The pain quickly passed and was replaced with protective rage. She took a step forward, ears pinned back and lips drawn back in a fierce snarl. “You fox-hearted piece of filth! How dare you!” She snarled, hackles raised aggressively. Her eyes still showed her devastation, this was not how she wanted Lionscar to find out. Even the beauty of the fireflies was ruined by this fleabag.

It's pretty obvious your mate here is just too dumb to realize it and I came here 'cause I wanna see the look on his face when he finds out! He hissed. Lionscar stood there trying to figure out what Flamemane was talking about. "Heathernose what's he talking about what are you hiding?" he mewed curiously. Flamemane backed up when Heathernose got closer. Then something hit Lionscar. "Wait... do you not like me or something? If that's what you're hiding you can just tell me." he mewed in a scared tone. He loved her and would do anything for her but if she didn't like him then why is she hiding it. Go on. Tell him. Tell Lion your secret. Flamemane mewed with a smirk. @Luna16

Heathernose narrowed her eyes at Flamemane in a furious glare. How dare he do this! She looked at Lionscar with her jaw gaped open, how could he think something like that? What a disaster! “No Lionscar! Of course not!” She meowed, touching her nose to his cheek. “How could you even think that? I love you!” She looked him straight in the eyes, wanting him to understand and believe her.

She took a step back, shuffling her paws with uncertainty. “This isn’t really how I wanted you to find out…” She mumbled, shooting another glare at Flamemane. Great StarClan he was such a nuisance!

Heathernose narrowed her eyes in a glare at Flamemane. She was so tired of his meddling... But it didn't seem like there would be any other option. "You're a pain in the tail you know that?" She hissed at Flamemane.

She looked back to Lionscar, her gaze softening. She was still heartbroken that this was how he would find out, but it didn't seem like she had much choice. Might as well get on with it... She took a deep breath. "Lionscar..." She meowed, looking up at him with warmth in her eyes. She took a few pawsteps forward toward Lionscar, trying to ignore Flamemane's presence. "I- We're...We're expecting kits." A purr rumbled in her throat. She hadn't said it out loud yet, and she loved saying it. But she was also nervous. What would Lionscar's response be? And why was Flamemane so set on being present for this?

Heathernose's ears flicking was the only sign of her annoyance at Flamemane right now. She brushed her muzzle against Lionscar's, purring. "I hoped you would be!" She purred, relieved.

Then she turned her gaze back to Flamemane, now confused as well as still annoyed with him. "What do you mean? Why wouldn't he be happy?" She retorted, narrowing her eyes suspiciously at Flamemane. This better not be another of his antics to torment Lionscar. Heathernose could feel the urge to unsheathe her claws, but she held back. She should hear what Flamemane has to say first, he was Lionscar's kin after all...regrettably.

Heathernose promptly held her tail up for Lionscar to wait a moment. Something was different here, usually Flamemane was more...uncivil and threatening. Now he was holding a conversation without unsheathing claws. "What about you then?" She asked pointedly. "You were pretty set on being around when I told Lionscar, so what about you? How do you feel about us having kits?" She was honestly curious as to the tom's motives now, and possibly a little hopeful that maybe Flamemane was changing...maybe. Possibly. Only StarClan knows...
