"Live with you? But didn't you say it was dangerous?" Fluffy asks. He was bored, but that didn't mean he found being dragged off by big birds appealing. "Can't you stay here instead?"

In his mind, he found that option more appealing; no deaths, they would both be fed and happy, and he wouldn't need to be bored by himself anymore. They could occasionally sneak out if they really wanted to stretch their paws, too. And again, Midnight could teach him how to catch fish. He would like that.

Fluffy hesitates. He may be a kit, but he's not an idiot. Even if Midnight taught him all she knew, she also mentioned there were birds so big they could even carry her away. The wild will naturally not be completely safe, no matter what they do. But another part of him feels like this was a big chance for him. Maybe even his only chance, to finally be free of his boring, stressful life.

No more being stuck scrabbling the door, pleading for a chance to go out, no more mind-numbing days being stuck in a small room for hours and hours at a time, no more meowing to cats who do nothing except sleep and eat all day without responding...

"Do I have to answer now?" Fluffy asks, "Can I think about it?" He sounds scared.

(His owner is nice, feeds him on time, cares about him, etc, just very busy. And he has no real company cuz the other cats are all elderly and neutered and don't want to bother with a kit.)

" You can take some time to think. Just a heads up. You've heard of the Cutter right? Well if they try and take ya away to the Cutter, R.U.N. The Cutter makes it to where you will never be able to have kits ever. "

"Never have kits?" Fluffy repeats, "The Cutter? That sounds horrible!" Come to think of it, he'd heard the word multiple times before- not from the Twolegs, they couldn't talk, but rather from one of the neighbors that lived nearby. It was them who told Fluffy to beware of the wildcats.

Fluffy still remembered them. It was on the week Fluffy arrived to the neighborhood, and Fluffy hadn't known them long. His biggest memory was the cat being dragged off, screaming, claws out, to somewhere they called the Cutter's, and coming back smelling foreign and bitter, and now quiet and dull. His neighbor had never really been much fun after that happened. Though Fluffy had just assumed they just didn't like him anymore, now he thought there might be something more to it.

No way. Fluffy was not going to go through that, never ever. "I haven't done it before, but I can try," He meows in response to Midnight's question. He could already tell Midnight's scent, standing out against the smoke and chemicals of the Twoleg place. He takes in another deep sniff to memorize it.

On the bright side, maybe the Cutters wouldn't happen. His owner was a nice Twoleg, and Fluffy trusted him.

(Lmao, poor Fluffy will be discovered after a few weeks crying and running over to Midnight. Goodbye for now.)
