Watertail and Vinepaw stealth training <333

Watertail yawned, he'd groomed, eaten. And having no apprentice he'd been helping Vinepaw learn something. He padded to the apprentice den and called out. "Vinepaw. Are you in here?" Watertail had promised the apprentice the day before about some stealth training, it was valuable for a warrior and Watertail figured it teach the young Tom as it usually wasn't taught in depth by normal mentors as it wasn't exactly a requirement. Watertail sat outside of the apprentice den, waiting with a rabbit in front of his paws for the apprentice to eat before they go out.

Vinepaw stirred from his sleep at the sound of Watertail’s voice. He blinked groggily, shaking off the last remnants of his dreams. As he stretched, he caught sight of the rabbit resting in front of Watertail’s paws, and his stomach let out a low growl. Despite his hunger, he felt a flutter of excitement in his chest. Stealth training was a step up from the usual drills, and he was eager to learn.

“Coming, Watertail!” Vinepaw called out, his voice a mix of enthusiasm and nervousness. Watertail wasn’t his mentor, but he had offered to help with some extra training, and Vinepaw wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity.

He scrambled out of the apprentice den and padded over to Watertail. As he approached, he tried to hide his eagerness, focusing on the task at hand rather than the rabbit tempting him. He greeted Watertail with a respectful dip of his head.

“Good morning, Watertail,” Vinepaw said, his eyes bright with anticipation. “I’m ready for the training. What are we going to do today?” His gaze shifted between the rabbit and Watertail, eager to find out how the day’s lesson would unfold.

We'll be doing stealth training and maybe something else if everything goes well" Watertail felt a flash of respect for the apprentice, he'd focused on Watertail and the task at hand while his stomach rumbled. "Eat up now, we'll leave soon" Watertail meowed.

Vinepaw nodded at the warrior and dug into the rabbit. Once finished he looked back up and walked over to the older warrior he had grown fond of the older warrior. So stealth training he needed to work on that after the embarrassing stalking lesson with deadmoon this would be a change. "Where do you want to go?" he asked while keeping pace with Watertail.[/CENTER]

Watertail gave a thoughtful hum, using his tail to flick a piece of the apprneitce's fur down. "Well, help me. What place do you think would be good to lay low."

Vinepaw thought for a moment, then nodded with determination. “The undergrowth by the old oak tree would be a great place,” he suggested. “It’s really dense there, with lots of branches and bushes that can help you stay hidden. The uneven ground also makes it tricky to move silently, which could be useful for practicing your stealth skills.”

He gestured toward the direction of the old oak. “I can show you the spot if you’d like. It’s a bit of a walk, but I think it’s perfect for what you need. Plus, I can help you set up some markers or obstacles if you want to make it even more challenging.” His eyes sparkled with enthusiasm, eager to help Watertail make the most of his practice.

Watertail who rarely gave out praise, even suprised himself when he gave an approving purr, "Wonderful analysis. We'll head there first and then we'll see how you do with open ground or as I call it, grassy stealth." Watertail meowed, his whiskers twitiching in amusement as the apprentice told him where the oak was, Watertail decided to not remind the young tom of his age and padded along side his new lead.
