Vinepaw launched towards the vole his ears flexing he sunk his teeth into the voles neck and sighed triumphant.He sat back relaxing slightly he hadn’t realized how tense he had been while crouching.He turned over and saw his mentor with two “Whoah nice! You got two!” He says with admiration he sets his vole down beside him and flexes his claws.

Dustbunny purred in delight after she was praised for her work. It was rare for anyone to admire or praise her for anything she did as she enjoyed being a wallflower, so she relished in the rare moments she was acknowledged for anything.

"You did great for your first hunting attempt underground. It took a lot of trial and error before I could catch even one vole. You'll be able to catch them the same more you work at it." Vinepaw had a great start since the first time Dustbunny tried digging out prey from the walls, they all darted out of reach of her paws. He at least caught something.

"Let's head back to camp, you've done excellent work today but don't want to push yourself too much." Dustbunny grabbed her voles and led the way to the nearest exit, satisfied with everything done today.

Vinepaw watched Dustbunny with a quiet sense of pride as she purred, her eyes gleaming with the rare glow of achievement. His own success, though modest compared to Dustbunny's experience, felt like a small victory. He had never been one to seek the spotlight, and seeing his mentor's satisfaction was enough for him.

As they made their way back to camp, Vinepaw glanced at Dustbunny with a mix of respect and curiosity. "I know you said it took you a while to get the hang of it," he meowed, his tail flicking thoughtfully, "but did you have any tips for when prey starts darting away? I felt like I was just chasing shadows in the dark." He says while falling into step beside her, his paws light on the ground. He admired Dustbunny’s dedication and patience, qualities he hoped to mirror in his own training. The camp loomed ahead, its familiar scent filling the air as they approached. Vinepaw felt a sense of contentment as he prepared to share the fruits of their labor with their clanmates.
