Wolfhive awoke to the sound of thunder and the pitter-patter of rain drops against the side of Bumba's log. He blinked, clearing away sleepiness when a cold sensation touched his paws - and he withdrew them quickly. Water was seeping into the den.

It wasn't flood-level by far, but it definitely was uncomfortable. Wolfhive groaned in frustration - another issue?? He hoped the other den's were faring, the rainfall was growing heavier.

Wolfhive didn't fancy going out in the storm but knew he ought to check up on the other dens. And thank spirits he did, because while most dens seemed fine - a little leaky but nothing dangerous - Wolfhive could see where rain had broken through the ferns and grass that enforced the apprentice den. Risingstorm's den repair skills left something to be desired! The den was beginning to cave in.

Instinctively, that meant Wolfhive had to go inside it. If someone got stuck he could probably haul them out ... or hold the wall up.. or something. "Apprentices, OUT! Regroup in the elders' den!"

What's Going On??

Heavy rainfall is causing the apprentice den to collapse! It has not fully caved in yet, but is visibly sinking. Wolfhive is instructing the apprentices to evacuate and enter the elders' den as that den is safe.

No other dens will be majorly impacted by this storm - at worst they should have minor leaks or need simple repairs. The camp is not actually flooding; the apprentice den was not properly repaired and cannot handle the extreme weather.

Apprentice participation is expected. Even if they're not in the den, they should probably know it's collapsed! Other ranks are free to react to the storm, the collapse, etc. but kits should not try to assist with the apprentice den or Wolfhive might eat u.

Post-event, feel free to have your cats get sick with symptoms similar to Whitecough/Greencough. Be aware Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw aren't very experienced healers and your cat may not survive a visit with them if the symptoms are severe enough!

This is based after the emergency Clan meeting.

Willowpaw heard the sound of heavy rain outside followed by Wolfhives voice. She looked around and all the other apprentices then followed. She padded to the elders den, shivering and wet.

UGGH, his fur was soaked!
He felt like a sopping wet ball of moss.

He was glad to hear it when Wolfhive called them out to move to the Elder's den for now.
So, he did exactly that, and he moved quickly, not wanting to be in the rain long.

Waking up to bad den conditions was not her favorite thing in the world.
She listened to Wolfhive when he had called them out.

But, she quickly looked back to check if Sunpaw and Stormpaw were in sight as well.
She would prefer to know where they are.

Alpinepaw slowly regained her consciousness in the Apprentices' Den soon after Wolfhive noticed the den was about to cave in. Apparently after the emergency meeting, somebody carried her off to the den. She opened her eyes and saw the wet den. Alpinepaw was a bit damp and she thought, "How did I get back here? All I remember is Bumblestar and the Hornets attacking the coyotes and the aftermath. Did Wolfhive carry me back?"

The young apprentice wanted to get up but she couldn't. Perhaps, all the shock made her limp and tired. She realized that she was in danger of being squashed and called out for help.

Brackenclaw was fast asleep in the Warriors Den enjoying the warmth until he felt something cold and wet drop ontop of his head he would jolt awake looking up just in time for a second drop to hit his nose. He shook himself trying to dry off but that's when his ears would swivel a bit picking up slightly on Wolfhive calling for the evacuation of the Apprentices den. Immediately his mind went towards his Apprentice Mothpaw he should probably check to see what was happening. Brackenclaw shuddered at the thought of going outside when he saw the pouring rain but he steeled himself and would venture forth his eyes able to make out the collapsed form of the Apprentices den. He would run over to Wolfhive with a bit of alarm in his voice. "Anyone injured? Do you need any help?" Brackenclaw meowed trying to raise his voice over the roaring of the storm. @BEAR. (Is it okay to mention you here?)
