He tried to change subject. “This area is incredibly different from the place before.” It probably would be rude to ask why they would chose this side. Despite his doubts that this place was worth living he still wanted to give it a chance. His new friends live here he has to give it a chance. Calling it weird would be calling them weird.
Arc bared his teeth. Shut up you good for nothing clan cat! He growled, his cold stare boring into Marshstrike's fur.
Marshstrike frowned. "Oh. I'm a clan cat, huh? Well, am I after I attempted to kill the leader, killed my family, got exiled, and hunted down by the leader himself?" He meowed harshly and walked forward.

I wonder the same things myself. Arc thought, rolling his eyes. It's not much. He got out. But it's what we can call home. He continued forward, not meeting the creepy gaze of Marshstrike.
