While Rosekit was close to apprenticeship, she was still quite young and didn't quite understand what death meant. I thought clanmates are supposed to help each other...is something wrong? She wondered what would happen to the traitor when they got caught. Why would anyone wanna kill Fadingstar. She knew there was a little bit of unease in the clan but what about the warrior code? She frowned as the meeting finished and she went on to do something else.

Dusklion started to recount the story, and Irisfrost glanced at the cats around them to try to gauge their reactions. She had been there, but the others had not. Most looked shocked. Alarmed. Angry. No sign of another traitor there, as far as she could tell. They were all united in their fury at the traitor who had lived alongside them and now had tried to take out the cat keeping them stable, whether they liked Fadingstar or not. A rare moment in the so often deeply divided clan.

After giving a warning of what the fate of any cat who attempted treason would be, Dusklion dismissed the meeting. Irisfrost was about to stand up and leave when the deputy sought her and Beastflame out. We're going traitor hunting. Glad she had been chosen for such a role (even if it was only because she had been on the patrol that found Fadingstar), Irisfrost padded after Dusklion with newfound determination. The deputy didn't look sick anymore. She was out for vengeance; Irisfrost knew she wouldn't hesitate to rip her claws through the traitor's pelt. And neither would she.

Goldfish had arrived at the meeting slightly late. And before she knew it Dusklion began speaking. Great, murder. Sarcasm of course. She dug her claws slightly into the earth. Bad bad very bad. A small voice in her head told her that she would be next. Why? The Ace of Spades was unsure. But before she could react the meeting ended and she padded off.

"Hello, Duskleaf." She said "Everything at Saltmeadow Marsh was pretty unchanged, except for some bramble that Willowtail noticed was broken in an odd way."
She left room for Willowtail to add on, if she would like to.
Falconflight could also add anything he would like to add, up to those two if they wanted to speak.

Willowtail nodded, "Yeah. It was flattened down as if a cat sized creature fell on it, I was going to assume an apprentice but the sap was still coming from the branch so it had to be recent. " Willowtail reported, blinking.
Willowtail's ears perked as Fadingstar's assassination attempt was mentioned, she looked at Caveclaw and mewed, "Good luck"
The small she-cat looked at Duskleaf and sighed gently, dipping her head to Duskleaf. Willowtail looked after Caveclaw for a moment before turning to Dsukleaf again, "Duskleaf, do you think I could talk to you about something?"

Softkit turned her head, looking at Duskkit. Great! she thought, Now I don't have to be alone to hear Dusklion. She didn't want to be alone. In her opinion, she should never be alone. There should always be someone for her to be with!

"I don't know," Softkit responded. "Maybe we're going back to our old camp?" That would be very good, if they were going back. She couldn't believe that Fadingstar had let them get driven out in the first place. If she were leader, she would've never let that happen! Softkit wanted to see the camp; she'd heard so much about it.

Right, that's why they were even here in the first place.
Makes it weird when you were born in the other, more mountainy camp.
Ugh, she didn't like the idea of it.
"Maybe-" She started, but she stopped as soon as Dusklion started talking.

Someone had tried to... kill the leader?
Well that sounds like a bad cat.
If she ever found that cat, she'd pummel them then and there!

Aaaand then they were leaving to go look for the cat.
Man, how she wished she could go with.
"What now?" She quietly asked Softkit.

A shiver made its way down Waspmeadow's spine. An assassination attempt? On Fadingstar? Her eyes darted around to her clanmates, and then back at Dusklion. She could hear the annoyance in her voice, and felt the same; Waspmeadow noticed that her claws had unconsciously unsheathed, and her fur began to stand on end. She looked down at her paws, and grumbled under her breath, "We have to find this traitor."

Seakit stayed close to her mama. She watched as the crowd became outraged. Why were they upset? She sat there thoughtfully. Traitor.. What? ...

"What is happening?" She looked up at her mother, wide eyed. "Traitor?"


This little kit did not know what to think about this. She knew what the word meant, but she was unsure why someone would betray the clan. The kit wiggled closer to her mother. Seakit was uncomfortable with the thought of a traitor. Scary.

Nutkit flattened his ears. He could smell the anger radiating throughout the area. Wriggling away from the others he started slowly for the nursery area, back to the underwhelming milky scents. Rainingpaw pulled him closer.

Rainingpaw didn't know how to feel. Angry ,tired ,annoyed ,afraid. She pulled Nutkit closer. She looked around the clearing, absently murmuring a thanks as the kit handed her a smooth pebble. She hoped that nobody was helping Aspensplash.

Bravebolt perked his ears at the news. Poisonous berries in general were a concern. What if instead of teaching cats which berries are poisonous we teach them what we know is not so cats then avoid the various other berries they can not eat and just eat what theyknow for sure they can eat?, He thought. He could maybe, try to work with that. He tapped Nutkit on his left hind leg with his right foresaw. Race ya. He took off running as Nutkit easily leapt ahead.

Sweetsap licked Seakit's ears gently. "It's ok darling, someone that used to be apart of Riverclan decided to try and play fight with Fadingstar! Foolish hmm, but no need to be scared darling, I'm here to protect you and your big sister is as well." Sweetsap purred soothingly. Flicking her tail gently and watching. Sweetsap felt Seakit cuddling close to her, she wrapped her tail around him gently and used the fluffy tip of her tail to stroke his back, similar to how a mother would scratch her babies back to help it sleep.

Softpaw gently padded over, she settled beside her little brother and mother. "Don't worry Seakit, sense I'm training to be a warrior, I can make sure no cat trys to hurt you, not that they could. One look and they'd melt your so cute!" Softpaw cooed her little brother, purring playfully.
