Box let out a sigh when he felt her tail. I won’t have to fight them. He followed her to the twoleg den. His nose scrunched up when he got a whiff of the their shelter. “Yuck.” He took a step in. The stench may have detoured him for a second but he was still curious what the inside of one of these looked like. He glanced at Snow. “The clouds can’t get us in here.” He didn’t like seeing her so nervous.

Snow shook her head. "Stink." She meowed and gestured around the den. She stuck out her tongue and scented the air for a sign of a rabbit or perhaps a mouse.

Box stepped deeper in. The musty air made him shiver. At least it was better then outside. He glanced back at the opening. He didn’t like how the grey clouds loomed. His ears twitched when he heard some rustling in one of the rooms. He dropped into a crouch and stepped towards the sound.

[Just giving you a heads up I might not be able to reply tomorrow. Though I don’t know for sure yet.]

Snow ran behind him, ears twitching at the rumbling in the distance. She watched as Box dropped into a crouch. "Hunt?" Snow asked softly as to not disturb whatever was in the bushes.

Box nodded. “Might be a mouse!” His mouth watered at the thought. Mouse was his favorite, although there weren’t many options. He sniffed the air he didn’t recognize the smell. He slowly moved to the door. His heart pounded. He took a deep breath and stepped into the next room.

Snow giggled excitedly. "Yum!" She meowed and ran in a circle. "Eat mouse! Eat mouse!" Snow meowed happily but quietly. She paused and watched as the storm clouds rolled in slowly.

Box stepped into the next room. His eyes searching for the mouse. ”Mouse…” His eyes locked onto their target. It was a little gray mouse sniffing through the house. He crawled closer getting into position. He breathed in deeply preparing for his leap. I’ve got this!

Snow looked around as lightning brighyly lit the sky. She yelped and scented the air. " Danger. " Snow meowed quietly, so quiet that her brother couldn't hear her. She twitched her ears nervously and looked at a large tree.

Box jumped at the loud sound of the lightning. Once he regained his senses he looked backed at the mouse. To his disappointment it had disappeared. ”I missed it.” He glanced at Snow. “Sorry. Maybe there’ll be more in the other rooms.” His eyes wandered to the other doorways. He shivered. Creepy.
