He might have been a little late but he was here now! Aspenpaw couldn't skip out on a battle training opportunity. No way, he need to sharpen his skills early, that way incase he needed too, he could shred anyone who dared to threatened riverclan. This was one of the things he had been looking forward to most when starting his apprenticeship. Dusklions seemed to be taking things into her own paws, wait did that mean the deputy would training them?

Special training from THE deputy!!

He joined his fellow apprentices and gathered closer to dusklions, waiting for what ever she was going to say or do. At the same time he scanned over the gathered cats noting who was here, he did spot a few warriors...and the kittypet. Why were they here, were they going to help teach too? He'd accept training from either of the warriors but not so much the kittypets. She may have a few scars to show her time in riverclan, but her fur still looked too soft. She lived to long in the life of a pampered and spoilt Kittypet with Twolegs. Aspenpaw rolled his eyes and looked back at dusklions waiting once more

Riftpaw approached Dusklion curiously, but still stayed slightly towards the back of the other apprentices. He secretly hoped Beaverpaw would join...he was really the only other cat he knew.

Dewpaw hesitated, "Oh uhm.. I don't.. have a mentor at the moment. Not since the war. I had gotten lost, y'see." She muttered. The apprentice forced a smile, "However, I should do fine. I fought in the war while blinded by my wounds." She truly didn't know if she would do fine, since the change in eyesight. But she'll have to figure out something to use to her advantage. Smell? Hearing? Maybe even touch. Something that wasn't sight. After hearing what Primrosepaw had to say, she said, "Let's see what Dusklion says about the rules."

Rainpaw blinked at Dewpaw sympathetically. "I'm so sorry, Dewpaw." She mewed, touching her tail-tip to her denmate's shoulder in support. "I'm pretty much a novice too... We'll figure it out together!" She nodded as she continued, her voice growing more hopeful and determined. She meant what she said, she wanted them to work together. Then Dusklion summoned them again to get more organized.

She glanced at Dewpaw, flicking her tail with a small shrug. She padded over with Dewpaw and sat next to her. She hoped whatever was going to happen that Dewpaw and her would still get to work together.

Primrosepaw’s emerald eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she nodded at Ravenpaw’s suggestion. "This spot looks perfect to me," she purred, flicking her tail in approval. She could see the mischievous glint in Ravenpaw’s eyes and matched it with a playful grin of her own.

“Dusklion better be ready to take notes!” she teased back, dropping into a tight, ready stance. “Let’s give her a sparring session to remember.”

She took a moment to assess the area, ensuring there was enough room for them to move freely without getting in the way of others. Satisfied, she focused on Ravenpaw, excitement buzzing in her paws. “Alright, I’m ready when you are! Let’s see what you’ve got, Ravenpaw.”

[ just a small ooc note - primrosepaw has been taken out for battle training twice already. once by adderstrike, another by dusklion. she´s really good at fighting, so ravenpaw will want to think wisely. ]

Ravenpaw grinned, maybe this will turn out to be a good sparring session after all. "Careful what you wish for!" She warned, the same teasing, mischievous tone in her voice. Ravenpaw hadn't had much training herself, outside of Brokenstream helping fix her stance earlier. Recalling that instruction, she got into her crouch. She could tell from the ease that Primrosepaw found her stance that she was much more trained that she was. No matter. Ravenpaw grinned. Her denmate might have more experience then her, but Ravenpaw was a quick study. Besides, the point of training was to learn, not necessarily to win.

Ravenpaw forced her tail to stop waving excitedly, and was about to start by simply launching at her target like she would prey, but then she became unbalanced when Dusklion called out a summons. Ravenpaw looked at Primrosepaw and tilted her head, walking over to sit among the newly gathered apprentices, clearing a spot with her fluffy tail for her new sparring buddy to sit by her. Primrosepaw had perked Ravenpaw's interest, and she truly hopef they had the opportunity to spar.

He noticed the deputies warning glance after, causing him to tense up. Just- calm down. You were probably over-reacting. But honestly, who did that cat think he was to try and be the damn hero- no. Calm down. It’s fine. Deep breaths. He had never been so sensitive before. Maybe so much stress was building up? Yeah, that was it. But he would never admit that. He’ll admit he was too harsh to the warrior, and he shouldn’t have. He’ll apologize and call it a day. He’d find some punishment to give himself to make him calm down, or ask DuskLion at least.

He hesitated, looking back at WisteriaWren. How had this gentle cat chose him to interact with and be sparring partners with? He had no idea, but it made him feel less like a monster. He waited for her before padding up in front of the deputy, who he’d do his best to avoids eye contact at the moment.
