywood snorted as she quirked a brow "Rude? As if I'd have let a kit bully me as an apprentice" she joked playfully, her tail waving behind her as she graced her sister with a genuine smile.

"I appreciate your forgiveness, and yeah I'm glad too..." She trailed off glancing down "Admittedly, you're the only family I have left really- after my mother left Shadowclan that was kind of it... I didn't have anyone who I felt I could trust"

She sighed softly, glancing back towards Salmonshade, she was glad she worked past her dislike of her younger sister. She glanced down "Are you and Dad close at all? is he even around anymore? I haven't seen him personally in moons... though I'm sure we've been avoiding each other... especially after our last words" She frowned. She was so angry at him when she was first made a warrior. She'd said some rather terrible things to him before telling him to never talk to her again.

Salmonshade grinned. "Well, I've been avoiding him too. Life seems better off without him." The Molly said. "After I noticed that you are keeping a distance from her, I felt like I should too." Her tail swished as she looked at the ground. "It's been nice not seeing him. My life feels more free." @seeingstars (I am so sorry for this late reply!!!
