Oliverat quickly caught the mouse, keeping low behind his patrolmates
“Ey, when you two are done, let's wrap this up." (Patrol is due 2 days from now!)
Irisfrost watched as Floodsight positioned herself behind the rabbit. She dropped into her own crouch and waited, muscles tensed, prepared to leap at the rabbit and chase after it if necessary. The rabbit was oblivious to their presence until Floodsight raced towards it. Startling, it ran- towards her.
It wasn't coming directly at her, but it was easy enough to shift her position as darted towards it. The rabbit wasn't totally oblivious though; it saw or heard her coming towards it and ran in a new direction. But it had come close enough for her to be hot on its heels as she dashed after it, trying to focus on the rabbit while making sure not to trip on a loose pebble and ruin their hunt. Floodsight could still catch it, but the odds would be a lot slimmer. Neither of them were WindClan cats; they hadn't trained for this like they'd learned how to fish.
Her breaths were short and heavy and her legs burned, but they needed to catch that rabbit soon or it would outrun them. Irisfrost tried to put on one last burst of speed, flattening her neck and pinning her ears to her skull. And she was gaining on it. When she was close enough, she leapt. She wasn't used to performing it from a run, but she managed to sink her claws into the rabbit's hindquarters. With it pinned under her, she sank her teeth into the the creature's neck and it went limp under her. The chase had been worth it.
Irisfrost panted heavily, her heart slowly returning to its normal rate as the adrenaline wore off. "Good hunt," she said to Floodsight between puffs. She glanced at the rabbit, blood slowly seeping from the wounds she had given it. She didn't feel like saying anything more until she had caught her breath, so she silently thanked StarClan for the prey.

She watched the rabbit dart across the horizon, almost gaining distance from herself. Floodsight hated these chases, she wasn't suitable for it, nor did she have much practice. In a single moment, the rabbit changes direction, weaving through the manmade undergrowth of the hot springs. 'Curse the bridges.'
In a split moment, Irisfrost had begun her chase and brought the rabbit down swiftly, with efficiency and determination Floodsight admired. Between gasps of air, Floodsight smiled at the fellow warrior and between her short breaths Floodsight mewed, "Nice job! I- I almost thought we're- gonna- miss that!"
After hearing Oliverat's reminder, Floodsight nodded in agreement. They've been out here for a while already, and it was really time to get this hunting patrol wrapped up. "I'll go collect- the ones I buried, and we can head- straight back!"
On the way towards her buried prey, Floodsight had scented another mouse in the undergrowth. 'Should I get it? Just one more?' Her dim blue eyes narrowed, dropping to a crouch.

Success!
By some luck, she managed to catch one more mouse with her still heavy breathing. Carrying her mouse, she dug up her previous two pieces of prey and headed back to the others.
[ @kittycatburmise @HerbalTea | I'll write the return post once you two have store your prey into your inventory! thank you all for the successful hunting patrol!! OTL ]
Wisteriawren had been to this place a grand total of zero times before. For the record... the lack of knowledge about her current scenery had a reason. Said reason being RiverClan-was-driven-out-of-their-home-and-she-had-no-way-to-see-this-place. Now that they were back..ish, she could explore!
...On her own. It brought down her mood a little to realize she genuinely had no friends anymore. She'd thought... Antlerbranch and Dusklion had seen her as... not just either a potential lover or nothing at all. She'd thought they had been friends - best friends, even. But Antlerbranch was nowhere to be seen, and Dusklion... Dusklion had gone through so much without her, and Wisteriawren had gone through so much without the deputy that she feared even if they somehow ended up speaking again, they may not click anymore.
For a moment, Wisteriawren was stumped. That made her feel sad beyond reason. Would she ever get her friend back? They hadn't spoken in moons. But perhaps this was the way things were meant to be.
Padding over the rundown twoleg-crafted bridge, the former kittypet paused for a moment to run her paws over the wood, slowly being chipped away at by time. Everything got worn out eventually. It was after passing over the bridge that Wisteriawren spotted them - a cluster of tall, leafy fronds. She knew these! Recognized them from her kittypet days; they used to grow in Greta's garden. They were cool! They always made her happy for some reason...
Just seeing them... (she was naively unaware that it was the scent that caused the euphoria). Weaving her way over to it, it only took a few moments of being surrounded by its scent before Wisteriawren's pupils had blown wide, a happy smile brightening her face. Moments later and she was rolling in the clump of plants.
If someone happened upon her now out of pure luck - or if she had disturbed someone who'd been here before her - they'd probably be faced with a lighter, more happy-go-lucky Wisteriawren than seen in recent moons.

Never will he understand why cats willingly roll in the sweet smelling plant. Happening upon the scene, he stays silent, wondering if bothering her with his presence was something he even wanted to do. After all, she was a stranger to him even if she smelled of Riverclan. And he didn't take too kindly to strangers worming their way into his personal life. Not that he thought that she would do so willingly but there was always the chance...
Regardless, it was foolish to let oneself be so vulnerable on newly reacquainted territory. Who knows what other clan cats were still lurking upon it with them having been gone for so long. One bitter Windclan cat and the jolly molly would be no more. It wouldn't be his fault, either. Right? There was always a chance Fadingstar wouldn't see it that way. And that chance was more probably than he'd like.
So with a sigh he approaches. The urge to sniff and eat at the leaves she's indulging in passes through his mind for but a moment, his willpower to stave it off stronger than the desire.
"You do know that cats of other clans could still be prowling around these lands, right? They don't know we're back yet and I am absolutely certain they took advantage of our territory with us being gone."
Perhaps it wasn't his place to scold a stranger. But if something happened to her, unknown to him or not, it would be his fault in the leader's eyes. And that was something he waned to avoid at all costs. He glances about as if at any moment some vicious Thunderclanner could pop out from their hiding spot and ambush them, mismatched eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"Maybe you should have waited until the territory was toured and cleared before wandering out here alone."

Rose stopped by to plant a garden here.
Adderstrike was trying to make more friends with other cats in the clan and she went with Sharkhail. Well this was a mistake. He was a strange cat and she didn't know how to talk to him. It was like they had to share the braincell and Adderstrike was the only one with it. That was fine, but she got tired and need a sit down. It was so out today and she felt like she couldn't go any further with the heat so she just laid on the ground.
Sharkhail noticed how hot Adderstrike was getting so he pushed her over into the shade. "Overheatin.." He grumbled and looked around to make sure there was no predators lurking around.
"I'll be fine, I just need a nap..." Adderstrike mumbled annoyed she was moved but didn't actually put up any protest. It was nice and cool here. The water from the springs got into the air and cooled in the shade making the whole spot colder than usual. Mmm, nice and relaxing...
It took till the sun was starting to go on its path for sleep till Adderstrike actually felt her best. When she finally got up she saw flashes around her. It made her jump at first not knowing what the source was till she focused on it and... Was that what they called fireflies? They were so cool!
Both Sharkhail and Waspmeadow showed up promptly, which Fadingstar appreciated. He took off swiftly, heading for Haven Springs. He'd been strongly considering ditching this landmark since they'd returned, but for now he wanted the Clan's focus to be on the new camp and keeping their wits about them.
Territory restructuring would come, but for now it would have to wait.
Upon arriving at the springs, Fadingstar turned toward his patrolmates. "Grab as many cobwebs as you can find. We can never have too many. Meet back here when you're finished."

Sharkhail stayed quiet the whole time. He had nothing to say to these cats and he was going to keep it that way. He searched up and down the springs for cobwebs till he found a fallen log. He swayed his tail seeing that in amusement. The warrior collected the cobwebs till there was none left. With the mighty bounty he hobbled over to the an open spot to sit and wait for the others to be finished.
Even though the sun hadn't yet reached its peak in the sky, it was already hot out. The deputy had asked Sedgeflake to accompany her on a hunt, but so far the findings hadn't been good. Maybe because it was hot outside? The warm weather did feel nice, but Dusklion had never really liked it. Still, the gray she-cat slowed as her paws walked along the rocky edge of the Haven Spring pools until she found a nice, sunny spot. "Might as well take a break here - not sure where all the damn prey is hidin' but wherever it is, we can't find it."
With a huff she plopped down, rolling her shoulders back and lifting her gaze to the bright ball in the sky. Her blue eyes squinted against it, ignoring the better judgement that told her to not. "Wonder if the sun is just another StarClan spirit," she thought out loud, though offered the pondering to Sedgeflake as well. "'S big though - bigger than the stars when they come out. Maybe if it is, whoever it belongs to is the one who created Silverpelt." Existential questions, just a regular old day.
"Bet I can stare at it longer than you can." The challenge to stare directly at the sun longer than Sedgeflake had her grinning, though her squinted gaze remained fixed on the bright yellow ball. Her tail thumped the ground beside her, back and forth.
