Ratflame walked out into the clearing of Shadowclan's camp, her tail flicking as she looked around. Today was finally the day, time to start training up her apprentice. Her ears flattened for a moment, a mixture of worry and anticipation running through her body before she shook herself off, appearing antsy in front of her apprentice wouldn't make for a good first impression, staying cool and collected, that's what every other cat did right?

She exhaled slowly and took a seat where she was, wrapping her tail over her paws before calling out. "Ladybugpaw, come on over here." There she waited for her apprentice, it was time to begin the day.

Ladybugpaw perked up when she heard Ratflame call her name. Excitement buzzed in her paws as she quickly padded over to where her mentor was sitting. Her blue eyes gleamed with anticipation, eager to start her training.

“Good morning, Ratflame!” Ladybugpaw greeted with a bright smile, her tail flicking with energy. She could sense a bit of nervousness in her mentor, but she didn’t mind — everyone had first-day jitters. “What are we doing today? I’m ready for anything!”

She sat down in front of Ratflame, trying to match her mentor’s calm demeanor, though her own enthusiasm was hard to contain. Ladybugpaw was determined to make a good impression and show Ratflame just how eager she was to learn.

Ratflame dipped her head, taking a moment to look over her apprentice before speaking up "I was thinking we could begin with a territory tour, help you understand where everything is." A simple though thorough tour would hopefully give her a little sense of who her apprentice was, and give her an idea what type of cat she'd be spending a few moons training. So far she hadn't said anything stupid enough to make want to rip her pelt, that meant she was doing something good at least.

Pushing herself onto her paws, Ratflame made her way towards the camp entrance, looking back to make sure Ladybugpaw was following. She went over the territory layout in her head. Borders first, and places in their territory next seemed appropriate. "We will start with our border between thunderclan."
