Take Two [lichenpaw assessment]

The dust blinded Lichenpaw, and she squinted her eyes, trying to see theough it. Unfirtunately, this did not work well in her favor and Crowtooths attack landed, knocking the molly over. She trued to push against him, nut the discrepancy between the two cats’ sizes proved not to work in her favor.

Oh thank starclan he had her downed, here was a natural stopping point before the tom humiliated himself having to call this a tie on the spar so it didnt drag on. It wouldnt be too bad honestly, Lichenpaw more then deserved the tie due to her excellent work today but Crowtooth was more then four times her age and the deputy to boot. More then anything this was a sign he needed to practice more.


Stepping back from Lichenpaw with a raised paw to signify a halt as he tried to catch his breath through wheezes Crowtooth grinned wide, more then happy with how this turned out.



"Alright if we keep this goin' we'll be at it until sunset. Ya passed ya more then passed Lichenpaw, good work. Yer fightin' is top notch, cats usually cave quickly against me though I'd advise ya work on endurance a smidge just in case (I personally need ta get better wit' agile opponents it seems).


Congratulations, ya should be a warrior by the next meetin'."
Honestly Crowtooth was really proud of her in this moment, even if he hadnt been her mentor for long. Lichenpaw had withstood a lot more then a lot of cats and was still a genuinely good cat after all of it. Wolffang would be proud.

Crowtooth backed up and held out his paw to signify the battle's end. Despite the fact that she was panting quite a bit, Lichenpaw couldn't help but feel disappointed not to continue the spar. It was honestly a lot of fun. But, in spite of her swift agility, Lichenpaw was not able to best the deputy, her mentor, one of the cats in WindClan she looked up to most. Next time, though, next time for sure she'd beat him.

She's still rearing to go so much that she almost misses when he passes her. And then she just blinks at him, smile slowly spreading across her face as she realizes... she passed. Finally. It should've happened a long, long time ago, but she would finally be a warrior! She'd finally be something WindClan could depend on and be proud of. She might become a mentor, she might become more... there was so much ahead of her..! Endourance could be worked on, it could be built upon, but that would be something she would work through with her warrior name.

"Thank you!" She blurts, and if there's relieved tears in her eyes, well, she won't point them out. Instead, she steps forward and attempts to press her nose to the deputy's shoulder in joy and gratitude if he'd let her, purring up a storm. "Thank you for everything..." she's speaking as much to Sleethoud, to Wolffang, as she is Crowtooth... they'd all done their parts to get her here today. She'll never be able to thank them enough.

To be frank the tom wasnt sure he did a lot to help Lichenpaw get to this point to be thanked for it but he wasnt going to argue that point and instead just returned the contact to the top of her head, his own broken purr joining the chorus.

"Aint no thanks needed Lichenpaw. Im sure ya couldve passed this sooner but I know yer gonna be ever better doin' it when ya feel its right.



Ya earned this an' Im betting Twis got a great name in store fer ya next meetin'. Fer now lets go fetch yer prey so we can get back an' ya can tell everyone how ya hided me here."
Because even if Crowtooth had his pride Lichenpaw had earned some bragging rights for the well aimed blows she'd landed on the deputy.
