Hawkbite would continue to rub on and mark the border as they chatted about the lost clan. Eventually, he'd come to the last portion of the border and turn to look at Shrewstep with his tail tip twitching. He was thinking about what his fellow Enforcer was going on about but decided not to speak on it. A revenge attempt would be a sad thing to try when just coming back -- if they came back. He hoped RiverClan wasn't dumb enough to try something like that.

With a small huff and a nod, Hawkbite would signal for Shrewstep to follow him back. He'd have to report the lack of Duskpaw on the patrol. A pity, really. Hawkbite prayed the clan wasn't falling on their lazy old habits. It took holding exiles over their heads for them to pick back up in activity. Hopefully, it didn't have to become that severe again.

Willowtail padded into Saltmeadowmarsh. Not looking back to see if her clanmates were coming, the new warrior did NOT wanna get in trouble because they weren't heading out. Though she might get reprimanded for going out by herself...... jeez!! Willowtail shook off her worries and padded along the border, Willowtail sniffed along the border, marking certain spots that were faded or fading and leaving the stronger scents to her clanmates, if they ever showed up. Willowtail sighed gently and continued down the line, once she reached the end she went back across, "Some broken bramble........ huh. But what isn't broken here?" Willowtail grumbled, flicking her abnormally long tail in a long swish of content.

The young warrior gave a stern look around her as she wondered, what was going to happen next? Was Riverclan going to be chased out again? Would Riverclan be scorned for "Running away" regardless of them being chased out? Gah! There was only negative things to think about!!! Willowtail finished marking the faded or fading parts of the border, looking around and making sure there was no unwanted creatures around. "Might as well tell Duskleaf about the broken bramble, it was defidently trampled on by a a cat but it could have been a clumsy apprentice who busted there ass." Willowtail murmured, keeping an eye out on the border as she headed back. She waited for a moment by a tree in hopes her clanmates would come along and mark the rest of the border, if not then Willowtail would hed home with her head and tail held high.

As she had been walking, Caveclaw noticed that Willowtail had moved ahead.
Well, she must be eager to get the patrol over with, or be back in their home.
One of the two.

Caveclaw checked the scents. The border had definitely faded a lot.

She listened as Willowtail noted the bramble, and gave a nod.
Caveclaw marked a decent amount before finishing up.

Trailing behind the rest of his patrol, Falconflight just sulked. He didn't want to be here and he would not hide it. Still, he didn't want to get in trouble so he would just come anyway...plus it was nice to be back home. Fluffing out his pelt, the warrior absently took in all the scents of Riverclan territory again.

Picking up the pace as they reached Saltwater marsh, the grey tabby swiftly went on to marking. The border was basically none existent now. Those fox hearts better not have crossed into their territory. He was still slaty about his brother's death. A flick of his ear was the only sign he gave to show he heard Willowtail. A broken bramble was probably nothing to worry about but whatever he guessed. With his marking done he followed the others back to camp

Willowtail nodded, waiting for her clanmates as she sat by the tree. Keeping an eye out as she winced. Willowtail's eyes were filled with sadness as she looked around, blue hues getting emotional. This was her home.... but the only thing left was bad memories... her mother.. her uncle... her brother. All dead in her own territory. Willowtail was an apprentice when her mother passed, becoming Willowtail once they had reached there mountain territory. During Willowtail's apprentice ceremony Fadingstar had given her condolences for her mother's death, thinking about being back in the place it all started brought tears to Willowtail's eyes. The young warrior shook out her fur to shake away her feelings. She needed to be strong in order to survive. Floodlight had checked the nursery as promised, Willowtail had cried slightly, hiding his brother Weepingpaw and sister Daisykit from the sight of there dead mothers body, telling them everything was alright. Willowtail saw Falconflight's sulking and couldn't hold back her small growl. Willowtail let Caveclaw take the lead once again as they headed home.

Blazestrike spotted the feathered animal pecking at the ground for worms. He pounced from the bushes into the open to catch the thrush, but it saw him in time and flew up into the nearby trees. Blazestrike let out a low growl of anger and continued his wander across the thin strip of contested land-

wading through the wetlands, watery soil clinging to white tipped limbs and dark fur, paws sinking into soft ground and pushing through opaque water-soil-plant slush, rookfire kept his eyes open for anything out of the ordinary. whilst he had been anxious to exit camp alone during restrictions, even though he had every right to do so as an enforcer, knowing every warrior had the right to step foot outside alone calmed his spirits a bit. up til now, everything had been quiet and rook got to enjoy the cool water engulfing his body, instead of keeping to the flat, brush covered land. he hadnt really understood the concept behind mud baths before joining shadowclan, but with the heat gathering beneath heavy trees, air nearly stationary and thick dark fur, he could understand the need for something watery, cool. it did appear he wouldnt be granted this luxury today, as a small vaguely brown and white bird broke through the tree line rapidly fluttering, followed by the slight movement of undergrowth and silence. rookfire leaped out of the water-mud mixture, shaking the worst of it out of his fur quickly whilst moving towards the noise, pausing every few steps to listen and watch for more information.
"reveal yourself" the enforcer barked at the mystery feline still hidden by the green of bushes and other undergrowth, having come to a halt relatively close to where the noise had originated from, mindful of the border and his own position in this. if it was a riverclanner they were too close for his liking and would leave with a few more sharp words spat at them, if not, some clanmate got a good scare out of this.

-Blazestrike crouched down again upon hearing another cat. He stayed completely still, only moving to scent who was there. Blazestrike could tell it was a Shadowclan cat and cursed to himself quietly. If he was recognized, he would be in trouble, and if he wasn't, it still very likely would end in a fight. He slowly started to back away into Riverclan territory to avoid the other cat. Blazestrike carefully placed his paws on the ground in spots where there weren't any brambles or twigs that could give away where he was, but a thorned branch was in the way, causing Blazestrike to slightly hiss in pain when he stepped on it-

Dusklion - RiverClan Deputy

Having stalked through the forest quietly upon coming up to an unfamiliar scent, Dusklion watched through narrowed blue eyes as a strange longer toed the border. Some ShadowClan cat was calling out to them, but it appeared they'd heard this and decided to go further into RiverClan territory.

Not today.

Without much warning the deputy lept from the bushes and aimed to bowl the strange cat over, hoping to use her claws to slam them into the ground and stun them so she could pin them. "Get outta RiverClan territory before I shred you. You're not welcome here."

[ @alec @Blazemico - apologies for hopping in but saw they strayed into riverclan territory, so tossing dusk in to keep them from going further. also, i see that blazestrike was an exile - how long ago was he exiled? just so i know if dusk would recognize him as shadowclan! ]

with the intruder not following his order he wouldve pretty much liked to pounce on them then and there, but since they were awfully close to the border and rookfire expected riverclan to return to patrolling sometime around now, he did not wanna risk it. for good reason apperantly, because pretty soon after his own order and the rustling ceasing, another, all too familiar, voice carried over the border. dusklion. it appeared she had been less lenient than him, perhaps just more foolish, so close by the border, but a good bit of shrubs and undergrowth shifting around cats bodies was the only thing to tell him anything about the situation for the moment. taking a few steps to the side, the enforcer was able to get a more clear view on them, maw twisting into a sly grin, dusklion and some unfamiliar possible outsider. the riverclan deputy, or whatever she was at this point, looked a bit worse for wear and rookfire straightened up to glare at them from across the border, larger and carrying the large scar left by dusklions brother with more pride than shame.
"didnt think i'd see you rats around again so soon" he sneered at the she-cat, already entirely uncaring about the intruder (they werent on his side anymore anyway).
