Blistered Pads... Everyone Hates 'Em

Darkclaw walked up a trail. She was going to see the mountains today! The rocks beneath her pads were digging into them, and she grimaced in pain.

Lionear noticed Darkclaw was padding up alone, so she ran up to her. The rocks were tough against her paw pads, but she coped. "Where ya goin'?" She asked, giving a nervous look to Darkclaw.

Darkclaw snorted. She had never really seen this cat around, so she must have just become a warrior. She looked down at the younger warrior and mewed, I'm headed to the mountains. Darkclaw bent down to lick her reddened pads, and winced.

"I'll come with ya!" Lionear decided, following after Darkclaw. After doing nothing all morning, she could finally do something fun!

Darkclaw huffed, but her spirit brightened when she saw a patch a flowers up ahead. She broke out into a run, but suddenly gasped. Her pads stung so much! She sat down, ignoring Lionear. Looking at her paw, she saw a rock was wedged into her pad, and one of her blisters had burst! Blood was seeping from the gash that had the small stone in it, and she groaned in pain. She would have to see the new medicine cat to get that one out!

Lionear ran over to her new friend(or who she thought was her new friend) and meowed, "Forget the journey! We gotta get ya to the med den!" She licked some blood off of Darkclaw's paw.
