Greenleaf was in full swing, and that meant a lot of critters and insects were out and about. Birdpaw had never seen Greenleaf bugs before, as this was her first Greenleaf. Birdpaw's favorite bugs were caterpillars, but it seemed like that a lot of caterpillars had disappeared. In their place a lot of very colorful and pretty bugs fluttered about. They seemed to like the marsh flowers and would land on the bushes surrounding camp. Birdpaw was eyeing a particularlly pretty yellow one, tail lashing behind her as she imagined how it would taste...

to some, being kicked out of the nursery would inspire some self-reflection. perhaps one was supposed to think about what they had done wrong, or form some sort of apology to give to the siblings who had kicked them out (it wasn't her fault that they were just sleeping around completely open to a sneak attack, okay?), but not cranekit. rather, golden eyes quickly fell upon a waving tail and she crept forwards, preparing to strike. but oh? the apprentice was looking at something, some strange fluttering insect with pretty wings.

the fascination with birdpaws tail fell away and she crept up besides the apprentice, gaze stuck on the insect. "can we catch it?" or, better question: would it taste good?
