❀ ฺ dewleap happened to glance over and notice young plumkit, her eyes narrowed. she seemed to be... sad? or was that a hint of gloominess? she couldn't tell, but she didn't seem to want to be approached, so she turned her head and flicked her tail. sighing, she padded over to duskkit. `hello,` she purred, sitting in front of him. `where's your mother? i'd like to speak with her,` she hadn't seen his mother today, and she had wondered where she was.

Dusk ' Kit's ear perked up when he heard someone padding up to him, yellow eyes peaking open and catching on DewLeap.

He opened his eyes fully, lifting his head and shifting slightly as DewLeap spoke up, asking him where his mother was.

He huffed quietly, slightly annoyed at having his sunbathing interrupted.

"Umm... I don't know?"

The kit's eyes flickered around for a moment, hoping the she-cat would leave him be.

Having been taking a cat nap in the warriors den before he headed out again (boy his sleep schedule was wrecked right now) Crowtooth was awoken by the sound of his name. News he might like sounded like news he might like, honestly, so rousing and padding out the top stretched, yawning and walking towards Mushroomglow with a "How ya doin' Mushroomglow. Ya dont smell like ya got in trouble an' Im betting if Hummingbirdsong was at any risk while ya were out there ya'd be more in a tizzy so maybe this will be good news (for once, stars life is chaotic aint it). Whats up?"

Mushroomglow had a big grin, "I was out with my mate at Sedgewater Valley. Seems those Riverclan cats can't keep their mouths shut. One was extremely close to the border, so I confronted that one. But then another fish showed up. Blabbin' about somethin'. Best part? Blabbed about exactly where Riverclan is staying." She took a breath and continued, "They're in a abandoned two-leg den." She seemed proud of herself. "We ran off before they could do anythin', mostly 'cause I was worried they'd attack Birdy. I don't care if they attack me, but I don't want Birdy bein' hurt being pregnant and all."

(It was a mess up, which may be changed if they ask staff, so fair warning on that. But it was quoted and reacted to. So we were given the go ahead to blab to either Crow or Twilight.)

Oh? Ohhohohohoho? A sly grin cracked the toms face, tail flicking amused as he purred, pleased. Now this was good, he had confirmation riverclan was back sure but this said multiple things. One, riverclan wasnt just attacking anyone at the border right now, a good sign. But two and more importantly that twoleg den. Big landmark like that had to be easy to find if windclan had reason to, sure they'd meet resistance but finding it was half the battle and they had a large hint now. Not that windclan wanted to at the moment, not if riverclan was going to remain peaceful.


Chuckling proper the deputy chuffed at the molly, very pleased indeed. "Well thats some nice work Mushroomglow. Thank ya very very much fer the info and dont ya worry about havin' ta leave early. I get ya worryin' more about yer mate then lingerin' ta mind some fish who got the message anyways.



Mind tellin' me their temperament though? Im keen ta see if theyre hostile or tryin' ta make peace or plannin' somethin'. Anythin', opinions thin's ya noticed ect, is o' use."

Hopefully Twilightstar was overhearing this and would be out soon, windclan just got handed a boon.

Hummingbirdsong blinked. "One was hyper..... like they weren't aware of us. But there Riverclan so I'm sure there fish brains couldn't scent us." Hummingbirdsong saltily murmured. Riverclan had killed her mother so she was not fond of them

Mushroomglow sat there in thought, "The first one that appeared, seemed like they wanted to cross the border or somethin'. Or itching for a fight. Can't really tell. The second one seemed more reasonable. But they ordered the first one around, which was strange. Must've been a lionheart.. Lets see what else.." She paced slightly, eyeing the ground to think. "First one seemed real angry after the second one approached.. What was the first ones name.. Red somethin'. Suffix started with an M. Don't remember much from there." She seemed to nod to affirm that was all. "Pretty sure that is it. Didn't get much from 'em."

This was interesting news. The WindClan leader popped out of her den with her ears erect and quietly joined the conversation. RiverClan was living in a twoleg den? She sat near Crowtooth with a curious gleam in her green eye. Why the hell were they living in a twoleg den?

This was a great tidbit of news that could aid WindClan should RiverClan start anything with them. Twilightstar hadn't any problems sharing such news with the other two clans considering the lack of warring between them and ShadowClan and ThunderClan. This still had her head spinning.

Twilightstar didn't care much for the cat's temperament since that could vary from cat to cat. She wasn't surprised about the hostility, she figured there would be some resentment from RiverClan even though they didn't have anyone but themselves to blame for their situation.

"The hostility is to be expected, though I'm glad to hear you got out of there before any trouble could brew. I am more curious why they're staying in a twolegs den. I doubt the twoleg den is a permanent home. Think they're moving to a new camp?" The question was tossed at Crowtooth. She wanted to ask Mushroomglow if she had heard anything about their leadership, but seeing as she said she didn't get much from them Twilightstar didn't see the need to waste her breath.

She was semi-hoping that Fading... whatever he called himself, wasn't still in charge. She's seen leaders like him before, the bull-head types, blinded by arrogance or pride. He was the type to refuse to learn from his mistakes or take responsibility for any wrongful actions. Or so she assumed as his parting words echoed in her head. The Cowardlylion wasn't much better, as Twilightstar didn't want anything to do with that killer. Yet, she admits that RiverClan might have a better chance for growth with that murderer at the head of the clan. Of course, that could be her looking for a brighter side on spoiled fish. The next gathering was coming soon so time would tell if they showed.

I thought it'd be better to ask then to just leave suddenly." Mushroom glanced over at her mate, looking her over for anything that she would have to worry over. She didn't see anything, so she let out a soft exhale of relaxation.

Hummingbirdsong looked back to her mate, blinking in gentle understanding. Stepping forward to her rest tail along her mates side. "I'm ok. Pregnancy never held a cat back for long." Hummingbirdsong teased gently, attempting to lighten her mates mood a bit.

Ah, there was the leader. Crowtooth gave a little purr she joined him, idly noting she was getting even chubbier somehow and wondering about that. It wasnt a bad thing at all, the stocky tom had always been of the mind that the skinny molly didnt eat enough but the growth was rather... Sudden. She'd never grown like this before and come to think of it the tom wasnt sure he saw her eating more then normal. Something to poke later.


For now a single ear pinned at that Riverclan was still being 'hostile' when they should know better but it flicked back up as he dismissed it. Some snippyness wasnt a big issue, not unless it escalated. What was more important to think on was Twilightstars idea that they werent staying in the den and Crowtooth tossed his head back, idly looking at the sky as he thought.


"I cant say I know the fish well but- Oh right, feel free ta head off Mushroomglow, we aint gonna hold ya while we ponder. Thank yall again and good luck wit' yer kittens! Good health on yall!"
Honestly those two were such a nice well mannered lesbian couple, hopefully the birth would go smoothly. Actually there were a lot of births of late and more to come with Leopardsong due soonish by the deputy's recollection, windclan was soon to drown under kittens.


With the two gone though he turned back to Twilightstar. "Bet ya they aint goin' back to their old camp(s) an' are sleepin' in the twoleg den instead. I mean think about it, if we were driven outta camp by a clan an' would have ta basically start over regardless why go back ta the same place? The dens were destroyed when the raid ended, all o' them an' the twoleg den is a protective enough structure ta stay in fer now.


Buuuuut think yer right an' they aint gonna stay there, they wouldnt have just dropped the info otherwise. Plus we're all wildcats, any clan would be too prideful ta live in any sort o' twoleg thin'." So if riverclan was living there any time but temporarily Crowtooth would think even less of them, if that's possible. No the real question would be, if the tom was indeed being clever, what became of the twoleg den after it served its purpose as a temporary camp, and where would they actually be living next.




....Perhaps that was a thought to be shelved and explored when windclan actually had a reason to care however. For now riverclan was only an issue if they made themselves one and could thrive in the clean slate offered. Sure the other clans wouldnt forget the past but they'd made a bond to move past it until given reason otherwise so this idle planning was moot.



Flopping over and rolling to rest his side against the leader Crowtooth stretched with a pleased grunt, enjoying the warm sun and starclans fortune blessing windclan.
