Alpinepaw nodded and swiftly walked away searching for tansy. Tansy description was small, feathery, and curly green stems with round yellow flowers. Fortunately for the patrol, she found a patch of tansy plants. Alpinepaw did not know what to do with them. She quickly headed back and said to Orangeflower, "I found a patch of tansies! What should I do with them?"

She looked over from her own search whenever she heard the apprentice speak. “I think it’s best to get them from the bottom of the stem and pull out. I’m not quite sure, just try not to damage the plant! I can show ya if ya’d like?” she offered, hoping she didn’t mess up.

Alpinepaw politely said, "Yes, please!" She led the way to the patch. The patch had plenty of tansies to harvest. Alpinepaw then waited for Orangeflower to demonstrate.

She followed the apprentice to the patch of tansy, nodding to herself as she was glad that the apprentice correctly identified it, not like she had much doubt in her! “Okayyyy…let’s see here…” she lowered her head to get the bottom of the plant, plucking them out cleanly, with almost no struggle. Sweet! Hopefully it would always be that easy. “Here ya go! Let me know if you need more help.” she offered kindly, setting the tansy she plucked in front of AlpinePaw

"Let's cover this place with flowers!"

Finding an herb was easier said than done. After they'd split from Orangeflower and Alpinepaw, they seemed to be in circles looking for one singular thing. Burdock, that's what it was called. Snakepelt was sure of that. But it was one thing to know a name, and one thing to know the appearance. They thought they'd remembered, but as they continued around, all looked hopeless. Then, a strong scent winded them, making them stop in their tracks. That, that was familiar. How could they miss such a sharp scent? It was almost outrageous. Racing towards the scent, hoping to get out of this painful loop, they spotted the distinct petals.

Closer to the stem, they reminded themself as they sank their teeth into the stem. They yanked out the Burdock, doing it several times over until the stems were starting to become hard to carry. They would much rather chew mouse bile, and swallow it, then chew any kind of stem. They made quick work of the situation, almost sprinting back to the meet-up spot.

Burdock, to Snakepelt's knowledge, wasn't bitter, but that didn't mean it wasn't awful in taste. Without a second thought, they set the herbs down and spoke.

"Alright, here's the Burdock, lemme know when you're ready to go."

The young cat happily said as she carefully stepped over the picked tansy, "Thank you Orangeflower!" Alpinepaw was right in front of the patch and she lowered her head to harvest one. Crunch! She had bitten into the stem and slowly pulled the plant out. There was a ripping sound from the ground. It was surprisingly easy to harvest them.

“Of course!” she gave an appreciative nod for the apprentices thanks then looked, noticing the other warriors return. A grin met her face as she saw that they had burdock with them. Great! They had found some…what wasn’t great is that she herself didn’t. She’s supposed to be the patrol leader! Shouldn’t she be ahead? It’s okay—they still had more time. She could get plenty! And the apprentice hopefully would practice getting more as well.

“Great! We aren’t quite done yet here, I guess we took a while to figure out how to get the tansy! Hmmm…maybe look for a bit more of anything, just stay closer!” she said cheerfully to the warrior, making the task seem more like a game or adventure.

ORANGE ROLLED A 20! Dang her rolls are fire

She padded a bit away, still in range of the other cats and scented the air, scanning around rapidly. Ah- tansy! She jumped in excitement and scampered to the plant. Okay—remember what you did for AlpinePaws example. She went to the base and yanked out. It came out clean, no issue! Wow was she good at this! Her tail swayed high, proud of herself. Especially cause she immediately spotted another stash!

ORANGE ROLLED A 16

She went and sat hers down as she went to pull the flowers out. She had white a bit more struggle this time, some more bite marks and they may be a bit messy, but overall they were still usable and in decent conditions!

Wolfhive dragged Flamingclaw's body to one of the ravines near the edge of the territory and dropped it into it. He wasn't concerned about predators - the scar in the earth was deep and anything that made its way down the thin walls earned a snack. Cats didn't really go this way anymore anyway, maybe it was the eerie feeling of looking at a land literally torn into two.

Regardless, he dusted off his paws 'n headed back home.
