Mistyshard padded into the nursery, her single amber eye brightening as she spotted her adoptive kits, Elderkit and Starrykit. She felt a pang of guilt for not being around as much lately. With everything going on, it had been hard to find time. But she swore to herself that she had to be better and not forget about spending time with them again. Just because she was pregnant and had other complications didn't mean she could just leave them alone..

"Hey, you two!" the silver tabby she-cat called out, a warm smile on her face. "I'm so sorry I haven't been here much. I've been really busy, but I'm here now." She sat down beside them, wrapping her tail around her paws. "How about we play a game of mossball?" she asked, her tone playful. "I'm a pro at it, you know." Mistyshard nudged a piece of moss towards them, her eye twinkling with mischief.

"But if you don't want to that's fine too.. we can just talk.. if something's been troubling you lately? Or- or we could do both, I don't mind. What works best for you guys.."

A voice rung from the nursery's entrance, calling for Elderkit's attention as she turned around to face the medic, one of the only few familiar cats within the entire clan. The one who treated both her and her sister's injuries from the dangers, albeit it scarred, they were alive. Elderkit blinked, watching Mistyshard before a small smile tugged on her lips, gently nudging Starrykit.
"It's alright."
Elderkit mew in a controlled, polite tone, nodding lightly before her eyes fell on the clump of moss and her gaze widened in curiosity.
"Mossball...? What's that?"
She question, looking up at Mistyshard before her eyes fell on Starrykit.
"What do you want to do, Starry?"
