Rabbitpaw

Rabbitpaw allowed some of his anxiety to be quelled by Crowtooth’s words but that didn’t mean he stopped completely, no not even close. Though he understood that logically his mentor was going to be fine, it wasn’t like he ate a lot and when they returned Miss Lightningstorm would be able to help him just in case but still. His mom was still too fresh for any of his parental figures ( read: just Crowtooth ) to be even hurt! He would like to avoid that please and thank you. But Crowtooth said that they would start back… ah right, borage. Rabbitpaw quickly grabbed as much borage as he could and returned to Crowtooth’s side, watching him cautiously, as though he would keep over the moment Rabbitpaw’s watchful eyes left him.

Following behind the two cats the young molly kept close to them. Riverclan may not be in their territory, but it sure did freak her out a little bit. Would they want revenge after what the clans did to them? Would she actually have to fight in a battle? If she were Riverclan she'd be pretty angry for all clans wanting to drive them out. Sure it was well deserved, but to leave everything she knew? That scared her.

Barleypaw stopped along the border, hearing her mentors speech about marking the border. She thought she could handle that. She moved over, but didn't cross over. Below she could hear the water as if it was right there at her reach. She did exactly as she was told as she marked the border as she moved back to them.

"Have you not had a tour yet?"
Silverrose's ears flickered, turning to glance at Lightningpaw at the revelation. She pondered, an impractical element to lack at his age - but she wouldn't comment further, continuing to mark the border, ear strained for any dangers or replies, or questions. And always a careful eye observing the two apprentices with her. But, with three, the duty of marking the border thoroughly was quickly finished, and once WindClan's scent lay strongly at the border once more, she turned both her apprentice's ways.
"Well done;"
She began, nodding though she knew Barleypaw could not see, approaching her apprentice.
"Barleypaw, please show me what you remember from the hunter's crouch; you did exceptionally well last time, so you may begin hunting if you catch wind of something. I will be watching, and here to assist you at any moment."
She explained, a faint smile tugging on her maw before turning her gaze on Lightningpaw.
"The same applies to you, Lightningpaw. Go ahead and show me your hunter's crouch."

Lightningpaw- He/Him, 9 moons old looks more like 7 moons old due to being a runt, no purrks, Windclan Apprentice.

Lightningpaw would seem a bit down at this as he knew not doing the Territory Tour at his age must've been quite the unusual. And Silverrose seemed to confirm this suspicion. "Well umm... No... Crowstumble never trained me and Bravebird went to the nursery shortly after I became her apprentice..." Lightningpaw would meow Silverrose his tail drooping some. He had hoped to do the Territory Tour before all this but things just hadn't worked out that way. Though from his understanding he seemed to of managed to see most of the Territory through just doing Patrols and stuff. When Silverrose asked if he knew how to hunt he would nod. "Warmsun showed me how to hunt mice and voles in the Sunset Groves." Lightningpaw would meow to Silverrose. @Estelle @Madelaine

Now that they were finished they moved onto hunting. Oh she remembered that clearly. Nodding her head she quickly got into the proper crouch. She lowered herself slightly to the ground. She kept her tail near herself to make sure it didn't cause any noise. She turned her head in her mentors direction, waiting to see if she actually had remember. She hoped she did. Did she?

Of course. Lackadaisical warriors and mothers to be (though she blamed Bravebird much less, she hadn't expected the feline to take on a family), Silverrose sighed.
"We'll have to fix that then, won't we? We can head out again after the patrol."
She hummed lightly, fixing an eye on Lightningpaw. Perhaps she could take Barleypaw along as well, refresh the borders and territory a little. But for now hunting was on the menu, and Lightningpaw didn't seem to be heading off despite claiming to know how.
"Well, get to it then. Stay where I can see you, or I'll have you clean the nursery instead of giving a tour."
She urged Lightningpaw, an unexpected hint of teasing in her tone - stars, Lightningstorm wasn't rubbing off on her now, was she? Silverrose turned her eyes on Barleypaw, appraising her apprentice's crouch, giving a good nod.
"Well done, Barleypaw. I'll let you hunt yourself, but stay near enough where you can detect my scent, alright? I can't be losing sight of either of you, now."

Lightningpaw would nod and head off in a direction trying to pinpoint some prey he managed to smell a vole in the direction he was heading in and would attempt to creep forward on it his haunches keeping his paws from being too heavy Lightningpaw kept his tail above the ground as he approached closer. Soon he was within striking range and he prepared his pounce. He hopped forward his claws outstretched to catch his prey it would squeal in terror for only a moment before Lightningpaw managed to bite into it's neck killing it. Lightningpaw would turn around with the prey dangling from his mouth with pride in eyes. @Estelle @Madelaine

Barleypaw nodded then moved on to hunt. A few moments later she came back with one mouse.

Keeping a safe distance, Silverrose appraised both apprentices as each of them went on their separate hunts, both evidently successful. She couldn't help the slight smile creeping up on her maw as she noted how well Barleypaw was doing in regards to hunting, and Lightningpaw wasn't doing all bad himself.
"Well done, you two. I reckon you're both just about ready to move on to rabbit hunting."
She commented, noting to herself that she ought to take Barleypaw rabbit hunting soon - one of the requirements, to be sure. She might as well take Lightningpaw along, too, it sounded like his mentors had been rather occupied.

"Wait here."
She told both of them, giving a brief nod before she moved to hunt herself. Before getting too far, she turned and called back, scenting a rabbit in the air. With a flick of her tail she signal for their silence and attention, crouching low and creeping up on the prey and its child before sprinting off in a short-lived hunt, claws digging into the parents and soon enough its slower child, each finished with a bite of their own. Her ears swivelled, picking up the adult and the little, padding her way back towards the two apprentices.
"Let us return. You both did well today."

Lightningpaw watched the Warriors hunt studying it closely noting every little detail as she approached the unsuspecting prey until she finally sprinted forwards the rabbits didn't stand a chance and Lightningpaw saw Silverrose bring back two rabbits for the price of one albeit one was a child. Lightningpaw couldn't help but feel a small pang of sympathy for the life that was cut short too soon but he also knew that the Clan came first so didn't dwell on it for too long. Instead he would follow Silverrose as she lead them towards the Camp. He couldn't wait to tell Bravebird how well he was doing! She would be proud of him! @Madelaine @Estelle (Although the sad part was that he would never get the chance to tell his Mentor.)
