Hunters crouch was the same as the battle crouch. She got that. The molly grew nervous now that they were actually doing this. Doubt creeped into her head, causing her to exhale deeply. She already knew she was going to fail. What if she wasn't good enough? Squeezing her eyes shut she forced herself to calm her nerves down before opening them again. Getting low she got into the crouch.
Lightningpaw- He/Him, 10 moons old, No Purrks, Windclan Apprentice.
Lightningpaw would soon move forward keeping his paws light to try to keep Barleypaw from pinpointing him. Lightningpaw would reach out his paw sheathed to keep her from being hurt. Lightningpaw would aim for a double swipe one on the ear the other on her neck but all the while he kept his claws sheathed to keep from hurting her. (So sorry for this short post as well for how long it took to get to!) @Madelaine @Estelle
@Undertaker @paedyn @Moonraven sorry wasn't sure how to respond and pushed this off too much ack!
Prey sounded nice but Elderberrymint was so tired she wanted somewhere to sleep that was safe but given this older cat's offerings it didn't seem like that was really going to happen. Could she argue this? Maybe... So with that Elderberry dipped her head thankful for at least prey. "Thank you for offering all of this. What happens if I can't find my way back..?" She said with a twinge of worry in her voice. Maybe these cats could point her in the right direction once she got to the border.. Follow the scents, but there was a lot of maybes going on right now that it worried the elder. And maybe she was pushing her luck too far here. The elder glanced towards Bettlescar, leechscar? Somethingscar with a faint smile. They did look smart maybe Elderberrymint shouldn't worry so much.
Then she shook her head to dash away any negative thoughts before looking back to Twilightstar. "Sorry, I suppose worry is something that stick with you... It would be nice if your medicine cat comes over. I don't think I'm hurt though. The only aching I got is my joints from walking so much, but you can't fight age." Elderberrymint laughed softly. Hunger and tiredness was eating at her but did she need someone to look over her for that, prey and sleep should be enough right? The old gears in the elder's brain grind thinking on this while she kept a polite smile.
Fadingdawn tipped her head to the side, her green gaze narrowing slightly. ´´I´m sure someone would help you find your way back,´´ She murmured, not bothering to flash Leechscar a glare, no matter how much she wanted to. Instead, she turned to Twilightstar.
´´Should I fetch Lightningstorm or do you want to take this cat to her?´´
Twigleg led Tigerpaw out into the Territory so that he could learn how to hunt mice. Twigleg felt hunting mice was a basic building block for other creatures. And it could teach the basics of a hunters crouch. This is why Twigleg had decided Tigerpaw would start with a mouse. "Alright Tigerpaw today I will teach you how to perform the hunters crouch. Once we do that maybe you can catch a mouse." Twigleg meowed to Tigerpaw his long tail wasn't twitching as much showing that since they left the camp Twigleg was much more calm than he usually was. @Crown_Sage (This is a continuation from the Training event.)

Tigerpaw nodded importantly. I'll catch a lot of mice! He boasted, grinning at his mentor. He dropped into an inexperienced hunting crouch, and waited for Twigleg.

Twigleg was glad his Apprentice was eager to learn but the crouch they used was atrocious. Still the fault couldn't be entirely on Tigerpaw he was new. Twigleg would shake his head and let out an exasperated sigh. "No no no! Not like that watch me!" Twigleg would meow to Tigerpaw a bit frustrated. Twigleg would get low to the ground his weight on his haunches and his tail off the ground but still to keep him from messing up any leaves or grass. "Try this crouch keeping the weight on your haunches will stop the mouse from feeling your approach from the ground they are sensitive to vibrations. Another thing is keep your tail off the ground but still this will keep you from rustling any grass or leaves on the ground. And finally when approaching your prey move on it slowly but deliberately. And make sure to keep the wind blowing towards you. If the mouse smells you coming it will run. When close enough only then can you pounce." Twigleg explained to Tigerpaw. @Crown_Sage

Re: WindClan Territory
Tigerpaw met his mentor's gaze to show him that he was listening. He crouched lower this time, but struggled to figure out how to keep his weight off his haunches. He narrowed his eyes, facing the mouse quietly.
[Tigerpaw rolls a 2]
The mouse scurried away, feeling the vibration under its paws. Tigerpaw scurried after it, but skid to a stop after it crossed the border. He waddled back to Twigleg and looked down at his paws.
