Wildpaw took a deep breath. "Wormkit I gotta tell you something but I need you to promise not to hate me ok?" Wildpaw got scared to tell Wormkit but she knew she had to eventually. "Wormkit I like you. You've always been there for me and never judged me and I've liked you for a while now I've just been too scared to tell you. But I thought you should know." Wildpaw ended it like that then she started thinking of a million ways she just messed that up.

She shook her head clear from all the thoughts. "I completely understand if you don't wanna hang out anymore." she mewed nervously. @seeingstars

Wormkit laughed it off at first, what could she possibly say that would make him hate her? The Shadowclan kit tilted his head curiously "yeah for sure, I could never hate you, what's up?" He asked softly, flashing a reassuring smile.

The next words out of her mouth caused the tom to tense up, a nervous laugh escaping his maw. He cursed itself in it's head before speaking "i uh-" It cut itself off, not sure where it was even going with that sentence. What could it even say to that? He sucked air in through his teeth before exhaling.

He wasn't really sure how to explain that it didn't know how it felt in the first place. Wormkit sighed softly, finally breaking the painful silence "I like you too, you're really cool" He said with a forced smile, his tail twitching nervously.

Wildpaws eyes widened in shock. "you....you do?" she mewed still in shock she didn't know if Wormkit was kidding to make her feel better or if Wormkit actually did feel the same way. Either way she was in shock. @seeingstars

Oh starclan she was serious, this wasn't some friends i like you think. Oh no, nononononononono oh no. What was he supposed to do? What was he supposed to say, he could keep playing off being oblivious but how long could he keep that up.

More silence passed, once more awkwardness set in between the two, he sucked air in through his teeth once more before speaking "Y-yeah- Of course. We've been friends since we were both born, basically" He said, with a non-committal shrug and a casual smile.

Thus began the giant hole he was digging for his future, of course he didn't know this. A pang of guilt clawed at his stomach as he looked on at his life long friend. How badly could this end for them anyways? they were just young apprentices at this point. He managed to convince himself this was harmless.

Wildpaw didn't know what to say she felt like she should have just waited until they were warriors but she really liked Worm. "so uh..." she didn't know what to say she was in shock her friend felt the same way. @seeingstars

Is this what going crazy felt like? He felt nervous and out of place. Nothing felt comforting right now and he wanted nothing more than to get out of this situation. He swallowed nervously, his ears perking up as he fake heard a cat calling them

"Did you hear that?" He asked in a hushed tone, his gaze narrowing as it settled on her. It knew there was no one there, but it wasn't sure just how much she'd believe it. The smoky black Shadowclan kit looked towards camp "I think it came from camp... i hope we're not in trouble" he said solemnly.

After a moment of waiting he darted off towards camp, a forced smile on his maw as his thoughts replayed the last 3 minutes on repeat. He hated how confused and scary this all felt. He'd never felt scared before, danger meant nothing to him. Why was this making him want to puke?

A frustrated sigh escaped his maw as he kept his gaze locked in front of him as he began the return to camp. It's glance behind it occasionally to see if she was following him, not wanting to just abandon her despite wanting to simply disappear.

Wildpaw walked back to camp. But was going slower than normal she was too distracted by the weird feeling of doubt. Once she reached the camp entrance looked at an orange flower. She picked it started playing with it. @seeingstars
