Smolderpaw, being only young, completely and utterly immature, as well as lacking basic manners, had a tendency to be blunt and kind of impolite. So, here comes the boy of the moon, with the newfound confidence of a recently made apprentice, came stomping on over to a molly that he didn’t really recognize.

“Who are you?” He blurted out, staring up at her with those bright blues of his. “I’ve never seen you before, an’ I’m pretty sure I’d remember someone with cool scars, but I can’t remember you–so who are you?”

Softkit flicked her tail irritably. Did Duskkit have to ruin her moment of triumph? She had caught a butterfly! On her first try!! I suppose Duskkit did help... Hm. Well, she could forgive Duskkit's gloating, even though she had obviously done most of the work. "Good job," she sniffed. Softkit hoped that her praise wouldn't go to Duskkit's head. Though... She did care about her sister, even if she didn't outwardly show it very well. She glanced down at the butterfly again, then glanced back at Duskkit. She realized that she probably should show more gratitude. Duskkit might be expecting it, or something... She really didn't know. "Uh... Thanks?" she amended.

The sun dappled his pelt as the tom allowed himself to be a bit lazy today and lounge in the warmth. RiverClan was nearly home, and it was only a matter of time before Fadingstar and Dusklion found their new camp. He had to admit, it lifted a huge weight of his shoulders in terms of relief. Being appointed a Lionheart was a huge honor, of course, but he also had to admit that the timing was a bit stressful. Regardless, he was proud and warmed to know that the higher ranks trusted him so much with such a title. Speaking of the higher ranks...despite the praise in becoming a Lionheart, Brokenstream realized he honestly didn't know them very well. At least, not to a personal capacity. 'I should fix that. How else will we always be on the same page as a team?' He thought to himself before rising with a stretch and a yawn, swinging his head around until his eyes locked onto a familiar dark furred she-cat.

"Dusklion!"

Brokenstream felt his mouth go dry immediately after he called out. Could he just ask the deputy to have a get-to-know-you conversation at a time like this? 'Well...she could probably use a distraction more than me.' The Lionheart shrugged, proceeding to pad over to the deputy. Still, he wracked his brain for what to say. Dusklion sure seemed like the no-nonsense type, and Brokenstream wasn't trying to make a fool of himself their first interaction... But what if he did? The tom shook his head at himself, willing the nerves to go away. She was a RiverClan warrior just like him! There was nothing to be worried about. Puffing out his chest in an attempt to appear confident, he continued forward.

"I was wondering if maybe you'd like to get to know each other more...or...something...since we're both Lionhearts!"

'...Are you dumb?' He asked himself, kicking himself mentally. "I meant...since I'm a Lionheart now. It'd be good for us to get to know each other so we can work better as a team." Brokenstream corrected himself, biting back a hiss at his awkward mistake. How was she or the others ever going to take him seriously if he couldn't even start a conversation correctly? He wasn't normally this nervous to talk to anyone, bit he wanted to make a good first impression. 'And look where that got you, fish brain!' He snorted quietly to himself. "Of course, if you have the time, that is. Don't let me stop you if you're busy, or I could help if you need anything." There, that was better.

( @taillow - poor broken doesn't know how to approach higher ranks with his new title since he thinks that makes his embarrassing moments x10 wore LOL )

Fishkit yawned and plopped onto the ground where they were standing. They were bored. No kidding. They were always bored. What to do..? Annoy a warrior? Tease a queen? Stare at an elder? Sneak out of the stinky den? No.. They would be in major trouble. Fishkit stood up again and walked in a circle, thinking about what they should do. Where were their kit friends when they needed them?!

Primrosepaw approached the den with a friendly wave of her tail. Spotting Jaggedkit loafing in the shadows, she couldn't help but smile.

“Hey, Jaggedkit!” she called out softly so as not to startle him. “What’s up? You look like you’ve found the perfect spot to relax. Would you like me to show you some hunting moves?”
