crow v fading spar!
Fadingstar headed out into the territory with Crowglow, Moonpaw, and Grimpaw in tow. Even watching a spar could be beneficial for apprentices; it gave them a chance to think of battle differently than they currently might.
After making his way down the mountain and finding a nice, grassy spot to practice, the leader turned to face the warrior and apprentices. "Obviously we'll keep our claws sheathed; we don't need unnecessary injuries right now. Crowglow, attack me when you're ready."

Crowglow nodded and rushed straight ahead before changing directions twice and leaping at Fadingstar. Moonpaw was rooting for Fadingstar while Grimpaw was cheering on Crowglow.

Fadingstar's eyes darted from side to side as Crowglow changed directions twice. It was an interesting move, likely effective in confusing an opponent.
It did disorient the leader some, causing him to be unprepared for Crowglow's leap. The warrior collided with his side, causing him to stumble. Fadingstar twisted, attempting to wrap his front legs around his opponent. If he succeeded, he'd heave Crowglow over him and off him.

Crowglow hadn't seen it coming as he suddenly got thrown off of Fadingstar with surprising speed.
Moonpaw cheered while Grimpaw winced.
