Maggotkit notes Fallenkit's flattening posture with a wary expression. It's not very good at playfights, it thinks—this is because Maggotkit's never actually been in a playfight. Worried about being bad at something that it's never even thought to try before, the scruffy kitten quickly tries to think up a way to avoid this happening.

"Um. Every cat in the forest knows that jumping on Maggotthroat makes you extra stupid and smelly, also." It mentions, trying to sound casual. "...I'm marking the borders now, okay? Mark, mark, mark." It doesn't know how borders are marked, only that they are and that keeping them marked is a very big deal for cats on patrols. So Maggotkit sort of drags its little feet and kicks at the ground, stating aloud what this is supposed to represent.

"Mark, mark, mark. Oh no! Is that a Shadowclan cat? I hope she's not extra stupid and smelly. That would be embarrassing for her."

Fallenkit giggles at Maggotkit's silly words, and she jumps forward, landing on it. Grrrrr. She growls playfully, batting at it's back, claws sheathed.

"Gah!" Oh, the dismay! Maggotkit's mindgames didn't work and now it's been pounced flat. Maggotkit topples over pathetically, not sure what to do. Its ears and face are hot and it is mortified. Fallenkit seems far more comfortable playing these kinds of games and Maggotkit might just hate her for it; it hasn't decided yet.

It kicks and struggles and lashes and writhes, just trying to unseat the unwanted passenger on its back. Maggotkit is not taking any care to keep its own claws sheathed—it is too frustrated with this moment to care about that.

"Get off! Getoffgetoffgetoff!"

Fallenkit topples off of Maggotkit's back, taking a paw to the face. Are you okay? She asked, afraid that she might have hurt it.

Maggotkit wobbles back to its feet, pointedly avoiding eye contact. It feels wretched, and it's not entirely sure why. It just doesn't like that sort of playing—but it wonders if, maybe, it wishes it did. Could that be why this is so frustrating?

Maggotkit ignores Fallenkit for a good long while, agitatedly scraping at the flowers scattered on the ground. They're all droopy and ugly-looking, now. These can't be for Leopardpaw or for anybody.

"I don't know what to do when you do that," it says finally, staring hard at the flowers but talking to Fallenkit. "Fighting games are stupid."

Fallenkit nods, knowing best not to argue. She looks down at her paws, unknowing of what to say.

Maggotkit is only getting angrier, mostly with itself. It's not doing this the way that it wants to. Fallenkit isn't acting the way it wants her to, but it can't blame her for that. Maggotkit has the strange, distinct feeling that it is the one making things difficult right now, and it's not too sure how to fix that.

How does it make this situation play out the way that it wants when it's the reason things are bad to begin with? What does it even want right now? What a stupid problem to have.

Maggotkit starts picking up all the little wildflowers. "You have to take these because they're yucky now. I can't give them to my sister. So you take them," it demands.

Fallenkit stares at the soggy wildflowers and frowns, pawing at them. I don't want them. She tells it, making a face. They were all gross and, well. Dead. She didn't like dead thinks, and she stared at it.

"What. No, you have to take them," Maggotkit presses impatiently, heaping the mess of beaten up flowers at Fallenkit's feet. "Take them." It repeats, little tail lashing. It doesn't get what the big deal is. The flowers are gross and sad, but somebody had to take them and Maggotkit had already decided that it needed to be Fallenkit.
