ThunderClan is in a STATE OF EMERGENCY!
Foxes, badgers, hawks, oh my! These dangers are nothing compared to the threat within Camp Walls: sickness.
Whitecough and Greencough are something the Clans can treat, and at first this is what they believe this plague to be. But no treatment is working, and cats just keep getting sicker. Eventually, some die.
While ThunderClan has received a prophecy regarding this illness (this is NOT public knowledge, you can enjoy
the dream but don't have your cats know of it unless it gets announced by Bumblestar), it doesn't take away the importance of YOU GUYS as roleplayers - we need to spread the germ love and infect our silly little battle cats so it's less "a couple sick cats" and more "a wide-spread epidemic"!
How Do I Get Involved??
Simply post your cat(s) name below to sign them up for CoughClan! If you plan on your cat dying, please include that.
Then you can start your cat off with sickness symptoms and fill out a
healing request to make our lovely medicine cat duo cry inside. (Don't worry, they made the mistake of agreeing to this plot!
)
We are looking for at least 1 catmint related death! The idea is catmint, a known treatment for white/greencough, is used to combat the sickness but instead reacts badly to the fungus infecting the cat and causes the cat's body to attack its CNS. Once at least one cat dies, catmint will likely be taken off the table as treatment - the meds aren't trying to kill folks!
Symptoms include, but are not limited to: standard Whitecough/Greencough symptoms, but overtime becomes weight loss, lethargy, lack of appetite, nasal discharge (can be bloody!), fever, lameness/limping, facial swelling, skin lesions/abscesses, pneumonia, seizures, neurotic changes (unable to stand/walk, things like that. Should not make the cat overly aggressive!) If your cat develops some of the more serious symptoms, odds are they will die so keep that in mind!
Your cat WILL NOT be successfully treated until the Cure is brought back to ThunderClan; this is something discovered through the prophecy and won't be integrated in-character for at least a few weeks.
Once a cat is treated with the cure, symptoms will start to subside after 10 days, and can be considered gone entirely after 1 month. Rapid Recovery will knock 3 days off / 1 week off respectively, but as this is a major infection and treatment is presently unknown it will be harder on all characters involved.
