Meeting after meeting. Honestly, Fishfreckle was starting to get fed up with all of the meetings. They were still stuck in this abandoned two-leg den, and Larkwing had been watching him like a hawk. Granted, the journey to the den was arduous, but hey! He didn’t get lost this time! Like c’mon, that had to count for something!

Anyways, he was irritable. Mainly because of the meeting and also because of the constant noise. He decided that if they could get to a new camp, he would tolerate the medicine cat’s den if it meant that he could have some peace and quiet to sleep. The incessant noise from being in close proximity with his fellow clanmates was really starting to piss him off because it did absolutely freaking nothing to satiate the throbbing he felt in his head all the time. More times than not he found himself going to sleep and praying that StarClan just wipe everyone out so he could have some peace. Everyone but him of course. Larkwing too, and Medicinecatpaw. He’d forgotten the apprentice’s name, but as much as he disliked it and her as a result, she had treated him, so she was allowed to stay. Mmm Dusklion too maybe? Oddly enough, he had a soft spot for the deputy. For some reason he’d felt drawn to her since his return, and she had even saved his life. That made her respectable enough. He’d allow her little friend to live too, but only to avoid having to deal with a depressed she-cat. Gosh, that’d be so annoying. What was her name? Wistsomethin? Oh well, for now she was ’Talkative’ and/or Cheery as well as ‘Loudmouth’ — what she was called would depend on his mood.

That out of the way, the undersized tom took up a spot far far far away from anyone else so that he could listen to whatever drivel Fadingbutt came up with this time. Hopefully they’d be going back home, he hated it here. Actually a new camp would be better, somewhere where they couldn’t be ambushed again (revenge for interrupting his sleep and destroying his den and camp would be his). Ugh, as much as he was partial to Duskdeputy on occasion, he was royally pissed with her contribution to that hell that got them in their current predicament. Perhaps he could get one good wack of her head in — not enough to hurt her, just enough to descramble her brain so that SHE DOESNT DO SOMETHING SO STUPID AGAIN! Ahem, sorry, he was out of his body for a moment.

Tap tap tap

That was the sound of Fishfreckle’s tail thumping softly against the ground behind him as he attempted to manage his anger in a way that didn’t result in yelling unholy words at someone else.

Starrykit lay at the corner of the nursery's entrance with a gaze full of... a mixture of hatred and hollowness. She didn't really care for this, anyway.
