Fluffy takes a big bite of the fish. It tasted... different from what he expected? The taste was similar, he recognized that. But the texture disturbed him. It wasn't the familiar dry, sweet and flakey pieces of deboned, cooked fish he was used to, instead it was chewy and meaty.

Fluffy then feels something crunchy and sharp in his mouth and spits it out, coughing. It's a fish bone, something his sensitive soft mouth just wasn't used to.

"This is weird," he complains, poking at the bone, hoping Midnight wouldn't mind if he didn't eat it. He wasn't sure if he could if he wanted to. It hurt. "The rest of it tastes good, though. Midnight, what is hunting? How did you get this fish? I want to know! Tell me, tell me!" His voice is small, squeaky and curious.

* She sat down and pulled the rest of the fish towards herself. She focused on deboning it. *
" Hunting is where you search and kill for your food. Like mice. "

"Is it easy to do? Is it fun? Is it easy?" Fluffy asks a lot of questions now, bouncing around the she-cat like a little excited ball of energy, "Can you show me how to do it? And what are mice? Do they taste better than fish?"

Seeing Midnight debone the rest of the fish, Fluffy takes just one more, a small one. On the first time, it was unfamiliar, but on second try, Fluffy felt he had never tasted anything as delicious as this before. Even the tiny bones that were too small to be plucked out just made it crunchier.

* She sighed and shook her head. *
" Don't you have twolegs to get back to? "

"But it's so fun here, and it's boring in the house!" Fluffy squeals, "Pretty please?" He blinks his round blue eyes at Midnight. "I want to play just a little more and catch a fish!"

He's still bouncing around, the thought of home near forgotten. And maybe he could eat more new and different things! Fluffy cheers up at the very thought. Besides, his paws were sore walking to this spot, so he didn't really want to go back so fast. Maybe after a day. Or two. Or three. It really depended on how fun things were.

" No, I'm taking you back to your twolegs. I'm sorry, but the longer you stick around the more likely that your twolegs come out here looking for you and I don't want them this close to my den. "

Fluffy pouts, but he doesn't fight Midnight and simply hangs his head- then his expression brightens as a thought strikes his head. If she was taking him back, then... "Are you going to come with me?" He meows excitedly. "This is great! All the cats except me in the Housefolk place are lazy and slow, so I can't play." He hops around Midnight and cheers, "We can play together!"

* She didn't answer. She just lowered herself down and pick up Fluffy. and placed on her back. *
" Hold on. I'll carry ya back to your twolegs. "
