Bouncing around the Vine (Bouncepaw and Vinepaw)

Bouncepaw pads into the clearing, licking part of his pelt to make sure it's all clean and shiny. He'd just woken up, and the sun is just barely starting to rise, slowly going up on the horizon, painting the sky in colors of red and orange. Bouncepaw admires the scene for a just a few moments before looking around to see if any other cats were there.

Vinepaw

Vinepaw had been laying down trying to catch up on sleep when he felt a pair of eyes on him. He slowly looked up relieved to only see bouncepaw and not a dark forest torturer. He sat up desperate for a distraction he stood up and padded over

“Hey Bouncepaw,how are you?” He asked while curling his tail around his paws. His blue eyes shone in the faint light of the rising sun.

"Pretty good." Bouncepaw replies, looking at Vinepaw with curiosity. It could just be his intuition, but the older cat didn't look good today. Not that they knew each other well- in fact, Bouncepaw only knew him from the rabbit hunt they had previously, so he couldn't judge, but only observe Vinepaw with concern.

"How about you?" He asks, "You don't look too good. Is it because it's morning? It is pretty early, isn't it?" The last sentence is said with a yawn.

Vinepaw nodded "Yeah I just had a rough night' he said while analyzing the younger tom's expression."So what's up?"It wasn't often that cats would approach him maybe bouncepaw had a question.

"Nothing much, I'm just planning to get some training in," Bouncepaw meows, thoughts drifting over to his first hunting lesson he just had with his mentor, Bluestrike. Now that was a horrible first experience. He caught nothing. Near five attempts, and all of them failed. Although Bluestrike reassured him, and didn't seem too disappointed, Bouncepaw clearly needed a lot of practice. He was determined to do better.

"I'm going not too far from the camp, maybe near the flower field. Do you want to come along?" He offers.

Vinepaw nodded he hadn't been out of camp in a while but they would need a warrior if they were going out of camp though he knew the kit Corrals had flowers.." I would like to go with you but wouldn't we need a warrior to go out of camp with?" he asked jittery.

"In the clearing next to the kit corrals, then?" Bouncepaw wasn't used to being with a friend, anothed apprentice; for a second he had forgotten that this wasn't Bluestrike, his mentor, but Vinepaw.

"The clearing next to the kit's corrals, then?" He offers. "With the puddle."

He pads over to lie down between the flowers, sunbathing and enjoying the warmth it brings him. He looks expectantly at Vinepaw.

Vinepaw nodded kit corrals it is he padded along with bounce paw grateful for the distraction once they get there he watches as bounce paw begins to sun bath he smiles softly a blue flower catches his attention and he walks over to pick it maybe lightningstorm would like it or maybe owl paw though another flower catches his eye before he can finish his thought

Staying in the sun was making Bouncepaw overheat. He glances at the shallow puddle he finds in the kit's corrals. Why not go for a dip?

Bouncepaw jumps into the water, splashing Vinepaw as he does so. He laughs as he sees the older cat become wet because of him. Bouncepaw lies down in the water; the puddle was very shallow, and he had to do this to be fully submerge himself. But it felt good and cool on his pelt. Bouncepaw wasn't a Riverclan cat, but maybe he'll learn swimming sometime.

Vinepaw-9Moons

Vinepaw watched as Bouncepaw, now an apprentice, enthusiastically leaped into the shallow puddle. The splash of water hit Vinepaw, making him momentarily startle. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Bouncepaw's playful antics and the water soaking his fur.

The puddle was barely deep enough for Bouncepaw to fully immerse himself, but the cool relief was evident on his face. It felt refreshing against the warmth of the sun. Though Bouncepaw wasn’t a Riverclan cat and might not be as skilled in swimming, Vinepaw admired his curiosity and enthusiasm.

With Bouncepaw’s playful energy still evident, Vinepaw decided it was the perfect moment to shift gears. “Ready for some battle training?” he asked, eager to channel Bouncepaw’s excitement into something productive. It was time to move from the lighthearted fun to honing his skills.
