Mistyshard couldn't be found? Concern flickered over Irisfrost's face; Berrypaw was still an apprentice. She couldn't handle an entire clan's healing by herself. But again, this wasn't the first time an apprentice had been forced into the role of sole medicine cat, was it? She just had to hope that they would be able to locate Mistyshard; that he wouldn't be gone forever like Bearsnout. She had given up hope of finding her brother when RiverClan had left their temporary territory. Ironic, that by returning home she would lose the cat closest to her.

Of course, there was always the chance that Mistyshard wasn't lost after all, just scarce enough around camp that the deputy hadn't seen her. In many ways that would be worse; it would mean that she was another failed medicine cat in a long line of disappointments. At least she could have peace that Bearsnout would never let down his clan like that. He might be dead or just injured, but he wouldn't abandoned RiverClan.

She had been put on a hunting patrol at Haven Springs with Oliverat and Floodsight. Padding over to where the two warriors were already gathered, she dipped her head to them in greeting. "I hope I'm not late. Are we ready?"

Snowstripe nodded to honey n replied " it's okay maybe they was doing some training or something. Might just be getting back. Poppy seeds n cobwebs are what we will need to find n show them. They are good things to know where they are at all times." @Fish

stars, wormbite felt for berrypaw - truly. to have your mentor fumble on you in relatively important moments was the terrible (even worse when it came to the expectations medicine cats had placed on them) but to say he was anything but dreading another herb patrol would be a complete and utter lie. he buried his face into his paws, holding back a groan at the thought of enduring the nauseating scent of marigold.

honestly, wormbite felt far more suited for hunting but nonetheless he had a task. furthermore, he was interested in seeing if he could find a few more useful herbs. he only wished their scent didn't bring him back to the Pit.

with a sigh, the white speckled cat pushed himself up and limped to the entrance. he took a seat and awaited his patrolmates.

Foxleap stood secluded from his clanmates but close enough to catch Dusklion's instruction. And he couldn't help but feel sorry for Berrypaw, wondering why she was left to deal with everything by herself. He was glad he could be a part of the patrols and help by hunting for herbs, but... The expression over his typically cheerful maw began to sour as he glanced down at his paws. Paranoia washed over his fur as the hair on his back stood up a bit, wondering if Mistyshard was a traitor of some sort. With all the betrayals that have happened lately, Foxleap couldn't help but feel slightly paranoid and guarded. His gleaming honey colored eyes began surveying his fellow clanmates from afar and his pupils narrowed into watchful slits before suddenly shaking his head to snap himself out of his hyper vigilant trance. First step to helping Berrypaw, find your patrolmates and get ready to head out. Nodding to Dusklion's words in approval, his leapt from his haunches and out from the shadows.

The 20 moon, fox patterned tom cat bounded from the secluded shaded area and his ears suddenly perked once he caught Wormbite near the entrance. Foxleap greeted Wormbite with a respectful and brief bow of his head before flashing his fellow warrior and clanmate a warm, toothy smile. "It's an honor to be herb huntin' with ya, Wormbite." The tom cat purred as his bushy white tipped tail swayed in content.

Lionpaw bounded over at the call of her name - her first patrol!! Finally, a legal avenue to explore the territory, even if this wasn't really their territory. As she joined her patrolmates she glanced between them, trying to get a read since she still didn't know very many of the warriors, except maybe by name. Her ears flicked at Foxleap's comment - an honor? - and she looked back at Wormbite, brows raised curiously. "Are you, like... super cool or something?" He certainly looked cool and maybe a little scary with his scars and everything - maybe he was a super heroic warrior or something. The apprentice figured she oughta know if she was going on patrol with someone very important so she could act accordingly.

It had taken a moment for the warrior to finish scarfing down his rather scraggly bird, and he'd expected his patrol mates to be waiting for him by the time he arrived. Instead, neither were in sight. He growled, scanning the clearing with a single amber eye. Perhaps it was hypocritical of him to be impatient at their tardiness, but that's just what he was in the mood for being.

"Redwater! Spiraltail!" he snarled, deep voice ringing through camp. "We're heading out NOW," he commanded with irritation, tail lashing. He was in a terrible mood, to say the least.

Spiraltail bounded over somehow he had gotten caught up and had been late not exactly the start he wanted but he would have to work with it.He slowed his run down to a jog once he gotten closer to Beastflame his eyes took in the cat “Sorry I’m late got caught up”he said with a apologetic tone

Redwater had been licking her paws in a shady corner. Her head had been down low, and her shoulders hunched. The very definition of Leave-me-alone body language. Of course, her Clanmates obviously had no sympathy, and decided she should go out and do work for them. When she was feeling worse than any of them. I’ll call today a bad day. she thought pessimistically. her ragged red fur dropped as she stood and worked her way through the crowd. She didn’t even make eye contact. Kept her eyes lowered and her mouth shut.
