Dandelionmane lay in camp, peacefully relaxing. Things felt fairly calm today, which was so nice. The warrior knew they'd have to go out to train their apprentice soon but was exhausted.
Orangepaw was sitting, thinking, well, Orangepaw thoughts about how awesome he is or something.
But then a cat had skidded to a stop in front of him.
Who-!?
Oh, that's a hornet.
What are they talking about?
Sun staring contest?
What?
Wait, if he loses he had to clean out the elder's den!?
Absolutely not! He had to win this then!
Before he could manage a response, Mudhound had already said 'go'.
Geez okay.
Orangepaw moved his eyes toward the sun.
Wow it's bright.
He could handle it, for sure!

mmmmMMMMMMM This was starting to hurt! Why did the sun buuuuuuuuurn ooooooowwwwwwwww. Ok so maybe this wasnt a good idea, Mudhound couldnt see already and their eyes were watering BUT! But Mudhound wasnt giving up! They'd win this! For dignity! For honor! For victory!

A poor insult given they were all called squirrels by the other clans but the not at all biting jab was more at the apprentices puffy orange tail.

Orangepaw's eyes narrowed a little due to the bright rays, but he didn't blink yet.
He was not cleaning out the elder's den for a reason like this!

He wasn't pulling out ticks either!
That would surely mess up his pelt horribly!
He started to respond again, but then came the last little jab that probably wouldn't bother most cats.
But this is Orangepaw we're talking about.
"Squirrel-butt!?" The small apprentice gawked, his gaze immediately moving the from sun without realizing it as he looked at Mudhound with an appalled expression and his tail straightened for once.

Augh............they knew this was coming. Storytime with Foxskipper had been a lucky diversion just the once, but it seems all paths lead back to the sun. Goldenpaw twitches a rueful little smile up at Cypresspaw, stretching long and lackadaisically out of the tight ball they'd been tucked in
"S'about that time, huh?" They shoot a look skyward. Goldenpaw aready plans on throwing the match, but they're wondering just how much effort they'll still need to put in to make this fun for Cypresspaw. Guess I'll find out.
"You're so on!" Goldenpaw cries, committing to the act of battling for her honor as she bounds over to get Cypresspaw back for the ear-flick. "Whaddya think I'm scared of? You?? The sun??? Nah...let's do this, let's get it," she hops a few times, hyping herself up.
Before she even made it to the clearing, Weevilkit's nose was twitching wildly, trying to catch every new scent she could find. The former loner had never been around so many cats at once, and so many different smells! Once she reached the clearing, she sat on the grass and continued investigating.
Although Weevilkit was to stay in the camp, that didn't seem so bad anymore. It looked like a lot of other cats were here, too! Perhaps this first half-moon wouldn't be as boring as she thought!
Feeling somewhat out of place, Weevilkit wandered around the clearing, trying to memorize every inch of her new home. As much as she wanted to go and mingle, Weevilkit wasn't really used to other cats. Instead, she found a nice spot in the grass and laid down there, watching intently as other young cats did their apprentice training.

Snowpaw emerged from the Elders den, blinking in the light. After that one awesome hunting patrol, she hadn't done anything else. No training. That was probably because of the lockdown. Anyways, Snowpaw had so much energy and nowhere to direct it. She was just-- cooped up. She tried to contain the energy, but she couldn't help it. She gazed around the clearing, seeing the overcrowded camp. WHattodowhattodowhattodo-?! Her thoughts were rapid, her energy boundless. She bounced on her paws restlessly. She caught a movement out of the corner of her eye and raced over, though it was just a leaf falling from a nearby bush. A leaf! Perfect! She could play with the leaf! Snowpaw batted at the leaf experimentally. It fluttered out of her grasp, pulled by the wind. She bounded after it excitedly, trying to catch it.

There was a restless energy in the camp, as though many cats had too much energy and nothing to do with it. A few cats sat around, more of them looked for ways to entertain themselves. At least Weevilkit wouldn't be the only one restricted to the camp.
A white-she cat caught Weevilkit's eyes as she bounded past, in hot pursuit of a fluttering leaf. The brown she-cat smiled and got to her paws, shaking some dust from her pet before she, too, chased after the leaf. She managed to bat it with her paws, only for the leaf to be blown higher by the breeze. Her fluffy tail flicked excitedly as she gave chase along with the white cat. If she was gonna be living here now, she might as well try to make friends.

Brackenclaw decided he would explain this one at least from his understanding this was a permanent reassignment. "From my understanding this reassignment will be permanent. I do hope we can get along Antpaw. You will also train alongside Mothpaw." Brackenclaw explained his deep dark voice ringing out despite him attempting to put on a more friendly face. Geez being cursed with such an intimidating body sometimes made connecting with others so difficult. @BEAR. @Badwolf
"Yes." A confirmation of Brackenclaw's belief. "As long as there are no issues, this will be permanent. Brackenclaw should be more than capable of seeing your training through." Despite Mothpaw, which shouldn't be a deterrent for either of them if they worked as a team. "Any further questions before I leave you two be?" Wolfhive figured if Antpaw had an issue later, he knew where to find him.
