“Spider’Paw! Get over here!” the warrior called too her apprentice. She decided it was a good time to go out and do some training. Maybe a relaxing walk and such. It was later in the evening, but still light out. Bristle’Thorn considered it safe to go.

“Ya gonna learn swimmin’. First,t were goin on a walk though.” she instructed him, leading the way out and simply assuming the apprentice was following. The mood changed the second she stepped out of camp. She took a few deep breaths, absorbing in all the scents and sounds around her. The nature was gorgeous. She considered scratching the idea of swimming, but I was important for Spider’Paw to know. She could still enjoy the little nature walk however, and wander around without being questioned. She flicked her gaze around, looking at the overgrown forest with a grin on her face. She walked quite a while, and would continue before finding a place to train.

He followed behind his mentor, curiously noticing her relaxation. It was nice. He was nervous when they finally reached a more marshy-swamp area with murky water. And he had to learn how to swim in that? What if he drowned? Oh no…

“Okay kiddo, so when ya swim, try and keep your head above water…actually that’s your main goal. It’s kinda like walkin’ but without the ground. Try and evenly distribute your wait and push in even mostions with your legs to stay afloat! Don’t panic, that’ll make it worse!” she instructed, getting in the water up to her belly.

He attentively listened to his mentor’s instructions. Gee, she made it sound easy enough! He slowly (but surely) got used to the water, nervous about his first time swimming. Bristle’Thorn would save himself if something were too happen though! He instead focused on everything she said. He pushed off to where he couldn’t stand, doing his best to stay afloat (and shockingly so) succeeding at his first swim. It was refreshing in the heat too.

Sure, his form was messy and not the best, but it was pretty good! He was Learning to swim!

He stepped out and lightly shook off, then walking a bit from the water and scented the air. He smiled as he smelled a fresh, minty smell. He really did not want to smell like wet marshy mud all day, so he went over to what he believed the source was, rolling around in it to dry off and carry the fresh scent. The mint was nice and refreshing to his nose. He then stood, looking at the now crushes cat ing plant then to his mentor as they started walking.

She padded alongside her apprentice for quite a while, observing and acknowledging as the sky gig darker (and they were still quite far out). They were having a fun time though, just chatting about like and such, actually bonding.

After a bit of walking (right as they were about to return to camp) he paused a moment to look up at the gorgeous, starry sky. How pretty huh? The - BANG. He froze then frantically looked around for the cause of the loud noise. He scampered back a bit, looking anxiously to BristleThorn.
