After doing what he needed to do, sending out the patrol, talking to their great and wonderful leader and all that jazz, Hollowpaw slunk back into the medicine den and offered Risingstorm a weak glare at his insistence for help.
"Hold your horses," he snaps, "can't be everywhere at once." Hollowpaw decides he's going to take his time going to the herb stores... which are quite empty. They have a small amount of cobwebs and poppy seeds, at least, but... yeah, Hollow doesn't grab the poppy seeds, Risingstorm can suffer for being annoying - traumatic attack by a clanmate be damned.
Padding back over, he drops the few cobwebs on the ground and looks over the cuts. Though Risingstorm had washed them out, they were still bleeding a bit, but that was what the cobweb was for.
"If we had any marigold I'd be usin' that first," he explains a little dryly, "but it looks like we're fresh out. Don't got much of anythin' actually, so you're not getting poppy either, just gave our last two seeds to another patient." A lie, they've got enough poppy for Rising, but the warrior doesn't know that, and he doesn't need to either. "Hold still," young medic commands, and, if he was allowed, he'd clean out the wounds a little better, and then patch them up with cobweb to staunch the bleeding.
"That'll be fine for now. If I hear you're pushing yourself and opening those wounds again any time soon you can expect me never to treat you again." It's only half an empty threat, but no one needs to know that.

[ so long as rising doesn't do anything to strenuous and open his wounds again - and he keeps them clean - he should be in the clear to get back to normal warrior duties in a week !! ]
Risingstorm was quite when hollowpaw patched him up he could handle the pain he didn't mind as soon as hollow gave him the all clear he stood up carefully minding his wounds the warrior put his paw to his chin moving it outward, the warrior didn't even realize he signed *thank you* he didn't know if hollowpaw knew it or not rising was probably one of the only cats who knew how to fluently sign he didn't know but he walked out of the meds den towards the leaders den
Elder flowers in their place now, Hollowpaw turns to examine the two kits. He's not exactly sure what he's looking for to be honest, when he'd brought them into the den, they'd been lethargic and had fevers, coughing up a storm when they actually were awake. Now, as he looks at them, pressing his nose into both Cinderkit and Skykit's sides, feeling the rasping of their tiny breaths.
There hadn't been much improvement, in fact, Hollowpaw couldn't confidently say there had been any improvement at all. But... he didn't think it was greencough quite yet, so they still probably had time.
Cinderkit is faring the worse of the two, so Hollowpaw starts with her. Grabbing the elder flowers from the whole plant Snakepaw oh so smartly dug up, the medic pops one of the flower clumps off the plant.
"Open up, Cinderkit," he says in a low voice, typical icy exterior shrugged off in order to deal with the two kits. They're hardly younger than he is... how is he going to be responsible for saving their lives all on his own? "I need you to eat these flowers, okay? They're gonna help with your fever." He shoves the little white flowers closer to the kit, urging her to eat, and turns his attention again to Skykit, offering her some elder flowers of her own before ensuring that they cooperated and ate the herbs, all the while wishing he had something better than just elder flowers...

Cinderkit looked up, eyes glazed with fever as she fell into a coughing fit, her little body shaking at the impact of meer air. Cinderkit's blue eyes hues looked at Hollowpaw, she was now reaching 3 moons, just barely used to the clan. Cinderkit gave a small moan of pain, attempting to sit up but just slipping back into her spot. She gave a whine at the herb, eyes indifferent and scared. "Mommy" Cinderkit managed to whimper. Once she'd registered the order, she obidently yet weakly opened her small grey maw. Ginger paws battling with one another as her body racked once more with harsh, raspy coughs. Some phlem spilling out of her mouth as she did so. Cinderkit ate the herb, chewing slowly and whimpering with a mouth full, "It hurts to eat..... to swallow......"

"I don't care if it hurts, if you don't swallow the flowers, you're just gonna get worse an' there'll be nothin' I can do for you," the apprentice herbalist points out bluntly. What use is being patient? He can't help if the kits can't even swallow. And, if they didn't eat the elder flower, there really wasn't a single other thing Hollowpaw knew how to do.
"Skykit, you need to eat those, I don' wanna force them down your throat." While Cinderkit's condition seemed to be worse, Skykit would also rapidly decline if she didn't eat the damn flowers. An odd feeling of anxiety that Hollowpaw wasn't used to flooded him as he watched Cinderkit's coughing fit, the phlegm that built up in her throat. On a whim, he grabbed a bit of moss from a nearby nest, seeing as there wasn't any in the stores and soaked it in water before bringing it over to the kits... he could rebuild that nest later. "Here," he says, nudging the mossball close to them both, "you should drink some water while we're here, I don' need you getting dehydrated too."

Cinderkit coughed, lapping at the water. Whimpering as she swallowed, it hurt so much! But Cinderkit knew she had to do it..... or she wouldn't get better. She took the flower in her mouth, scrunching up her nose and chewing it, gagging once but eventually hawking it down. "My throat hurtssssss" Cinderkit whimpered, her throat felt raw, she could taste the blood. It hurt, it stung. It was all dumb! Cinderkit fell into a coughing fit, racking her small body with a small spasm as she gasped for air. Finally regaining a steady breathing after a moment that might've seemed to long.

Risingstorm walked in with the bloody apprentice getting blood on his back "Wolfpaw hollowpaw" the warrior called out "I- Cottonpaw needs help, like now" he meowed placing the bloody apprentice down "I don't know what happened but I think its when the tree feel down and, I don't know" he mewoed the warrior was trying to make sure cotten didnt die so he hoped that the medcat and hollowpaw could help

Skykit wasn't really awake. Just half drifting. She heard what was going on, but her body didn't seem to be able to respond to what she wanted, which was to drink, and have the flowers. They might be good.
