garlicfish was the first warrior to approach him. he gave a small nod of acknowledgment, only offering up a vague, "wherever we enter, " reply to their question. he stood there for a long period of time, getting ready to leave until rowanmane finally appeared and joined them in silence. he was surprised to see the tom made it. wormbite without another word headed out of the abandoned den, tufted tail flickering for them to both to follow.

the scent of home flooded his scents — along with the scent of distant intruders that weaved through the land like a plague. his expression turned into a grimace, muscles tensing under his pelt. "be on your guard, there may sstill be pestss lurking. sspread out and sstart sscenting but keep within hearing distance, " he finally spoke, beginning to head forward.

wormbite would start to brush against the trees and evergreen, remarking riverclan's scent.

The tom followed not too far behind the other two warriors (which was hard cause he was hella achey). He did his best to push his physical issues aside though cause he- the clan- was finally home. He had just got to be one of the first cats to experience it. Sure there could be dangers lurking around, but a surge of feelings filled him. Home. Two moons had felt like forever now that he’s finally here.

He decided not to say anything cause his damned jaw would ruin it all, the infection in it kept a solid throbbing and burning sensation that he didn’t enjoy one bit.

He took a few steps away from the group, going the opposite direction then GarlicFish had and scented the air, taking careful steps around. It seemed to be okay but who knew what was lurking deeper in? Either way, RiverClan had to establish their return, and he followed in Wormbites activity in marking their territory.

He didn’t want it too but his mind kept wandering as he did so. His mind hadn’t done much of that in the mountains cause he was always on guard. Here, even though it stank of the other monsters clans, he felt a sudden peace in being back home. So- what would he do back in the abandoned den? Perhaps be more family-oriented?…Probably not with his own daughter, he’d tried to avoid that…but he should give her a chance right? She didn’t even know it was him…Or maybe he should spend time with his sister! That was better, he’d felt bad of not spending more time with the she. OwlTalon was busy though as a Lionheart and all…that complexed things. Dammit why was family and clan life so hard?

"Alright let's get the move on then!~" Honeystep said in her typical sweet voice. It felt nice to be able to get out of that twoleg nest. It just felt wrong for a cat to not be able to feel the grass on their paws. It made her wonder why some cats lived in those, she even heard stories that some cats lived in them all their lives! No wonder there were so many 'outdoor' kittypets and so many wanted to join the clans.

Once they got out into the territory, Honeystep kept her eyes peeled for any of the herbs they needed. Poppy seeds and cobwebs. The most basic herbs ever. Wondering around for a little bit she found a log that had an old spiders web. Nice! She got a stick and gathered the webs up. +2 cobwebs

Now what else could she find out here? Well, it wasn't before long that she stumbled upon a beautiful red flower. Ah here we are! Quickly the shecat gathered as many seeds she could. +3 poppy seeds

Snowstripe seen another red flower and grabbed it and smiled as it felt amazing to touch grass again. She hated that two leg nest they had to be in. She looked at Honeystep and the apprentice wandering how he was fairing.

After he saw Honeystep get some cobwebs, he spotted some on a very close push.

He grabbed them.

Snowstripe smiled at beaverpaw and looked at Honeystep. The team seemed to be doing well gathering the herbs that was needed.
Snow spotted a few cobwebs on another bush and got some more looking at the haul of stuff they was going to be getting she nodded and then looked to them smiling adding three more cobwebs to the stack.

| sorry to cut this so close to the deadline ! wouldve responded sooner but i did not know it was my turn ;0;
it was pleasant to be back within the confinements of his home. he had missed it so, considering the clans had so rudely kicked them out rather soon after his return he hadn't gotten much time to relish in it. the freedom. it had many moons since wormbite had became a free man again — but sometimes he found himself struggling to see that. the experience of living in the past and the present simultaneously was not one of new. negative memories upon memories that stacked upon itself until it became a tangled ball within his chest. unraveling at reminders. it always eventually became knotted again.

he walked and walked for a long stretch of time. riverclan's territory was far from small. he marked and he marked, short & scarred fur brushing against bark & bushes. by the end of it the sky had turned a warm orange. night would be upon them soon. his legs ached, throbbing painfully - and wormbite still had the walk back. stars, he knew his activity had been limited but the lack of it seemed to have a dire effect on the strength of his limbs.

a tired sigh escaped him, closing his eyes briefly to soak in his home one last time. "alright, garlicfish - rowanmane! finish up what you are doing and let us head back, " wormbite called out, awaiting for the warriors to gather with him. thankfully, this was patrol seemed to be successful. he had his doubts originally.

the moment the two warriors appeared and were ready wormbite would start the trekt back to the abandoned twoleg den.

He had wandered quite a bit, determined as ever to mark this territory as RiverClans agin. They should never ever get their own home taken from them again. He tried to keep his mind straight on the task but for some reason he saw this as the first time in moons he could finally think.

He perked his ears whenever he had heard the more senior warrior call himself and the other cat back to head to the abandoned den. A sigh of disappointment left him as he soaked in the territory. Sure—he knew they’d be back, but it was nice to be one of the first cats to see it again, and he wouldn’t be back for a while. Oh but home sweet home!

“Alrigh’, no predators, no recen’ other clan rats…i’s pre’y much clear!” he said, glad their territory hadn’t been infested.
