He went and buried the prey next to a tree as he listened to the warrior speak, instantly looking to her as she gave the opportunity to try and catch something perhaps more difficult.

A swampier area was practically next to them, and frogs would be there.
"There should be some ov'r here." She said, heading over to the more muddy bit.

"They smell middy, but in a diff'rent way than actual mud."

He followed the warrior to the swampier area. So…frogs. He had eaten them but never actually caught them for himself. He wasn’t a huge fan of their taste, but whatever to that. He listened inventively to BloomingBlaze as she explained their scent, then scenting the air himself.

“Is there a certain way you catch them?” he questioned curiously.

Hmmm.
Specific ways to catch frogs...

"Well, th're slimy l'il things, so you really gotta get y're claws in." Bloomingblaze explained "And th're fast, so ya' gotta make sure they don't notice ya' in the slightest. Most ya' can get if the notice ya' last second, but frogs? Things'll be outta reach before b'fore StarClan could smite a cat."
Weird analogy, but it was the first one she thought of.
StarClan probably doesn't even do much smiting, but if they did, it probably would be pretty quick.

Bloomingblaze smiled.
"No problem!"

The large tortoiseshell then checked to see if she could smell a frog nearby.
There were a few.
Well, good practice.

She locked onto one once she spotted it, and crouched.
She put each paw down carefully, careful not to make a sound.
Good thing frogs aren't very smart, or it might've noticed her brightly colored coat that does not camouflage very well.

As she creeped closer, her claws were already unsheathed so she was ready to get good grip on it.

Bloomingblaze pounced, teeth and claws sinking into the frog before it knew what was going on.
As soon as it was dead, she found a quick spot to bury it.

"You good to try?" She asked Spiderpaw patiently.

Alright—claws out, be as quiet as possible, quick pounce? He could do that. He responded “yep” when the warrior questions if he was good to try. He got a good smell of the frog she had caught so he got that part down. He scented the air, turning into the direction of where another frog appeared to be and took careful steps until he spotted it. He then went into a crouch, carefully stalking it. He was about to pounce when he saw its eye twitch over to his direction. Mouse-dung. He threw himself off the ground and into the air, hoping there was a chance he’d still make it (but there wasn’t). Once he landed it was far gone. “Rats” he hissed to himself.

"It's alright!" She said "We'll just look for 'nother."
Bloomingaze took a look around.
Yeah, no, there was definitely more, she could hear them.

Hell, he was disappointed in himself, but he did his best to hide that. It wasn’t that big of a deal, and he shouldn’t make it that! He did his best to cheer himself up as he faced the warrior, this time without any prey in his jaw. “Uh—yeah. Yeah okay.” he gave a short nod, scenting the air again to find another frog.

The kid didn't seem too happy about missing on the first try.
Should she say something reassuring?
Usually, she was absolutely no good at that kind of thing.
Plus, she should probably stay quiet for now so he could catch the frogs.

She spotted one sitting half-submerged in mud.
She didn't say anything, it would be better for Spiderpaw's experience if he noticed it himself.
